Thank you for finding and showing this bunker. I never dreamed of seeing one. I studied this RADAR unit when I first became interested in the uses and history. One of the reasons I learned German and repaired radio sets for collectors. I am curious about all the yellow piping, thought it might be a hand rail but you don't drill and run it through a wall. Some one was doing something to the place plus you really have to wonder what is in the blocked off area, maybe some of the equipment was left. Thanks again and stay safe out there.

William Lovell I live close to a huge German radarstation, there’s a Wassermann Schwer site, which was later on in the war converted to a Klein Heidelberg radar. A few kilometers further there is a Wassermann MII site. If you ever plan to come to Holland I can show you around.

I would absolutely LOVE to go with you on these adventures! My family hails from Germany, my Great Grandfather having left Germany, with his family, my Grandmother was just 2-3 years old when they left, just a few years before WW2 broke out. Because of this, I have a real love for history, and WW2 history in specific. It's too bad you have to edit down the videos for CZcams length. I would love a full walk through of that bunker!

It seems like there would be more signs of equipment being in this bunker. Very unusual to see the ventilation pipes still hanging on the ceiling. That was some heavy duty steel used to hold that antenna up. Very impressive as to how far out it could reach.

Just incredible! I've never heard of the Germans having any such type of radar like that, though I am not surprised that they did. The engineering that went into that bunker was just awesome. I can't understand why anyone would have added that concrete brick wall inside the bunker. It was obviously added much later than the War. Any ideas? Regardless, it is just so fascinating.
