This is going to sound weird but I saw your flight paths on an app (I won’t say where) but it was kind of cool to see I love your videos and keep doing what you do best👍🏼👍🏼
Yy
Hey dude I apologized about my remark you could of lease excepted my apology:{
The Bonanza V-tail is an iconic plane, and, let's save the 310!!
From down in the south.
Jimmy your such a positive person and I’m sure a blast to be around so glad no one was hurt with the mishap. When you said a little pee came out I almost fell out of my chair laughing. When I worked for Grummans in St. Augustine, FL we had fun like you guys do and it brought back memories and I’m a little before Motley Crue also.
Hi Jimmy. Love your videos and thank you for posting. You always remind me that my addiction to power boats is relatively "budget friendly". I'm pretty sure my propellers cost less than yours. Stay safe buddy.
Glad to see your still alive. After seeing the aftermath I could only think about is when an F-14 had a deck strike on the USS. Harry S Truman about 20 years ago. I just happened to be on deck about 20 feet away and a lot of pee came out that day also. Stay safe .
You are definitely growing in popularity! I even saw Hoovie (Hoovies Garage) say " clear prop" on today's episode (MR2 in a tornado)!
That's awesome!!! I just saw it too!! @hooviesgarage too cool!
Currently watching this at the EAA museum in Oshkosh! Looking forward to seeing you and the 310!
We'll be there!
Jimmy. The best flying advice my Dad gave me was this; 'There are old pilots and bold pilots but very few old, bold pilots.' Be an old pilot, Jimmy. Don't take chances. Take every known precaution. If the brakes aren't working, don't rely just on chocks. Bind that airframe to the ground with cables. You avoided a disaster by pure 'God watching over you' luck.
PLEASE heed this advice and most importantly - MINDSET. Be careful dude! BE REALLY CAREFUL. I wouldn't want to fly an abandoned airplane because of all of the hidden "oh.... THAT" moments. So for you, your family, your viewers, and everyone underneath you: Please Be Careful. It's seriously very easy, as you just saw, to mess up on your own, now throw in a 40 year abandoned aircraft in reliability. I enjoy your content, Jimmy. Again... please be careful.
...tow strap and a truck tow hitch..... at least!!! I kept seein in MY HEAD the possibility of PROP CHOP right up that white cars side!!! sigh... glad it didn't happen but.... *I* HAVE SEEN THE KIND OF DAMAGE WALKIN PLANE DOES .... there are pics on the nets looks like WOLVEREEN just chopped fromthe top all the way down the side... sigh... poor plane just sittin there sleeping and CHOPCHOPCHOP clear prop didn't you hear me say CLEAR PROP YOU OLD PLANE!!! sigh... ;) well ummmm
on the flip side of this really good advice; without risk-takers and positive people especially in this field we would have got nowhere. Best regards, Al
@@bigal3940 I'm not talking about risk takers, Al, I'm talking about being safe in what you do. Making sure a plane can't move if your first and only method of keeping it in place fails is not about taking risks. It's about being responsible and having concern for others around you.
@@willamcombs1106 this!
The whole family loves your channel and can't wait for the next update. Hope to see Dr. Phil back in business soon as well.
Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the video!
I wish you all the luck in the world Jimmy. You and are your team are doing a brilliant job. Paddy from Ireland.
Hey jimmy love your channel! I’m a trucker and kills a lot of time when I’m sitting waiting to load or unload. Be careful and keep up the good work!
Being a trucker - not that different from being a pilot. Both are heavy equipment operators over that long expanse of three dimensional highway.
Another great video by another great youtuber! I get so excited when my notifications say Jimmy loaded a video 😁
Wow, thanks!
Awesome stuff, thank god no one was hurt in the little hiccup! Keep them cameras rolling!!!
Glad that the weather is good over there as it's freezing over here in Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
I'm meant to be flying cross country Monday but I don't think the weather is going to be very good.
But fly safe and hello from Australia 🇦🇺
Never a dull moment in Jimmy's World! Glad to know everything is OK. Except maybe your shorts.
Love the vids Jimmy! Might be time for some in-ground tie-down anchors in your driveway there! Glad everything is ok! 😀👍
Hi Jimmy, as an early 310 owner of long standing (36 years cumulative so far) I hearty recommend the Cleveland wheel and brake conversion, far more effective and reliable than the Bendix brakes which were original equipment. BTW, early 310s have some characteristics which are quite different from other twins, especially when compared to a docile plane like an Apache. I strongly recommend getting a thorough checkout in one with an instructor who has extensive early 310 experience. Please email me if you would like a few tips. Looking forward to seeing the new, improved 310!
