- My cheap Audi R8 is ready for its first roadtrip! But first there's a few modifications and checks we need to do to the R8 V8. This is the first time my Girlfriend Hannah has driven my Audi R8 and it has a newely fitted @ARMYTRIX exhuast fitted to it which sounds insane! Something tells my the valve system will come in handy when on the roadtrip.

I'm not the brightest, I thought when Mat put the jugs under the car he was going to use them to hold up the car for a second.
Since you installed front splitter and side skirts, why don’t you get a diffuser too?

I`m a 75 year old bloke and love your energy and enthusiasm Matt and all without the need for "language" as is the case with so many others. I love the R8. Remember, class dresses down! Keep the roof box and the mounts they give it the look of a launch pad.
You need to wrap the roofbox in hearing aid beige!

Love the splitter, I went thru 3 splitters because I self tapped and tiger sealed my front splitters on, the 3rd time I bolted it on. Eventually it will come off if mines anything to go by. Best to bolt it on when you have more time

The R8 looks great with the new eh.. low stuff. But that ski-box looks thick and cheap, "family look", and it has the wrong angle which gives a lift on the Autobahn, I would throw it away. You should find a more sleek model and with real mountings. Suction cups on highway - prepare for disaster!
Btw, love your videos! Greetings from Norway, we who have tested it all, ski boxes with suction cups falling off on highways etc... :D

i would do the skirts spray paint but in clear gloss with tiny bit of black so you spray a clear with smoke effect, so the clear becomes darker and then it maybe match more with side panels,because you still see the carbon look on the skirts..same with front splitter....everything with carbon same clear "smoke" color...also some lightly smoke rear lights woulds make it look better
Great vid, tip don't put a wheel either side of speed bump, just one wheel in the highest point ,gives more clearance.
I'm loving that roof box! Almost a shame I have a practical estate car with roof bars and everything, because I'd rather have a daft sports car with one of those now!
The R8 needs a Wing more than I need Christmas.

beautiful car, love everything on there... dream car as a kid. Just not sold on the wrap choice, but its personal prefence and as long as you love it, don't change it!
Roof box works a treat. But Matt please put your front plate on and lose the front window tints, keep it legal. Not too sure in the splitter and side skirts? Id only go genuine carbon.
Mat, give your rear lights a quick polish, I can see scratchers and swirls. Nice and easy buff will make them lights pop out :)

The maxi stuff does look good i got the maxi front splitter and I have cracked it so many times,any slope or bump you need to think about,I even stopped going to certain petrol stations because I can't get down the slole without it cracking and bits falling off

My dream if I won the lottery is to tour the Alps in one of these, driving up the mountain roads to snowboard at loads of ski resorts along the way so I love the roof box.
Hearing aid hoodies the must buy this Christmas.......
All the add ons are superb...but self tappers will rip out at speed. Should have used nuts and bolts.
And the roof box....OK I guess now the R8 could double up as a hearse.

splitter and side skirts look good, but they should get wrapped gloss black. The „carbon effect“ makes it look super cheap in my opionion.

Was never a fan of the colour at first but I must confess with the wheels and calipers it is so distinctive, its definitely a grower and if you do turbocharge it- it will be a true beast.

Not a fan of the "carbon look" splitter and side skirts. I was in a similar dilemma with my Polo but ended up going with gloss black and I'm very happy with my choice 👌
