It's like they are telling a story of each member with the help of MV, webtoon, and additional shorts . Remember it's not their actual story or not connected with their personal life. It's just fiction created by bighit entertainment.

I’ve been ARMY for a year and I discovered the ongoing storyline on a fluke as I was watching through their MVs and started noticing flashes of scenes that came from previous MVs. I am currently reading the Save Me WEBTOON. I love it so much! I also discovered that there is a drama series of the storyline in the works right now and I am so, so excited for it! 💜💜💜
It's also very complicated and there are a lot of theories. But I finally found or somebody made the full movie of it.
@@UsagiKasanagi I'm not so thrilled about the drama. BTS created the entire story within their music, then film to go with it, and I don't want to see other guys' faces or attempts to be BTS. It's like a remake of a movie, the original is always best. Or a movie of Elvis' life, nobody will ever be Elvis.

This is old but gold masterpiece both the song and the MV. This is the start of the BTS Universe. If you want to continue, I suggest you follow the correct order to watch the MVs so you won’t be confused with the story line. Your comment on the MV is always on point! You are so smart and I think you will love to decipher and follow their story coz it will really challenge you.

I always tell people to start with BTS Begins & the Red Bullet Trailer. They're kind of like prequels since the story in them has now been told years later in The Notes. You'll need to search for a version with English subtitles if you don't speak Korean. Next it's optional to watch the Danger MV (Korean & Japanese versions) but it won't affect your understanding of the storyline if you don't since they're not officially BU.
The MVs don't need subs because the songs dont tell the story, the visuals do, but the extra videos have dialogue and will need subs. I will note when subs are needed.
You should watch videos in this order:
•BTS Live Trilogy Episode 1. BTS Begins (you will need to search for a version with English subs)
•BTS Live Trilogy Ep 2. Opening- also called The Red Bullet Trailer (The Opening VCR, NOT the teaser. It will start with a teacher yelling at students. You will need to find a version with English subs. It's on Dailymotion if you can't find it on CZcams)
•Danger (both Kor & Jpn versions, optional)
•I Need U 19+ version (The BU officially begins here. The 19+ rating is for drug use & violence but those scenes are integral to understanding the story- if you watch the original version you won't understand anything that happens in the rest of the BU.)
•HYYH On Stage: Prologue (you will need to find a version with English subs)
•Run
•I Need You (Japanese version)
•Run (Japanese version)

•I highly recommend finishing your BU storyline experience by reading the official BU storyline Webtoon called Save Me. Also, if you like video games BTS Universe Story has reenactments of the BU built into its gameplay.
As you can see, the BU extends out beyond the MVs to include short films, concert trailers, The Notes books, a Webtoon (Save Me), and a video game. There was even a temporary blog and Twitter account based on the Smeraldo flower (an Italian story whose theme runs through the Love Yourself trilogy). Every art piece, flower, color, and even words can be analyzed and mean something. For example, in Fake Love the giant sculpture they are dancing in front of is an interpretation of see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, and the words Save Me seen in the MV (and on one of the LY highlight reel teaser posters) are an ambigram that when turned upside down reads I'm Fine.
Many MVs starting with Blood Sweat and Tears, even including MVs that are not part of the BU, directly reference and use philosophy from great works of literature: Demian by Herman Hesse, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Into the Magic Shop by James Doty, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omela's by Ursula K Leguin, Jung's Map of the Soul by Murray Stein, the Italian story La Città di Smeraldo, and the book inspired by the Smeraldo legend, La Città di Smeraldo di Oz by L Frank Baum.
I suggest watching and making your own theories before watching ARMY-made theory videos. Then, I recommend XCeleste channel on CZcams since her original theories, before the Webtoon revealed most of it, turned out to be fairly accurate.
It gets very philosophical & very deep, all while telling an amazing story of love, friendship, and tragedy. Don't worry if you get confused. We all were/ are. Just have fun with it & enjoy the ride. 💜

They're portraying people with different life experiences who have the most beautiful moments of life together. There's a whole list of it.
Understanding BU story is so difficult... I almost took half an year to understand it and also played the game 😆

Story line!!! It is so exciting to see this again, no matter how many times I have seen these MV's. I can't help but laugh though about Jin lighting the flower petals. Once you get into the story line and see the making of the MV's you will know why it's funny.
This is all apart of the story line, once they separate when they were younger, its showing what their lives had become as individuals. It's a very interesting story line. I'm reading the book , it's hard to put down..so amazing

According to the BU it's about the loss of innocence, pivoting from childhood to seeing all the darkness life contains. This piece blows my mind because I can't get over how ballsy they are to put suicide/depression etc in their video considering a large part of their audience is under 20. I think it's brilliant and amazing.

The music video is the beginning of their Bangtan Universe storyline which tells the story of 7 fictional friends and their traumas and tragedies, but the lyrics and symbolism in the song and the MV can definitely be taken in isolation too and I think your interpretation snd analysis is great!

I love this song , I agree the acting is superb . Your interpretations where great, the first one about the music industry i havent heard before , and I have watched many reactors to this song. For me it was when they are together they are the happiest and when they are apart they are sad. Also all the other points like drug use, depression and domestic abuse , I believe they are saying you never walk alone, you can get through what ever it is you are going through. Oh an im sure its said already all the other individuals were crew members or managers qnd they used their own cars because they had no money, but just look what they can do with what little they had.

It's a MV, an artistic device , a story. I think sometimes a cigar is a cigar. Group of guys showing the truth in the lives of young kids facing some serious crappy lives w/ girlfriends that don't have a clue (b/c not told probably). So in the thick of it they are their friends& family. A bond beyond a girl & relationship stuff... A cigar.
This is the song that won them their very first award, and got them recognised for the first time in Korea. Or I guess the first time the Korean music industry went "oh, a group that's not from one of the big three can actually win something". They got so much hate from fans of other groups who were upset that a small group from a no name label won instead of their faves.

This marked the beginning of their transformation, and the "i need you, girl" was so heartfelt and effective on fans that they really heard "save us, we're about to give up." Suga said that if this song and the corresponding effort didn't make them, they'd have disbanded. It's a good thing the fans really heard them and voted for them in awards shows and bought the album.
