It’s not a jingle jam unless Duncan crashes a train
"a"
For 11 minutes I thought this would be a supercut of every Duncan Train Crash and not just 2023 alone.
Came to the comments to say this ^^
This was a good year for train crashes.
""Lewis: So Duncan, what are we going to do this year?
Duncan: Same thing we do every year Lewis, i am going to crash my trains!
They are Duncan and the Alchoholic
Yes, Duncan and the brain
One is an alchoholic, the other crashes trains
They're invest in the game
Their livers have been toxified
They're Duncan, they're Duncan and the Lewis
Drunk drunk, drunk, crash crash crash, drunk drunk drunk.""
OpenTTD 2024, Duncan needs to just make roads and stick to trucks and busses, avoid the train crashes entirely
Time when they showed the game was around 9:16:30 and the first crash happened around 11:05:00 . So the prediction of 1 to 2 hours was accurate.
The funny thing about Tom and Ben's "Twitch Chat Divination" joke is that (iirc) it's kind of an actual thing. If you get a sizable group of people who are at least somewhat knowledgeable about a subject (ie. can make educated guesses, not totally random ones) and ask them all to guess or predict something and then average their responses together, you can get remarkably close to the truth.
The example I first heard was gathering a bunch of farmers (let's say, 100) and asking them all to guess the weight of that year's prize cow at the local faire. If you average all of their guesses together, you're very likely to get the cow's actual weight. I believe it's called the wisdom of the crowd, or similar.
Another wrinkle to this is that if you ask individuals to guess separately then you can get an average that is close to the answer
But if you ask a group to submit one answer together, letting the group discuss together, then that guess is actually less accurate
you know I don't think Duncan knows how signals work.
It also didn't help that he was already quite drunk at the _beginning_ of the stream.
@@ze_rubenator I think he wakes up drunk.
Watching Duncan slowly descend into madness is hilarious
Classic Duncan.
its not a tradition unless Duncan crashes a train :D
At this point it's just a Duncan guarantee.
Stop smoking Duncan!
I don’t think it’s his vaping lmao
This was my first year catching Christmas Trains live, and wow, I was not disappointed
~It's the most Wonderful time of the yeeeeeaaar~ *Sounds of trains exploding*
Ok I’m regretting going to sleep in the middle of this stream now, fucking amazing
We need a compilation of all the times Duncan's crashed a train over the years
My favourite Bom and Ten character is Malcador the Signal light
Don’t need the chaos engine of twitch chat to predict
All we need is Ben!
Never let him work in train industry.
Considering the state of UK national rail, i think he already does
The station where the train with cows crashed should be called burger station
Ironically, just based only on appearance, Duncan seems the most experienced and knowledgeable.
The truck trick
the path signal doesnt tell it to find a free path it tells it to go where it wants based on what station is availible, it tells it to ignore trains in the block ahead, meaning if theres another train reversing in the same line then itll crash right into it
misinformation. When a train goes through a path signal, it reserves the track path ahead of it until the text signal, and if it can't reserve a path it will stop at the signal. You can see which tracks are reserved because they are darkened.
What Duncan didn't understand was that he needed signals both into and out of the station. Since there were no signals going out of the station, the trains stopped at the station were reserving the junction into/out of the station, preventing other trains from entering the station. This confused him, causing him to mess with the signals - while trains were there - causing crashes.
Didnt the devs of OpenTTD move path signals to an opt-in option, hiding them from the default? I haven't used path signals in years because of this.
@@dopwop553I think they changed it so you _only_ see path signals by default
MILLIONS dead
Duncan looking like Rythian lmao
Honestly, I'd probably do the same
Mamma mia...
Irks me a little bit that some kind hearted fellow donated 5k and the moment it was announched, people are screaming about pixelated train crashes
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, I didn't watch the stream and I'm sure they went back through donations and thanked them later
They couldn't read any as it wasn't working properly on the night, though that was when they were doing jingle cats so not sure if they fixed it in the break
@@ryanswift5724 They could read it because most left fellow was trying to tell them
@@elderkirkusthey read out all the big donations a little later when there was some down time in the game
