I was interested in watching this video, because prior to the release of the Heroes Resistance box I think most people were under the impression we could only play as Heroes with the purchase of the X-Men box. Now I'm suspecting that we can get away without buying the X-Men box. It looks like it may be possible to add the Heroes Resistance box to the core box to make Hero Mode available. Doing it this way looks like it may save everyone money by paying for the less-expensive Heroes Resistance box instead of the X-Men one

well you can use this instead of the X-Men set, it has less trait cards and not every version. less spawn cards and no extra activation ones.
Until I get the x-men set to do a full comparison, that's all i can really say.

Thanks for this! Very helpful! I like the Heros fighting zombies theme, so it looks like I can just buy MZ:HR and base game, and use some of the cards from MZ:HR to play that.

Thank you for sharing; Are the physical miniatures in the "Heroes Resistance" different from the miniatures in the Kickstarter release?

yes. the miniatures in the Heroes Resistance have different poses and no "scenic bases"
