It's too bad that we grow old and pass away and not be able to hear music like this forever.Loved the FT and Levi. What a great voice.
Possibly the greatest song in the history of motown, amazing to see it in color!
Omg!! This is rare. I love it Diana looks like she is having such fun and with a tambourine. I love this performance.
A true talent Levi Stubbs. Stayed with his tops till the end. Could have gone solo any time he wanted.
@Henry Tudor Yes and all most the only true stars left, Eddie levert,Walter Williams,o jays. But think retire soon.
I think Levi, despite his great vocal talent, lacked confidence in his dance moves and was happier having the others on stage with him. They were his friends as well as band members.
@@jeremymanning2132 so true. I thought Luther v was a better singer than Alexander oneil, but found Alex more raw and confident . How bout eddie levert???
@@trevorlintott598
Luther used his voice like an instrument, fantastic vocalist.
Alexander was good but not in that league.
Eddie Levert, now he was awesome. Saw the Ojays live in 73 at the Hammersmith Odeon and he knocked me for six. As Don Cornelius on Soul Train said "One of the best voices in soul music!"
For me though, Teddy Pendergrass had the best soul voice of them all.
Good, you remember all the old ones, from a time these youngsters would never of known. What a great time to be around music.63 now but remember being in newquay when 17 with THE OJAYS on my t shirt. Keep playing the tunes.
Diane is there in the middle of it and she is smiling. That is great.
Mary?
Ross, having fun and that a splendid joy.
NO one like Levi his thick Baritone...OMG i miss him that voice. Rest in Peace Levi Stubs
UUPS - first look I have read "No one likes Levi" :))
Know what you mean, who didn't love Levi, world class gentleman
I also love that Miss Ross was the first one who initially remembered the group's classic choreography.lol
A sweet moment for all.
Thanks for posting.:)
Obi and that wonderful smile. He always lit up the stage with his smile. Levi's voice cannot be matched.
You gotta love Miss Ross!!!
This is awesome I wish they bring music like this back
Looooove seeing Ms. Diana Ross, Queen of Motown, with Levi 'The Great' Stubbs (R.I.P.). 🎖️🎖️🎖️
he didn't want her there!😉🙃😉
@@lindahines9380 lol well he seemed happy like everyone else up there 🙄
This song was & still is a classic! I so love this song!
My parents & their friends wore that record out in the 60s & Aretha's respect, rest Levi, you're still missed by thousands, you gave your all & man it was awesome
Dianna Ross with the 4 Tops, takes me back over 50 years!
Omg seeing this is heaven
Loved me some Tops when I was a kid. Hell all of the MoTown Groups were great.
Levi Stubbs is a great singer .But more importantly he is an example of what a man should be and act .We throw the word role model around. But that is what Levi Stubbs is .
love dianne ross too
MISS LEVI SO MUCH
Levi I would have done anything you asked me to. RIP babe. Gx
OMG!! I love it...
The Tops are always great, and Miss Ross is too fabulous for words, singing the lead along with Mr. Stubbs, instead of the backing line @:28!!!LOL
THE WONDERFUL FOUR TOPS..........AND DIANA ROSS, THE BEAUTIFUL LADY......
DIANNA IS GEORGEOUS
@@anetterichard2389 girl bye. It's always some asshole like you disrespecting black icons....
How am i disrespecting icons? This picture paints a thousand words. Bye to you too. You do you and I will certainly do me. You have a right to your perspective and so do I.
@@anetterichard2389 lol we’re you talking to yourself??
Die beste Musik, die es gegeben hat.
Gods of music ❤
how old was this guy and still singing amazing like in his youth years
Graciela Bonilla Levi was 54 Lawrence, Obie and Duke were all about 54 also. They rocked it out like kids. Wonderful group. Duke is still performing at 82.
60
@@janewolfe890 Lawrence was 52
Just brilliant
Two of the greats
Fantastic
Great! Thanks for posting.

Levi; I love you and nobody else. Gx
The Four Tops are so special and man their hits were so clinical.
Levi Stubbs will be so missed along with Obie Benson and Larry Payton.
Duke Fahr is the only survival.
Legends
Wow this is So much fun , Levi en Diana ❤️❤️❤️
LEGENDS
Miss Ross was the only who remember to dance
I know right.Love Miss Ross
Maravilloso, es bonito verlos juntos disfrutar de la musica
WOW!
Her star may have faded a bit but she is still the original DIVA. A true legan
Hard to watch, So many of them are gone now
The most beautiful woman in the world, Diana Ross.
You know it too, isn't she beautiful?
I know which ones you mean, but, this one is a totally different gown.
