- This is a compilation of footage from the Epping Ongar Railway's Autumn Diesel Gala on Saturday 25th September 2021. The locomotives included are: Class 14 D9551, Class 20 20227 "Sherlock Holmes", Class 37 D6729 (37029) and Class 47 47635 "Jimmy Milne". In fact, I've actually seen and ridden behind 20227 before at the North Norfolk Railway in 2019. I also made a video that day which features the loco.
I've never been a fan of diesels but I'd heard many people say that diesel galas are brilliant. Therefore, I thought I'd give this one a go and I can safely say that I do not regret it one bit! Thanks to this event, I have a new found respect for diesels, especially Class 37s!
I'd like to point out that the video quality in the last 20 minutes of the video is bad because my camera doesn't film very well in the dark, but it doesn't mean that you still can't enjoy the sound of the Class 37 thrashing!
Please do give me feedback on how to improve my videos in the comments.
Please give me feedback/criticisms, I want to make my content the best I possibly can.
Magic video, the onboard clips are unreal. Some fantastic sounds coming from those locos, really enjoyed the ride👍👍👍
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Did you have a favourite loco? Mine would definitely be the Class 37 simply because of the noise it makes! If you want more diesels I’d recommend my LT Gala video because it has their Class 31 thrashing in it.
@@AnythingOnRails hi, yes the 37 was making some great sounds but the 47 brings back a lot of memories. All of the clips were as clear as crystal and the bashed up 37 looked great too 👍👍👍
very good footage and the sounds are great more please
I can’t guarantee anything since I have no railway visits planned at the moment!
Great sounds
Nice vid! saw myself appear a few times, have subscribed!
Thank you! I have subscribed to you too. It’s always fun seeing yourself in a video isn’t it! Do you visit the EOR often?