Keep on the great content. Love it all. Can’t wait for the next upload already 👌🏻
Thank you! Will do!
I know that scared the crap out of you.im glad your okay and everything around you is okay. Your son takes awesome video and i see him following your foot steps. You done good
Another entertaining video. As one of many Sim Pilot's following your journey I'd like to know what grass airport that's in this video and the other airport where most of your planes are stored.
Thank-you
Thanks for the reply. Did the check ride you just did last week is that on CZcams. By the way appreciate you saying you didn’t pass the first time I think most of us can say that. Especially in that plane. Love your stuff
I knew you would be winning that foot race, great job. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
Thank you for your dedication to your viewers.
Great video showing telling and all most crashing , yes close call keep on flying jimmy do it to it great video see ya next time see ya bye.
Hey Jimmy,
Be extra careful with the landing gear fittings. Recently there has already been two "left" landing gear failures( one of those when I was flying) in South Africa... They both were C310-Q. All the best man.
Keep up with the work
Thanks for the info, good to know!
Basically what happened is when I came into landing that day and put the gear down I herd a pop and the gear cycled normally but the left main wouldn't lock on and gave gear unsafe light and gear warning. And while landing eventually the gear collapsed.
Luckily I was with my instructor so we were safe but the aircraft was damaged.
@@amospandey Did he teach you how to do a one wheel landing ?
So is your new company going to be aircraft salvage? You’re already doing it! Love the videos!
hahaha, I've got a good head start! lol
When I was in school a student jumped the chalks running up a Beaver with an R-985 radial engine. The student panicked and shut it down from high rpm by cutting the mags off. The sound of it backfiring to a stop was impressive, even though I was several hundred feet away inside a building.
Hope you are having a blessed day! Also hope you have a blessed and wonderful weekend!
Super happy that everyone is safe, just keep going, after all what could go wrong ??
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
It's Jimmy's World!!! why should anything go wrong???????🤷🏻♂️😎
Thanks for another great video Jimmy.
It was interesting and enjoyable for sure.
Wow. You were really lucky when those plastic chocks broke. Wow.
Almost had that glider wing and that car on the far side.
So glad it got stopped in time. Lesson learned. Throw the plastic away. Nothing like a good old wood chock.
Glad no one or nothing was hurt or damaged.
Looks like your list of things to replace or upgrade on the 310 is growing. Pushing hard for the air show date i know. Keep at it crew.
Trust the plane you are getting for a donor plane will work out. Kind of shaky flying it back??????????
Will that work????
You be careful jimmy.
Exciting video for sure.
Wow.
All for now I guess. You all take care and be safe.
Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks for everything Jimmy.
Retired Air Force veteran.
Steve.
Jimmy...I saw you sweating bullets there for a minute...I felt it to...glad no damage to anything or anyone....be safe...I'm a hang 5 glider guy
officials don't know what to do
That's why I bought heavy duty rubber chocks for semi trucks.. it my seem nice to have a light weight chock that you can pull out, but it will blow away or fall apart in a matter of time.
@TELEGRAM 👉Jimmy's World official
Really? That's awesomesauce! I love the progress and relentless drive to save the 310.. or it's just plane stupidity, who knows..lol
Good luck jimmy looking forward to seeing more videos, ever thought of auctioning off parts of Mighty mouse that are not going to be used to help fund the 310. Maybe a raffle of some sort just an idea.
We want more "will it start" videos! I think those are your best performing videos and they are what got me hooked on the channel!
Great work Sparkeys world keep up the great work
Jimmy, love the video's then I see you came to my town and went flying at my airport and then stayed at the Hampton Inn down the street from my house! How did you like Illinois? LOL That's rhetorical! It would be cool to know next time your up this way!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Love your Videos keep up the good work up Jimmy and if need a pilot to fly the plane down Oshkosh let me know because by the end of June I should have my Multi-Engine Certification
15:20 sounds like your gonna have to re-detail the inside of your shorts too!!
🤣🤣🤣👍🏻💪🏼
Glad everyone is safe!!!🙏🏻👍🏻
You guys are great man, I just love Jimmy and Gizzly.
Jimmy you are a hard working guy, hats off.
Brilliant episode jimmy’s world i absolutely loved it
You got the Scotland flag up. Well done my man. Good going on the 310. Looking forward to seeing you get out there and fly the other one back
BIG J. YOU ARE AWESOME BROTHER. YOU DO WHAT YOU CAN THE BEST YOU CAN. GOD BLESS.
Way to go Jimmy! Congrats on you multi! Good luck and keep the videos coming. CLEAR PROP!
Red
Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the video!
