Yeah but that's pretty much every character. Incin is already a very solid character and doesn't need buffs (as much as I'd like some)

Riddles dropped a lot of combos and died to a lot of weird shit. He seemed very unfamiliar and flustered or something

I went to see who won the set after this video and all i can say is why does everyone get hit by kazuya side b of ledge. Its literally so painful to see it happen to skyjay of all people
And riddles does that alot, skyjay has proven he can hang with and beat the best in the world, hes just gotta clean up mistakes like this. But hes certainly improved since i last saw him play, the biggest difference being the shift in playstyle from round to round. He wasnt getting baited, or falling into habit or auto pilot with his combos, he was thinking all the time and being more careful. And the side b stalls off stage, makes me proud to be a firecat main with skyjay leading the pack!
Because high level smash isn't a flow chart of, "I'm never going to get hit by that again" mentality lmao, it's constant multiple reads and adaptions at a very fast pace. That one thing you thought was bad, might just work against you one day. So yeah basically, Riddles timed Skyjay's edge habbits.
@@DJSerpent this, not getting hit by cheese on elite smash is different to not getting hit by cheese in tournament against high level players
I will still say it doesn't deserve to stun when the moves description literally says only stuns if they are hit at the beginning. But the aerial version just ignores that.
But yeah, at that level you probably shouldn't get hit by it offline. Online's a different story.
@DJSerpent this though. But also, tbf it seems like Riddles was saving it. Hadnt done it until that very moment to make SkyJay think "okay he hasn't gone for this all set so he won't ever go for it" then he went for it.
Also it's very annoying because, in respecting side B, you have to give up some ledge pressure to outspace it to make sure you won't get hit by it. Especially someone as slow as incin.
It’s especially Skyjay played as well as he did this set considering Kazuya is one of Incineroar’s WORST matchups. This run was the stuff of legends man

Riddles couldn't do any combo from 0 to death to Skyjay, it was all the other way around, the best set of all smash
Kazuya shouldn't be 0 to deathing you if you know how to DI the combos which majority of top players do

@@foe7622 Even if you know how to DI, the Kazuya can still guess 50/50 if you DI in or out and respond accordingly. Its a essentially a guessing game if the opponent knows how to DI ewgf.
@@yuanwang9324 Exactly, this is exactly why I don't get the people who say Kazuya isn't as good as he seems. Yes, he'ss low and has a simple gameplan, but unlike some, if he gets to you, it's literally a coin flip if he takes your stock, especially with a Kazuya player like Riddles.

He probably used the jump already. He double jumped on stage, and as soon as he tried landing on the platform, Skyjay knocked him out

First off Kazuya is far from the must busted character. Second Incin is mid tier at worst and has a very solid argument for high tier.

Love the mid tier option select mentality. A lot of people can’t handle losing when they try their hardest, so they intentionally pick bad characters and pretend like they are some sort of righteous crusader against tierwhoring, when it’s really just an ego protection mechanism.
Skyjay himself admitted he couldn’t close the set. A player with the classic ‘lul my char sux so I can never ACTUALLY lose’ mentality would never get to skyjay’s level. You’ll never get anywhere in competition if you’re scared of losing
This is probably one reason why they made incineroar have bad move and air speed. The 0 to death would be almost too easy. On the same level as prepatch chrom up b combos.

"He's so slow! he's an honest low tier" Just because he's lacking in some areas does not make him honest, that 0-death was literally just 2 up airs combod into a move that kills at 0. Incin has some insanely oppressive cheese that's fun to watch but infuriating to play against.
I will say though, if there is any character in the game that deserves for this to happen to them its definitely kazuya. Enjoy a taste of your own medicine lol
