    VIDEO INTRODUCTION:
    Hi everybody,
The Indian ocean is by far one of the most important regions in the geopolitics of the world! And its been significant not in the 21st century but ever since the 13th century! Infact, an historian Alfred Mahan, once said whoever conquers the Indian Ocean will dominate the whole of Asia.
And now the geopolitical war in the Indian ocean has been heating up in 2023!
And this time, its because of a small island country that we all know as Maldives! On October 4th, 2023, the election results of Maldives was announced! And the moment the new president comes to power! It was bad news for India! Because as soon as he came to power, he asked the Indian military forces to withdraw from Maldives! And guess who is happy because of this! China!
Now if you look at Maldives its a very very small country! Its just 298 sqkm in area which is half the size of Mumbai! So some people might ask! Dude India and China are such mammoth countries, why would they give a fish about Maldives! Well as it turns out Maldives is located at by far one of the most important points in the geopolitics of the world!
Because considering the Russia-ukraine war, the Arab-israeli tension and the China Taiwan tension these geopolitical points have become more important to defend than ever!
And it is so important that, even though Maldives has a GDP of just 5.4 billion dollars, India has given a 100 Million dollar loan to Maldives! At the same time, China has been building, roads bridges and even hospitals for Maldives along with a 1.5 billion dollar loan!
    So the question is,
What is so special about Maldives that is being coddled by 2 giant economic powers of Asia?
Why is the location of Maldives such an important point in the geopolitics of the world?
What has this new president brought to the table?
And most importantly, now that India is being asked to leave Maldives how does it make us weak in front of China? #lakshwadeep #maldives #maldivesvsIndia

But China does not see India as an economic challenge at least in our lifetime. I read and watch the news media in both countries. There is hardly any coverage in the news media about India in China and the border conflict is not widely reported. The ordinary folks only know about economic challenges China faces from the West and here sentiments can run high. Most in fact believe that a richer India means more business for both countries. Another thing I need to highlight Indian politicians sleep till Chinese go there. Once Chinese start pumping in money Indian politicians cry 😢. And these small countries enjoy money from both the countries.

Also, the 9 degree channel passes between Lakshadweep islands...Maldives is at 8 degrees North...IAF can impose a blockade on the above 2 channels or SLOCs to keep the Chinese subs or vessels out, as the supply lines are always there from mainland India incase of an Indo-China war or a misadventure...

If they continue to deny entry to our soldiers, we should consider implementing restrictions on tourism to the Maldives. By doing so, we can exert pressure on the Maldives government, particularly since Indian tourists are a significant part of their tourism industry.👊🏼👊🏼

Sri Lankan case was a mismanagement of funds by their leaders due to corruption and frankly they haven't lost infrastrucuture...Just the port was leased back to the Chinese for 99 years. .. They were more hit by the COVID wave as the country shut down movements of people to protect its citizens from the influenza.. As a result they got out better from COVID having lost less than 10000 lives but with a severe economic penalty due to the inactive businesses and lost tourism. On the other hands in India people were dying like dogs on the streets making headlines in the world and ranked among the top 3 in the number of deaths.. Chinese infrastructure projects will surely be useful when they recover (and they have almost) and that's why Maldives is going after China too.. (hopefully with better fund management).. The 'Chinese debt trap' concept was created by Americans and broadcasted by prostitute Indian media just to deter the Chinese engagement.. Most countries are either aligning with US or China or Japan because those are highly developed countries with cash, technology, skills and corporate network which really can benefit the countries unlike India which is also a dependent country and not a leading country.. For example the port city in Colombo is a futuristic one with state of the art infrastructure which investors are eying to grab in the near future when the world recovers from recession.. I am Singaporean and my company also visited Colombo to invest in the port city. If I were you, rather than wining, I would have made a deal with Chinese, Japanese everyone to grow together.. Sri Lanka owes around $50 billion to Western and Japanese banks, roughly 90% of its overall debt.
Recent loans came with green rules that forced it to reduce the use of fertilizers which reduced its food production. This caused it to have an economic meltdown that drove it further into debt.
China gave Sri Lanka $5 billion to modernize and expand its port facilities. Sri Lanka used $3 billion to partially complete the work because it was forced to use $2 billion of China's money to pay the interest on their non Chinese debt.
China went ahead and completed the work anyways.
So now thanks to China Sri Lanka has modern port facilities which will help it economically.
Whereas western loans came with rules which only drove it further into their debt trap.
The EUs Borrell was put in his place in Uganda. He complained it was doing too much business with China.
His host informed him that he landed in an airport, drove on a road to and is speaking in a venue that were all built by China and that when China comes they get a hospital, when the west comes they get a lecture.
Around 15% of Africa's debt is to China and for it they got far more infrastructure, schools and hospitals in a decade than they did from the west in centuries.
The wests economic colonialism simply saddled African countries with a massive debt and conditions which hinder their ability to get out of it.
Face it all they got for that %85 is western installed puppet governments, coups, civil wars, demands, lectures, threats and lots of poverty.

Guess what Maldives economy is heavy dependent on tourism and India being the top tourist country for them and china accounting for less then 6% of tourist. If India with help of US and other countries just imposed a 50-100% tax on Maldives package it's game over for them 😂.
    Let's just chill 😎

Indian foreign policy and diplomacy is going down the hill. By abstaining from UN resolution on Gaza, India played as a supporting actor to America only to counter China. Our foreign minister himself said India can't pick up a fight with larger economy China.India is getting lonely in the global south region due to this . Now India doesn't have spine to stand on it's own or even have confidence in it's military or diplomatic capabilities for taking on China.

Bro, I always love your videos and explanations... but, at the end, you give some suggestions on how our Bharath can react to this situation... so I will be happy that we have some options.

Indian Tourist have huge share in their tourist based economy... A little sabotage on their desalination plants and shadow ban by Indian Government on movement of Indian to Maldives will do the trick for us...
We must make them realise what we can actually do to them if we want to otherwise these small fries will keep jumping longer than they should...

Instead of stopping China from building its dominance in the Maldives, I would also want to know where India has had success or strategically making its presence to dominate limiting China.
