    Interesting. Analog tuner, no digital tuning or tuning readout. Interesting features. Speakers apparently sound MUCH better than older compact all-in-one-units I have seen from Emerson and other makes.

      A month later - I still like it. My only complant is that it is easy to knock the radio dial off it's station. I just have to be careful with my clumbsy hands. Sound is great for me.

      @LittleBrownToast I have it on my coffee table and listen to my morning radio show as I get ready for work. Today, I just threw away my Walkmans that I haven't used in years because I have this player. And the cassette option is great for the self help courses I bought years ago in the 90s. The small size makes it not obtrusive and easy to move around.

    Amazing device, thank you very much for your review, it was very thorough. I have a couple questions, though. Is the tape head mono or stereo? Does it use a permanent magnet?

    Thought you might have the tape upside down, if I remember about tapes the little metal piece in bottom of tape player was the reader but its been ages since I have seen a tape ;)

    • @hamrad88
      @hamrad88  Před 3 lety

      The tape that had something on it played fine and it was inserted in the same direction. As I recall. The metal piece in the bottom is just a tab that pushes the tape up against the read/record heads at the top. Thanks

      @@hamrad88 Yeah its been so long since I have seen a cassette much less used one, it is missing the other bits on the bottom after looking into it a bit more, just saw the metal bit and thought it was the read head but it should have an erase head and a roller bob as well if it was upside down.

    I know these names aren’t very straightforward. I use TEK as an accent. /re TEK us/. I’ve seen other companies bring back cassette format, so this doesn’t surprise me. The CD seems like it’s on it’s way out because of these trans flash cards. Seems like almost anything can be recorded on these USB and TF cards. I really don’t know about the audio quality or frequency response on these small USB cards though. Always love to watch your channel when I can.
