Former health MEC responsible for 9 Life Esidimeni tragedy victims

The Pretoria High Court found that the deaths of nine Life Esidimeni patients were caused by the negligent conduct of both former Gauteng Health, MEC Qedani Mahlangu, and the head of the mental health directorate, Makgabo Manamela.

We pray and hope our issue of unpaid services offered to the dept.of health will also be addressed. 3 years have gone by without pay, we have retire and are about to loose our homes. 25 years of hard work for nothing is not fair.

Yes, Mahlangu and Manamela, are criminally responsible, and must pay the price for the deaths. They must do jail time, and the Ministry of Health must pay compensation to the families of the victims. Mental health care in South Africa is a MESS.

It's quite clear that Manamela probably has her fingers in the pie of the private facility hence the move of the patients to the private facility approved by the MEC. They should take a look at her involvement or role at the private facility.. it's always self gain..
