    CZcams does not play High Quality audio, even on
    the highest video resolution. Audio formats - AAC (wrapped in an MP4
    container) or Opus in a WebM container. Maximum audio bitrate of around
    126 kbps. At a bitrate of 126 any frequencies above
    15khz (approx) are lost. so this is a waste of time.

  • @Inokiulus
    @Inokiulus Před 3 lety +2

    This is just a PSA: (Tl;dr Watch your volume guys please):
    If you can hear this, it should sound like a very high-pitched sine wave or a high-pitched computer-generated tone. 20,000 Hz is right at about where the ceiling of what the human ear is capable of hearing, but not EVERONE can hear frequencies that are this high. This really has nothing to do with age, although it can and does sometimes play a role in whether or not you can hear this sound or not. The average person in the world probably could never hear this frequency at ANY point in their lives and the same can probably be said about the lowest frequencies that humans are said to be capable of hearing (like 20 Hz). In other words, if you can hear this, the reason isn't necessarily JUST because you're young. It's more so because you simply have more sensitive hearing the way some have more sensitive touch, taste, sight, or smell. The way that age DOES sometimes play a role is that, IF you can hear this, you may or may not be able to hear it again once you are older.
    The best analogy that I can, honestly, give you for this is sight. Think of it this way. Some people need glasses while others don't. For some people, vision can get worse with age while for others it doesn't. And NO, this sound does NOT cause headaches just because it's a high frequency. It wouldn't hurt you any more than any other sound played at a more middle ground frequency, like say the note C that's at 261.63 Hz. But if that same 261.63 Hz note C was played at a high intensity (or volume), it could then cause damage. The same is true of THIS frequency at 20,000 Hz. It can cause damage at high intensities just like ANY other sound. This is especially dangerous if you could NOT hear it because you really wouldn't know that you were doing damage to yourself other than some pain that you may or may not even feel. So be careful and DON'T raise the volume of your listening devices to unsafe levels just to try and hear this thing because you couldn't hear it at what was a normally comfortable volume. If you couldn't hear it at a NORMAL volume, then you shouldn't be able to hear it at ANY volume.

  • @Sabyinne
    @Sabyinne Před 3 lety +9

    I couldn't audibly hear the tone, however, with volume at 60% with headphones, it was painful to my ears. Like they were getting a full filling, but painful. Needless to say 5 seconds was my max and I've got a serious headache now. Fascinating!!

    For me it starts at 4 seconds. I tried moving slider slowly to see if it was 3 or 4 or 4 deep towards 5. It is like just as 3rd second moves into 4th. So around second 4 of video I hear something like electricity in cables. And goes through whole videos. Although I am not sure how it can sound like that at 20k, were these not low frequencies that sound like this?

      OK I realized what happened... There is an option "Stable Volume" in player and it was enabled. I disabled it and I got super high pitched sound at same range from second 4. I was barely able to hear it but I did hear it.