The RTL gowns to which you're referring doesn't have any lace, but, swirled bead work, at the collar, cuffs, etc.
DailyMotion still has a clip of their performance online.
Where's the part where Diana speaks about taking the bus from West Grand to go to the Motown studio?
I really wanted to hear the rest of the Sax solo...
❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Where?
Am I the only person to have noticed that Pete Townshend of the Who is on guitar here? lol
They must have had a BLAST doing this CLASSIC! LOVE IT! Fuck the Wrecking Crew! Funk Bro's ALL THE WAY!
The lead singer sings better here than he did even in the original recording! His voice cracked in the recorded version. Here it didn’t, and he even went higher!
It's very much true, when you hate a person you the one who suffers unfortunately. TWTR4EVER is the one who is suffering here.Diana is making your life a living hell. Poor thing!!!!!
Pay him no mind, he's a dick, he comments negatively on every Diana video. He must lead such a sad existance, he's more to be pitied really
well i have to agree with him, and i like Ross, but here he has a point completely.
ms ross i think has graced well.. life is too short to be bitter... mary and cindy and ross are older and soon they will be gone ...but what they gave lives on.. tks ms ross

Diana's wearing one of the 'Return To Love' gowns where she, Scherrie & Lynda sang 'You Keep Me Hangin' On"
No. It's the one from 'The Force Behind the Power' and when se sang 'Reach Out and Touch' on a TV show in America to collect money to help people who were suffering after a natural disaster. I don't remember which.
AAAhhhh I love this song and this group but the camera-person is driving me up the wall. Oh well, I'll be quiet now.
Yeah it was a weird angle and kept movie. I thought this was televised and prerecorded so could’ve edited
what about the Temptations.? why do you think the Tops were better?
yes the Tops were better
TOPS were better than anyone, anytime, anyplace. Just my opinion and I'm sticking with it. Love Levi, Obie, Duke, and Lawrence.
The four tops never had a changed of line up til recently and they don’t have the drama and issues that the temptation had.
No they were not. The temptations were better
@@lindahines9380 you mean the 1960 temps. We talking til Lawrence went in the ground, the Tops never had a change in personnel and Levi Stubbs voice nobody could match it. Let’s be real when Paul, Eddie and of course David left the Temptations and with the exception of Dennis Edwards, the later Temps had nothing on the Four Tops, also as a woman most women will agree that the Four Tops also had the better looking men (All Four of them were handsome men in their young days)only two were seriously handsome with the Temps and that was Eddie and Otis. Everybody else in the Temps just looked ok. I however love both but I loved the Tops for ever, and I loved the Temps the original Temps.
She wasn't singing lead. She was just in the way.
I agree, Diana is only in way here. She's a legend. But I don't respect how she has harmed others. That's just me but I wouldn't be silly to diminish her body of work and she is a charismatic lady.
that show is always too loose. need more rehearsal
A time when music was great.....mostly garbage now.
What Oldies Circuit ? This was during the Tops induction into the Hall of Fame. Put the Blunt Down it's killing your brain cells ! SMH.
Levi saying diana please leave
Miss Ross is twisted up in this joint
Did they almost forget there own song?
Levi looks like he would have rather been on stage with anybody else except Diana
It's really bizarre how we see things differently. I don't see that at all.
@@jobucats2166 Right!!!
I can see Bruce Springsteen there...
Diana looks somewhat frightened! LOL...
Because Miss Ross is out of her element, being onstage with the likes of the great Levi Stubbs and The Tops & The Tempts. Like the way that the two guys that she is sharing a microphone with, crowd in and don't let her get near it. (The way that she use to hog the stage when she appeared with Mary and Flo.)
THEY KEPT HER AWAY FROM LEVI 'WHO WAS TERRIFIED SHE WAS THERE--WAS THERE AN AFFAIR
she wasn't scared. she looked out of place to me!
@@lindahines9380 , yes she did.
@@anetterichard2389 you know why? lead singer Levi Stubbs didn't want her there
thats why
You think maybe the band could have rehearsed the song for a minute?
Show me a song with better vibes. I’ll wait.
Greatest song ever- just hated the Supremes were drowned out- should have given them a part . Just saying
Michelle Obama
Most of who I see on this list don't even belong in a Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Who judges this and what are they doing?
They’re shutting Diana out at the mic. Not classy at all. Motown was”a family “? Maybe not so much. Z
so diane has ended on on the oldies circuit with the likes of the 4 tops? haa haa poor poor diane what has happened to her once superstar career?
Bitch what? Are you still a live? It’s been 9 years and I’m not sure if you out the hospital yet
