The Devil ending, specifically the Secure Your Soul ending was the first ending I had ever gotten for Cyberpunk. It was the most haunting and chilling ending for a video game I had ever played through aside from Spec Ops: The Line. I played through most of the game expecting to do right by V and everyone else, but ended up on a collision course that caused V to betray everyone and everything, including himself. I just was basically along for the ride, and with no way to turn back, I played it out for him, for everyone.
SPEC OPS MENTIONED, PTSD ADMINISTERED 🗣🗣🗣🗣
This game will always have a special place on my heart. The atmosphere, the music, the characters and the Night City… Everything is such beautifully crafted. It’s so sad that many people hates this game just because they heard it on the internet or that it wasn’t a cure for the cancer.
The game still has that fog-of-war effect on it. Because of the many bugs and the backslash, people are unable to see the beauty. I believe that in the future people will look back to this game with nostalgia and melancholy.
I love this game and hope that others will too ❤
U are absolutely right
It truly is a shame that the game had so much bugs at launch.
I hope people give it a second chance with the upcoming dlc, because it is just so good.
the thing of beauty...
I... I chose wrongly. I trusted Goro, and that I do not regret. He is a man of his word, but still a pawn. A role he... he loves. The ending where you become an engram, it just... It left me with such a feeling of betrayal. To everyone you met, but perhaps the worst, towards yourself. You did all of this for a cure, but there was none. Put on ice and hoping you won't be forgotten. Meanwhile everyone you helped are kept in the dark, because Arasaka sure as shit won't tell anyone.
A nice, boring life seems nice, but, when you now know there was never a chance, not a snowballs in Hell...
You might as well burn the candle at both ends.
@@JL32506 the canon ending being the space heist? with blue eyes for a construct like the one has to be constantly flowing in net ais
The only original ending you don't become an engram(and die) in is The Devil if you chose to go back to earth. (And Easy Way Out I suppose, but that still kills you.) I always thought that was an interesting thing.
I'm glad someone posted the "refuse" to sign in the devil ending. there are two variants of never fade away when you do the devil ending:
Sign the contract and the never fade away song will have more of the samurai cover slowly overshadowing the more depressive and sad version of the song. The guitar also sounds more louder at the end as if Anger had set in.
Refuse to sign it and you hear more of the calm, depressive version of the song with a bit of an "uplifting" melody at 5:25 this same note doesn't play when you sign the contract. Which makes returning back to earth so much sadder.
u got a link to that specific version?
In just one playtrough, i've become the best merc in town, saved kids from a psycopath, beat up the best boxer in town, swam in a sunken city, destroyed a yacht with the most famous rocker alive, rode a tank, allied myself to my biggest enemy, betrayed my best friend by doing it, my girlfriend left me and my friends don't know what happened to me.
It was a hell of a ride, i did it for myself, for my survival, i don't regret anything.
it was my first playtrought, its how i decided to end my adventure with V, thanks cyberpunk
Its insane how hard this ending hits because of the visuals and music.
Cyberpunk 2077 is my favorite game of all time. I've played it from the start. It wasn't as buggy for me as others, so I was able to experience the true experience of the game from release
My first playthrough isn't even my most memorable one. Right now, I'm on my 7th playthrough and I still do not get bored of the game.
The combat mechanics, unlike some people deny, is really fun. The cyberware system and weapon play never gets old. There are hundreds of combinations you can do to suit multiple playstyles.
The character customization is really expansive. You can make so many different V's. Even though you don't see V that much ingame, it still gives the game more character.
The story is a masterpiece. It's a tragedy in every way possible. It never ceases to break my heart and leave me empty, every time I play through it, no matter what ending I get. I always become connected with the characters and become immersed in the plot and lore. Speaking of lore, it is extremely rich as it descends straight from the TTRPG from the 80s and 90s. You got old legends like Adam Smasher, Johnny Silverhand, and Morgan Blackhand, but also new characters CDPR made such as V, Panam, Jackie, and many more. It's just so alive, which brings me to my next point
The environment is a whole separate art piece itself. CDPR did an amazing job making a city feel so alive, but dead at the same time. The colors and skylines are beautiful. The deeper meanings and thoughts about the city are where it gets dirty. Its just layers of emotion.
The soundtrack. Oh man, the soundtrack is just amazing. Samurai is probably my favorite band and there not even real. The OST is so good too.
