- This is my book review of Jailbreaking the Goddess by Lasara Firefox Allen. It has been an amazing and eye-opening experience and read, and I definitely encourage you to give it a read yourself. I just found this review and I was blown away by both the review and your bravery in sharing your experiences. Already ordered, but I wanted to thank you for your honesty and perception. I have struggled with connecting to the divine feminine and the linear concept of the mother/maiden/crone. I'm new on this journey, so this is an eye opener which can change the way I approach everything. Thank you.

I've mentioned before to some who feel left out of "Mother", you have animals, you're a Mother, you adopt, you're a Mother, you take care of others (elderly, babysitting) you're a Mother.
Though I agree, it's outdated, no one should be made to feel left out.
Also don't sell yourself short, you did a wonderful job talking about this amazing book :)

Hi ! I really love this book also. However I do not agree that woman are the most repressed inside patriarchy. As a male, try to be feminine in any way and you meet with hostility from both men and woman alike. Be very carefull with saying that only woman are repressed. The men at this moment have missed the emancipation. And e"MAN"cipation (its already in the word!), its "masculinity" in woman that has become more respected by sociaty at large. But not with men ..."femininity" in men is generally not accepted nor is it loved. Saying that only woman are repressed you really miss an important part of the way the Goddess could really transform sociaty (in my opinion!).
the feminine way and femininity have not emancipated. Thats why female behavior in men is looked down upon. And thats why we still live in a patriarchy. Masculinity is valied over femininity.
