- Check out this SBC engine. Simply beautiful and 1750 HP to boot! Nre's Tom Nelson explains the engine, does a walk around, and street tests. Go to nelsonracingeng... and nelsonsupercars... for details and downloadeable videos for your IPOD and PS3. Awesome Camaro. This video was a early posting to you tube, but the encoding was faulty. For the thousands who watched the defective video, we appologize. This video should be correct. For help marketing your product or service go to VeritasMovieStu...
Stunning install. Very impressive for only 6psi of manifold pressure.
A job to be proud of.
That is a beautiful Camaro, I love the fact that they packaged it cleanly and didn't go with a huge hood scoop.
Tears of joy. I'll take one please. I got a 68 camaro that could use this beast of an engine, but I don't have 100 grand to spend so I'll just keep dreaming.
Now that is one amazing looking engine. Just excellent build quality.
Man I love this guys engines,Exactly how I want my engine, super strong
IT WOULD BE A DREAM COME TRUE IF I COULD HAVE A CAR BUILT BY YOU GUYS, THINK I'D BE THE ONLY ONE HERE IN THE UK WITH SUCH AN AWESOME CAR, BETTER GO AND BUY A LOTTERY TICKET NOW THEN!
Again and again NRE you guys do great work ,,, I love every bit of it ,,,
Can not stop Watching these videos!!!! That spool up on accel is just unbelievable!!!
nice to see people take pride in their work. I do the same thing with houses. Is so much fun to take something everyday and tune it to beyond most peoples normal thoughts
It's always nice to see a truly powerful Camaro that isn't ruined by being blown.
Your engines are beautiful, it's like artwork that kicks ass! Awesome!!!
I truely think Nelson built engines are the best and baddiest made, you guys are the best if not the best!!!!
I know he is used to this but he is all calm and cool. I would have a smile so big you couldn't remove it with a sledgehammer.
beautiful car and engine
Wow, every time I watch one of your vids or read about one of your cars it reaffirms that one day when I am done with college and have made some good money I am going to have you build me up a car.
One of the most insane Camaros i have seen in awhile. EXCELLENT CAR !
This is a Nelson Racing Engines v8.....maybe you should look into their builds and their innovation. Best custom v8's in the world right there, many of their combinations make WELL over 1,000 hp and WELL over 1,000 foot-lbs of torque on 91 octane pump gas.
Their more recent 572 twin turbo chrysler-based hemi is capable of damn near 2,000 hp on pump gas at relatively low boost, and 2,500 hp on race gas pushing less than 40 psi, fully streetable, completely reliable.
The '69 Camaro is my ultimate favorite car and my dream car and then you add the NRE Motor with a set of twins!!! All I can say is I WANT!!!
Tell me about it. I not only WANT, I would KILL for it!!
I'm not sure about the laws in Denmark but you're right about Sweden. Hot rodders often do change whatever is necessary to pass "bilbesiktningen" then take the car back home and change it back again.
What a beautiful car she sounds amazing
5:52 That moment when the engine goes into a runaway nuclear reaction, your not sure if the tires are on the ground and you say fuck it and keep your foot in it anyway. Priceless
i love tom cuz he likes detail and points out little shit done well that generally no one cares about
You hear that Supra guys... 750Hp @6psi. boost. That's displacement for ya =)
Jaw dropping, Nelson is a tier beyond all else.
Looks like fun! super charger VS twin turbo - Go. And why. My Camaro is 427 BB no boosters, all motor.
This company does such a good job... every video you can see the detail put into these things. And usually video doesn't do these things justice.
I like how at 2:22 The train comes in perfectly after he says "1750" and "small block chevy"!
Seem like a nice person, good explanation of your motor, we have a 1965 Cutlass Oldsmobile, and heck I can barely find a video online of the car.
WOW,love it, all under the hood, great job guys
That looks incredible under the hood. Good god.
That ride is insane! I love it! So jealous! Excellent job on it! Goooooo Camaro!
I admire this man and love those cars he builds some top notch hi performance cool rides 👍✌️❤️
even on video this car gives me that tingly feeling
that right there, is music to my ears!
that's a nice winter car you got there
Tom,
Seems you are one of the best with these big twins, I must comment you seem let down with not doing the fine tuning on this thing.. But yet it purely displays its ability with only 6lbs. Beautiful job.
@SunnyForShort Hmm thats interesting, I didnt know that, thanks for telling me I appreciate learning more about chevy engines, cheers.
if i win the lotto i know whos building my motor.
Amen 🙏🏽
Man I need this in my montecarlo
Dream On
You can use the AMS1000 boost controller to do that. They do use it on other cars to control the boost for individual gears.
Love watching these videos. I would love to have a 700+ hp car and still cruise, daily driver, not a killer on gas.
I really enjoy the Nelson videos wish I cud afford one of those motors for my Chevelle I recently upgraded mine w a 500+hp small blk but their engines wud amaze the racers here in Tennessee I wud be ecstatic if they wud sponser my car
dude, you have a very nice machine for sure.
there seems to be a blue thing stuck on that engine
Beautiful car so much power ! 👍
That is a thing of beauty,Jay Leno said give me a small block CHEVY cupple of turbos, your gonna have some nice horse power.I want that motor for my top secret Eclipse 3 gen...lol
This is ART
1750 street able HP that is incredible American ingenuity
It can be done. Bore and stroke a small block.
