Nth are playing ant there absolute best against teams with quite a few quality players missing. Running over teams you recon?? It was a gd effort & game. The umpires once again were 🤮.
Plus: Pressure building. Keep on it. Minus: Goal kicking. Those full forwards & half forwards are supposed to be able to kick goal. Assistant coachs' job to help make it better in the regard.
North work so hard for their goals which makes it frustrating when they give away cheap ones. Third quarter there were free unmanned Melbourne players everywhere. North hate the spread and big grounds, MCG was a huge negative. The big positive was North's defense greatest improvers. Archer, Combden and Corr really did amazing.
Agree with your take. The Dees got a run of easy goals in both the first and third quarters and we seemed to be bereft of ideas on how to stop it. That still happens too often. The defence however is improving and I think we win if Dawson isn't suspended. Corr did well, but he also gifted the Dees a goal when he kicked the ball across the goal to be intercepted. We missed too many set kicks for goal in this one after hardly missing anything at all last week.
Max Gawn dragged Melbourne over the line with May assisting even though xerri played a great game Gawn did a Carey and dragged them over the line that last boundary throw in where he grabbed it and kicked long showed that he was the difference between us
North didn’t even have their captain in their loss to Collingwood which obviously would have been a win if the umpire made the correct 50m penalty. All teams are missing players.