Question - are you going to do the exhaust STC to reroute to the bottom? I think it's well worth it. I had it on my 310C. Saved all kinds of headache with spar corrosion. Thanks for posting all the videos. It's a lot of fun to watch!
I enjoy your content Jimmy. Stand back everyone and Clear Prop.
Clear Prop!
@10:04 - 2 gallons of fuel in each tank. That is now the most expensive part on the airplane.
hahahaha, the sad sad truth.... hahahaha
I found your channel not too long ago, I don't even like airplanes, but I love your sense of humor. Then I realized I'd seen you before but it just didn't register at the time.
Until the first of June, I recognized you at church. Isn't your name James? lol
yes sir, that's me :)
it's okay, I'm sure you'll make this plane perfect, or we'll find another abandoned plane for you
hahahaha, exactly!
Kudri, gde ty propal? Video kokda budet?
Hopefully the newer abandoned plane won't have ants in it. 😂
@@therealjimmysworld It's no longer save the 310, it's now save a 310.
@@williamwilliams8145 Any plane saved for a future generation to enjoy is a winner.
Cant wait to see this thing flying! Keep it up!
You and me both!
You have the best aviation videos on the webb in my opinion.
I am glad no one, nor property, was injured or damaged, but the level of incompetence shown in this one video is astounding. A 2x4 board does not constitute a chock. Cheap plastic chocks are also inappropriate for an aircraft of this size and power. Then there is the admitted fact that the brakes do not work. For a supposed certificated aircraft mechanic to allow a run-up to take place in this manner is inexcusable. I just hope no one dies in this little adventure of yours.
A Good Name for Plane is " Dream Chaser" cause that is what you're doing is Chasing Your Dreams. You give everyone hope Jimmy. You Teach viewers no what your Dream May Be you can do it. It takes alot of Hard Work but it can be accomplished. That's what I love about your Channel. I Love seeing the child come out in you when a Plane gets you really excited. You're just awesome. May God Bless You and Your Beautiful Family and Your Viewers. We appreciate what you do Jimmy. And God Bless your Helpers. They are Pretty Cool also
I can NOT wait to see your up coming videos omg
good stuff jimmy and OMG the plastic wheel chocks braking that could of been a whole lot worst ... BUT A BIG THUMBS UP 👍
I am no longer frustrated at having to spend money on a couple of lawn tractors so I can guarantee them knowing I'll get low balled anyways. Thanks for brightening my day Jimmy from the Live Free or Die state.
Oooo Oooo I’m back in JIMMY’S WORLD! Just starting to watch the video. Hope I can hold my breath till the end!
it was sketchy... not a fun thing I ever want to repeat....
@@therealjimmysworld I just watched your debacle. Oh my. I’m and old guy in Arizona and when I saw what happened my Apple Watch alerted on my heartbeat! I am so glad no one was hurt and no airplanes were injured during the filming of this video. 😳
OMG!, Jimmy, I'm so happy that God had you on that one!
Wow! Engine turns in such a confined space? Installing some pad eyes might be a good idea. At least some large wooden chalk's.
Love your channel! Do you own the other airplanes in that hanger?
Cool to watch all your videos and the 310 progress.
More to come!
Scary! Glad you were safe!
@@therealjimmysworld Glad you got that one on the first take so that you didn't have to do it over and over to finally get a take that you could upload. Keep this one for your Halloween episode. 😀😃😄😁😆😅 🤣😂😉😉
The telegram reply is apparently fake. Checked with Jimmy. Avoid these, I guess.
Let’s go ! Can’t wait to see the final rendition!
It's going to be fantastic!
Keep up the fantastic work Jimmy, side note please don’t let our UK Union Jack get more frayed at the bottom, we can see it starting to fall apart.
Awesome to see the team back at work on mighty mouse. Could you put the same paint job on the new 310?
We are going to need people like Jimmy to rebuild this world when the dust settles.
count your blessing no one hurt damage sure ..careful Jimmy
You guys who are going to fly your new 310's to Oshkosh this year take one step forward. Cool your heels, Jimmy.
Hey Jimmy, these old wires are making funny colors in you next campfire.. Don’t throw away next time 😉
yeah that had to be a terrifying handful of seconds for a lot of different reasons, glad it turned out okay!
#getthe310!! 😂 best of luck to you And the crew jimmy.
Thanks so much!
That 310 is a troublesome PoS….amazing you are still persisting with it
You know there is something called a concrete anchor that you can bolt a shackle to in order to attach a heavy cable or chain to the tail fuselage, never rely on chocks.