The old 350's chev and 351 fords had it done quite often.
The new LS style small block chev most guys stop at 408.
This is just something that people driving rice burners and computer controled evrything cars dont understand. The car was made in a era of pure muscle and skilled driving, and they kept it true to that for the most part.
Just a suggestion. You would probably get much better focus and steady video if you mount a camera to the top of the dash. Every time you gun it, I get to see your headliner! I do enjoy these little rides though!
It is the most horsepower that a production car has, meaning straight from a manufacturers build and unaltered by any outside elements, such as bolt-ons or tuning.
My 67 Camaro 356 c.i. Naturally aspirated engine make 600+hp & 600 pound feet of torque w/ a carburetor and dose a half a foot wheelie @ 6000 rpm at the drag strip
My favorite muscle car and twin turbo....someday I'll have it!
i'd say a standard 69 camaro ss would be a lion, this is more of a T-rex on bathsalts with chainsaws for arms
Yeah you can actually get Crate 427 and 454 small blocks now. Seen it on a few online stores.. Crazy Displacement for a small block :o
It's for drag racing. The front wheels are intentionally skinny to help the car track a straight line better during hard acceleration.
Beautiful car, nice job fitting all that under a stock style hood. I only have one problem, you sent it to Denmark! Let them restore their own muscle cars....... wait, they never made any!
@camaroking250
You can buy aftermarket SBC 427 blocks.
You can also do it using a 400 block.
Please take some of these AWESOME ENGINES TO THE STRIP...Will they hook up, what kind of times are they turning?
I'm sure he test's ever motor, and yes with racing fuel it will make that kind of power. If you could keep the heat in the motor at max boost it would make double,3000 plus. I believe he turns on more injectors and pumps and feeds from a second tank of racing gas.when at full boost.Racing automatics can handle enormous power,Do some metallurgy searches, their are some strong materials used in these transmissions, special clutch material, seals, shafts, convertors etc.
that things awesome i want one!
these dudes have the best jobs
Dream car :D
I love how you can hear that it is cooling down in the beginning part :D
5:52 omGG
Don't change anything on the exhaust, the sound is perfect! =)
@DeAdiSSu3 up here in Canada , if the car is old the regulation are those one from the year of the making of the car =), the older the car, the less restriction you get . i guess we are lucky in a way
wow 8:00 you are the king of V8's
i like how it says 396 on the side, guys at redlights are probably thinking "wtf was that, its only a 396"
She stole my heart
Nelson is the best. I also would have him do it
Respect NRE's authoritahhh
omg what a engine bay! 10/10
Tom nelsonracingengines you Build Badass engines this engines isn't kitty its a LION with alot of POWER 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
"Car is uncorced(?) right now so it sounds a little loud" Lol I like that! :D
2:22 that train in the background is like, "HI MOMMMM!!!!!
Beautiful!
You couldnn't "punch" a 350 block for a 4.125" bore necessary for this displacement without breaching the water jackets. You could however use an old 400 block which has the correct bore, stock. Better yet, you could use an aftermarket block from Dart or World Products which are specifically designed for big cubes from a small block. The Dart block is stronger but will require expensive mods to the heads to work, so I chose WP for my all-aluminum 427 (620 hp @ 6300 rpm).
my uncle built a chevelle this color but the ss decals were on the front fender
Dat engine bay X_X It is just pure beauty.
really stout peice is an understatement, biggg balllss to drive this
Probably under 40k for the engine, this was pre billet-block / mirror-image turbos with their custom solid inconel turbine wheels and such. NRE's more recent 572 Hemi w/ octane on demand, mirror image 88 mil's + billet block making over 1,900 hp on only 21 psi, that's definately a $50k+ engine by itself, not counting fab work to the car's chassis, beefed up suspension + brakes and other drivetrain components beefed up to handle the torque.
Frickin Sweet car Camaro!!!!!!!
Chevy Runs Deep
You Guys are amazing Bro!!! Thats Nutz!!!!
"my crazy denmark friends are gonna have a lot of fun with this thing..."
5:52 there goes all my gas haha. Amazing build man. i love it
sweet ride! or as the kids would say "nice whip"
those turbos sound like a jet!
Awesome car guys!!
8:07 that's not a fucking kitten. Holy fucking shit. I broke my head phones and woke my parents up. With head phones on.
Amazing car!!
nice car man! Congratulations!
sweet ride dude
Damn, that's a bad ass car!
If I win the lottery this is the first thing I'm buying.
Damn, that is a sweet ride!
I would like to see him build the new Corvette and Viper
sounds wicked fast
U should do this with Top Fuel, All u have to do its use a thicker block.
I love that there are guys out there developing stupid power like these guys. I would love a TT V8 with 'only' 600HP. Getting a 1100HP to be liveable makes the lesser HP engines that much better.
the sound coming out of those pipes is the sound the devil makes
