Welcome to Anything On Rails. As you can probably guess from the name, this channel is mostly about trains. This is where I post videos from my visits to various heritage railways. If you think that I am a massive nerd for liking trains, then you are absolutely right! I am mostly into steam and diesel locomotives. I cannot stand any of that modern rubbish! I am a volunteer at the Epping Ongar Railway in Essex as a guard, porter, ticket office clerk, ticket inspector, train steward and train manager. I have an ambition to publish my own documentaries on this channel one day. I hope you enjoy! Please share and subscribe!

This is a video from a visit to one of the only heritage railways open in January, the Spa Valley Railway. Running was a Class 31 and Caledonian Railway 828. Really enjyjoyable video, I really enjoyed the opening lineside shots of 2999 and 45690, the one of 5521 going across the bridge was wonderful!
I am glad you enjoyed it! I was very pleased by the shot of the prairie going over the bridge, especially because I stumbled across that bridge by accident just a few minutes before the train was due past!

All this is only twenty miles from middle of London Beautiful scenery and sounds of the birds England at its best trains were fantastic as well ❤❤❤

What was the fastest speed, if I may know ? It appears to be around thirty kms per hour at times.
I believe the fastest the trains go is 20mph/32kmph (although they can go up to 25mph/40kmph).

It's a lovely line there. I visited just after covid. The footpaths along pretty much the whole line help with the videoing. The lions of bledlow pub is a nice Pit stop along the walk aswell