5:54 Jimmy should have said this isn't Lost Lands 🤣🤣🤣 I gotcha buddy, it's called headbanging
Let's go! Get excited everytime an upload comes! Keep that great content flowing!!!!!
Thanks so much!
That is cool I like the idea of saving the 310 I like the graphics on the tail. Yeah sometimes it can be a pain to put new gaskets on valve covers but you will get er done. It saves a lot of presious exspensive oil! LOL😃
The larger diameter plugs are Hi altitude spark plugs. The distributor in the mag is also a larger diameter. With Hi altitude, less pressure, easier for the spark to jump a larger gap.
I'm now praying for REVEREND JIMMY. May the Airworthiness Gawds bless you.
Awesome video Jimmy.
I can’t find the last episode where you got the Apache check out. Got dad hooked on the CZcams now he’s ex navy then 45 plus commercial . The Apache was my first twin that I flew.
When you opened up with "good news" it reminded me of the professor from Futurama.
I love these videos and your enthusiasm but I'm calling it here and now and I'm saying it's not going to Oshkosh. There is just so much that needs doing. Although I respect you guys I just can't believe it will be done. I hope you do and want nothing more than to be proved wrong but there are many parts and any one can hold you up. Good luck.
I wish you the best but can’t help but remember that SNF was only about a 7 mi trip and OSH is just a tad further. Be safe.
What could possibly go wrong... lol
Good job Jimmy, Save The 310.
We get so immersed in the story that we forget to compliment the cinematography. Good job whoever is behind the camera.
Love your videos! Funny and educational. I was flying my mom on a short flight to look at a airplane yesterday. Long story short, there was a landing malfunction and we slid hard left with no right rudder control. I’m completely sick to my stomach about it. We are fine but sore. I’m just waiting to hear back how much it will cost to fix… and what the insurance says. I pray it can be fixed. The major damage was the prop and front nose. 😭Anyway, I’m still looking for a bigger plane anyway, just not how I thought this would happen. At least your videos make laugh. 😅
oh man!!! glad you're okay! What happened?
@@therealjimmysworld I had a good approach and center line as I was letting her settle ( it’s a Piper Cherokee 150) on the runway. When the wheels touched down there was a sharp left with no right rudder. I had to brace for sliding off the runway into a dip or ditch ( which made it worse) that part hurt a little. Lol. But either the there was a rudder malfunction or some says my front tire could have tilted left with some bolts that were loose. I’m driving back out to airport to get the rest of my stuff out… until I hear about insurance and if she can be repaired for my hull value. It completely stinks. But Whatever happens I trust Gods plan. Every happens for a reason. 😊
So sorry to hear that. Glad you guys were ok. At least it happened on the ground and your rudder didn’t get jammed in flight.
Although airplanes aren’t the easiest to fix or replace. They are still easier to fix and replace than humans. Blue sky’s and tail winds. Best of luck with finding a new plane.
@@tnflygirl Glad you ok👊🏻👍🏻
@@allanrichts7620 yes but a little sore lol. Nothing that bad that’s not keeping me back from flying a rented plane on Tuesday. The Dakota. Can’t wait to fly my dad in a high performance plane for the first time ✈️
Thank you for the video.
If that’s a new differential compression gauge (car one) it may have a schrader valve in the tip you need to remove .. I had similar problem here in uk ..
All love, brother.
Carfull Jimmy , the cost of underwear will sink your budget.... lol
Never point an aircraft at something you like when starting it.
Just re subbed. Thank you for keeping your word. #SAVE THE 310
Jim !!!! Brother ya gave me a heart attack !!!!! Lol 😂 Then I watched it….. that was way to close man ….
great job buddy. God bless
I flew 310MM (310Mickey Mouse) onec back in the day. Mid 70 I think, It was almost junk then. Nice to see it again even it its just a glimps.
Well done testing those chocks properly
Hello Jimmy. Watching from Erie, PA. Love the channel even though I'm a car guy. Also a huge Monte Python fan! Love your sense of humor!!!
Right on!
Old English expression for times when **** hits the fan. "First you SAY it... then you DO it!!"
Old ARMY expression. 'CLOSE... only counts in Horsehoes... and hand grenades!!'
Glad you and the 310 didn't get bent! =)
Let's consider the additional actions that could be taken here. With a Pilon, this would make a great weather vane above the hangar wit a large sign saying "HERE WE SAVE 310'S" and' Donations begged and Expected'
Greatest thing on the CZcams!
Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the video!
Hay ya Jimmy you're gonna need to go to the nearest truck stop and get several of the big hard rubber truck chocks and make up some new sets of airplane chocks!!!!
Loving the steel toe-cap sandals.
