The wood is furring strips from lowes/homedepot, not really made for interior design since they're often banged up and not straight so I just made sure to pick the best ones I could (size was 1.5" x 8').
From there I just cut them to size, stained them, and used paneling nails to hold them in place.
I found they looked best when closer together so I did a 1" gap in-between each when hanging, but if I had more I probably would have done a smaller gap.
Which headphones do you like the most for gaming?
Overall I tend to lean towards the Sennheiser hd560s more often (don't think they're shown in this video)
Sometimes I just find myself wanting to grab something easy to throw over the head and they're super comfy with a warmer tonality, really easy to listen to.
But if I want to get into some really competitive play and sweat I'll throw in the Truthear Zero Reds. I feel like they do a better job of making the audio feel more "in my head" and audio queues like footsteps and gunshots feel more prevalent.
What wood finish(the dark one) did you use for the wall slats?

I've worked with a lot of brands internally as a video editor as well as an "influencer" for socials in the past, so I was able to send them some of my previous work and what to expect and they accepted my offer.
Doesn't always work out that way but you never know if you don't ask.
