A tough cruise this week as a low pound means everyone keeps getting stuck on the bottom of the Coventry canal what with that, broken locks and over enthusiastic lockies it feels like the perfect storm. Talking of storms; is this really June? Then to top it all off we get another warning light to go with the one we already can't get rid of! Come join us in Same Ship Different Day to find out more!

Great vlog Guys
Thank you, means a lot x
Hi Folks, before you go spending money on a new alternator, check the wiring that passes under the motor. I had same problem, changed out the alternator, and still had the problem. Turns out it was a wire to the sensor that had worn off its jacket and was intermittently shorting out. Best of luck. Freddie
Thanks Freddie, we will check that out it will certainly be good if thats all it turns out to be!
Great vlog again. So proud of you Sonya you seem to be able to put your hand to anything and no doubt you wouldn't be able to manage without Tongs help. 😍
Look out for Edwin Star’s old House “Pooley Hall” just visible through the trees foliage but is close to the canal. 😎👍🏼
Will do!
Be careful today. Sounds like there are many problems. Love watching your videos. Keep going. Sonia you are the star.🎉
Thank you, we will, she is a star, but don't let her know!
Top marks for your effort, Sonya. I do know with a car if you disconnect the battery and let it sit for a minute then reconnect it, it will stop the 'check engine' light from coming on. It many not work in your situation but it's worth a try.
Take care you three ~ Lacy, Mike & Hamish
PS. When building a narrowboat, who's bright idea was it to place the engine in a small hole in the bottom of the boat? Seems to us there must have been a better way.🤔
At this point we will try anything! Moving around the engine bay is so difficult and the thing you need to get to is always the most awkwardly placed! Thanks for the message you three, great to hear from you
Get your a multimeter check out the out put poss just the dioed pack on the altinator 😊
We have ordered one and will check it out! Thanks 😏
Great vlog do enjoy your mechanics Sonya 👏 keep it up guys
Thank you what you don't see is behind the scenes I actually do all the work but I just let Sonya get all the credit
@sameshipdifferentday2024 🤣🤣🤣 check the engine mounts, you may have a loose nut😅
@@micb5454 will do no one wants a loose nut...
Well done,I can't show my Ms,s as she would definitely tell me where to go 🤣 and it wouldn't be anywhere near the canal, Enjoy yourselves 👍
We always try! Glad you enjoyed it, Scott did well!
Xx

Klingons on the starboard bow ? Or just a low pound 😊Sonya will sort it out .Hope you manage to beam up to the local chippy& pub and get the alternator fixed.👍
Still waiting on the alternator, but the chippy and pub definitely did happen!😆
Great vlog
Glad you enjoyed it, means a lot
Superwoman Sonya!
That made her smile! 😍
I'm sure its the same on all similar boats as space is such a premium but it looks so hard to get to anything on your engine never mind fix it.
I can barly get in there, Sonya can get in but cant get back out!
Cheaper option wow it was a miracle you didnt end up wearing that socket, will done Sonia. Another great vlog. What did you both teach if you dont mind me asking. Good luck sorting the engine issue
Everything! We both taught Primary so we know a little about everything but also not a lot aboout anything! Glad you enjoyed the vlog x
Watch the vlog. What's the numbers on your two belts and I can possibly tell you if they're the same X great vlog
13990LI Sonya thinks, the old one didnt have a number on it.
@@sameshipdifferentday2024 13 is the top width in mm. 990 is the length. Also known as an A section belt. And you could order as an AX39 which is the size in imperial (39 inches= 990) The ax means it has teeth or also known as cogged. Very standard belts in the trade.
@@mariannegordon7237 thank you that is so helpful
You do well mate, getting Sonia doing all grease monkey jobs😅. My Mrs said she deserves a treat after all that work. Get you hands in your pocket mate😅
Mate she already has a treat...- me! Luckily for me she loves working on the boat, but I just bought her a donut from Greggs after yur advice!
Sonia, I've been exactly in the same position trying to get the small belt off my Canaline 52. I too found an additional bolt after searching. You did well, good learning curve. Your content gets better and better! Cheers Howard
@@howardeastman311 thanks Howard always appreciate your comments and they are always so😁 helpful!
