I can't explain why, but it is critical - CRITICAL - that you obtain test data from Mumbo as soon as possible.
You'll understand when you see it. Trust me.
Heard that there happens to be some interesting biological phenomena with Mr.Mumbo K. Jumbo.
I think by the help of DNA replication , Mr Mumbo K Jumbo has successfully modified his human genome with a potato gene , which is quite shocking to be honest.

I should probably warn you on the dangers of experimenting on Docm7.
Due to this difficult and long procedure Mumbo claims to have only 2 brain cells and still works in a perfectly normal way, which seems to be a bit gibberish to be quite honest.
Testing Iskall and Diorite with no flint and steel.
Test failed successfully: chamber destroyed, iskall on the loose, lots of valuable data gathered in the process.
Alternatively: pressuring Grian to make a working trap while being surrounded by ugly block palletes

I think it is needed to gather some informaition about the following hermits:
Bdubs
(Reason: he seems to always be dramatic)
Grian
(Reason: i think testing him with redstone would make some interesting results)
Scar
(Reason: he is scar)
Definitely, as well as Mumbo, I want to see how hard he can rub those two brain cells together.

Bdubs give him a room full of clocks and beds, tell him a he gets a better reward the longer he waits, instruct the hermits not to sleep and to ask for someone to sleep in chat. Record time until subject cracks

He actually could go longer! I just saw him in Tango's video NOT sleep until after phantoms spawned because they were all making a gas station "ad".

Flood The chamber and see how they react. (Could be one of the buttons)
give them blocks and ask them to represent their feelings in a build.
Insert animals into the chamber and analyze the reaction.
Give them note blocks and ask them to play a song for you.
Insert zombies into the test chamber and analyze their reaction.
and dont let Etho do the Noteblock one, if u arent up to be waiting for hours, until he is finished doing a masterpiece with it xD

If any hermit is reluctant to participate in the experiment, then just offer them cake. I've heard that cake is great motivation for test subjects.

It was interesting seeing actual psych at work. Like how he went from screaming about the lights being turned off, to cheering like that was a reward. I don't know the term for it, but I'm sure there is one.

Zedaph, you should make pure white maps, and put them on invisible item frames on the inside of the tinted glass. That way you have a one way mirror to observe your subjects with

As for what hermits i think they should all go through this , would be interesting to see what each one does,,, and knowing their back grounds throw so weird stuff to them they are not familiar with. btw i would like to see some comments from a actual therapist on this contraption. I know there has to be one out there that plays and watches the hermits. The MC crew comes in all shapes and sizes

The hardest one to get would probably be TFC
Look into Scar's mind, try and see how far the "travelling salesman" will go for something shiny. Might be fun

I love this direction of science you're taking. Hermits are a curious type of minecrafter. No one better than a hermit to test a hermit ^_^
Testing pairs of people could be interesting seeing how different hermits interact with each other.
Let some of the closest hermits (or the ones that work together the most at least) be in adjacent rooms with exactly the same materials. Then ask them to make something the way the other one would make it and let that one build it as well.
That's something that popped into my mind :P
Just put Joe and Cleo in a room together and see how long it takes the latter to kill the former

That joke was such a low hanging fruit that it was touching the ground...and neither of them thought of it until Zed had already said "alpha".

Mumbo
Iskall (involving diorite)
And one of the new hermits
Of the new hermits, he should test pearl, she’s notably more unhinged
Observation 3: I suppose it was inevitable. We were unable to observe this hidden chamber as it was constructed; it is natural to hide experimentation on peers, so cameras have been installed in both the chamber and in the observation/control area. As we will not interfere with the season's development, we will learn not only about the mind of subject Tango, but also the inner workings of Zedaph's analytical brain.
Subject Tango was initially panicked by the sudden darkness, but by the end of the experience seemed conditioned to it--even enjoying it. Perhaps because he knew it was a time that was free from prying eyes...
Tango also ended his virtual life to escape the chamber. He accepts death and doesn't fear it. Hmm.
Dare I say that I look forward to further experiments on various Hermits throughout the duration of the simulation? Perhaps I should keep such thoughts to myself.

I liked the "make a friend" test quite a lot, maybe tell them to try and sell you something, it would be interesting to see what they decide to sell, how to pitch it, and if they use imagination to make an item something else, or build something for you.

I think from these findings, Tango will avoid taking the easiest route.
During 'numbers' he listed numbers he didn't hear you say.
During 'hide' he created his own hiding place instead of those provided.
During friend he pushed for armorstand for a while.

I like how the beginning part to me was like "hey everyone, it's me *SCIENCE!!!* Zedaph"

neither of them will have a braincell, separately they have at least a few but together they somehow manage to have none
I hope at the end of all of this, all of the test subjects will have an opportunity to turn the tables and experiment back on you!

"Make a friend" test was best test and definitely needs to stay.
I also liked the 3 course meal. The word association test was actually a pretty good idea too, but it needs a little refinement... maybe just requiring a one word response from the subject.

@@sol_ARG the problem might arise that the Joehills difference is incredibly difficult and possibly impossible to capture in the form of written data. That is something we will only know if Zedaph performs this experiment

You are hilarious Zed. I'd love to see some testing done on the creative process that exists inside of Gem's brain, then compare the findings of a new hermit to an older hermit like X. Could also get Evil X involved to compare and contrast between good and evil.

When Zedaph said to make a friend Tango could have made a armour stand like he wanted to. One of the chest had wood. With the wood you could make a wooden pickax to mine some stone in the chest to get cobblestone and then make a furnace to smell some stone and then get smooth stone to make smooth stone slabs. Then with the rest of the wood make sticks and craft yourself an armour stand!

Seems like he just didn't want to bother / didn't realize he could get pickaxe/cobblestone/furnace, since at one point he says he needs a furnace and so he decides against it.

We *need* to see Etho in there. He's got a mix of down to earth as well as a lot of creativity and some subtle comedic undertones. I wanna see how he'll react to some absolutely absurd challenges.

I really hope Zed tests every Hermit. There is so much comedic gold to be extracted from the minds of the Hermits.

They are all brilliant in the face of random situations. I think testing every Hermit is a noble goal though.. For Science!
An idea for the hermit chamber: put white maps in item frames on the glass wall on the hermit side, then use the armor stand book to make the item frames invisible. That way you can see trough the glass, but the hermits just see a white wall.
Scar and Gem would be high on my list of hermits to be experimenting on :)

*Challenge:* Construct a chicken.