The best part about the game, though, are its developers. Sure, they released a half-baked game at launch, but it was more investors' and the publishers' faults. They rushed the game. Yeah, there were tons of delays, but the reason for them was clear in the end. Anyways, the developers didn't give up on the game. They worked hard to fix their mistakes and at the time the Edgerunners anime debuted, the game's sales and popularity skyrocketed. People started to see the true beauty of the game after it got a second chance, and I'm grateful for that because many more people got to experience this game the way I did. They experienced the real game and not just a buggy mess.
I cannot wait for the Phantom Liberty expansion and Project Orion. I love the franchise too much to let it go.

This needs to be the last song I hear before I flatline...
Probably the most underrated game
My first playthrough was back in 2021
My close friend , he insisted that I should buy it
I didn't believe in that game, but I gave it a chance.
And right now i just finished my 3rd playthrough
Now i have 500 hours and all achievements
At first glance its seems like an ordinary story but give it some time and you will be impressed by its story , atmosphere , sound design , deep characters with their unfulfilled dreams
Endings that give u only a chance of V survival
All this is perfect described in the small quote of Mike Podsmith
"Cyberpunk isn't about saving humanity, it's about saving yourself"
Absolutely Masterpiece
Basically what the ending means is that despite all the hardship and pain and death he or she never found peace nor the embrace of life all was sought for nought and now the question is what to do with the few moments you have left so use it wisely my friend.
"The World lies at the end of The Fool's long and winding journey. Wiser and more world-weary than he started out, the Fool faces a moment of reckoning. Some of us accept where our journey has led us to, while others embark on a new challenge. One thing in this World is certain - you can't have it all."
Oof
i think of beauty i know
will never fade away...
They actually say “A thing of beauty”.
@@DARK_AMBIGUOUSi think of a thing 🙂
I'll do my duty, I know,
Somehow I'll find a way,
But a thing of beauty...
I would write 200 page book about corruption of this world while listening to this music
Do it!
Thank you for this one. It always feels heavy and very emotional to listen to. Gosh this game is stuck with me forever
We all come for 5:20 part.
The moment you play this type of music, you realize everything is for nothing...
Let it sink in.
I love it. Thank you for great mix
My first play through I didn’t know what was gonna happen in the endings, and I truly thought it was gonna end with V living on forever, I almost chose the Arasaka ending but ended up choosing Panam
I did too. That was my initial ending. Made me long for more. Every man needs a girl like panam. No bs. But she cares about you
I remember I played the game through as quickly as I could because I wanted the ending(I did not know you could change the outcome) so I just did the corpo ending and man I was sooo depressed I was like damn do I even exist anymore did I actually matter or did I just help arisaka. I replayed the game and met the raiders and I finally had a home so when I got the ending with panam I cried so hard because V is still gonna die but at least I died on my terms and with that I knew I had won.
How to rid off a guilt from The Devil Ending?
You can't.
@@MrSkillns that's what I was afraid to hear.
@@MrSkillns i will probably wont play it then just watch on youtube this is only ending that left.
You do don't fear the reaper too
(Dont read this if you haven't beat the other endings.) It was the best ending. Nobody that V loved got hurt or killed. V did what had to be done without sacrificing the lives of his friends to try and save himself. Although Johnny didn't like asking arosoka for help and thought you were weak, Johnny doesn't always know what's best. Now V can live out the rest of his/her days trying to find peace and enjoy what little time V has left with the friends he/she made a long the way. I think this was the true ending because it was left very open-ended. Johhny still speaks to you after the surgery, and since it's so open-ended, there is plenty of room for a DLC/sequel
The first time I played I hated Johnny because I skipped all his quests, and to make things worse I ended up getting this ending and refused to sign the contract.
This hit me soo hard, I felt awful and got super mad.
At first I though the game story was too shallow, but they really did a number on the player with this ending.
After I realized how much the game messed with me I started to feel very different about it.
Now with 300hrs total and on my third playthrough, it's slowly replacing Mass Effect 1 as my favorite game ever.
I just wanted to live....
Wonderful. And somehow reminds me of Horizon Zero Dawn ost.
Which one exactly?
@@Pumipimababababa A Resplendent Soil, on one of it's variations. Or I may be mistaken, because I played it a pretty long time ago.
Part after 2 minutes gave me a familiar vibe.
💔
Wait what ending is this? Oh god I shouldn’t have seen the comments…. I spoiled it for myself… 😨😨😨😨 I just wanted to listen to a good song….
I saved goro. I did the syicide run wth johnny. At the end he lft a message telling my v(male) to burn in hell.
Any of you chooms know, if there is a full version?
Never Fade away, tho it doesnt sound exactly what you think.
