Enlisted is honestly so much worse than war thunder in terms of matchmaking balancing. You could have some poor lvl 1 bastard getting their ass reamed by experienced players at low br, sure. But it would be like allowing someone in an STRV-122B+ to fight reserve vehicles in credited rounds. I straight up quit enlisted after only a couple rounds, as it was a seal clubbing hell where players who had all the stronger high rank gear and vehicles unlocked would win.
Gaijin games are fun but the grind and monetization mechanics suck. I rarely play video games lately but playing war thunder just to play it is a lot of fun for a few hours
@@waterdotzable for me its a nightmare to grind even with premium acc. And wgen i play arcade to have more fun my bombs detonate after 10 years (fuse is set to 0s in the hangar) but the enemy bomb how it barley touches the ground it goes boom
havnt played since the research tree change and found myself using m1 garands, m8 scotts and flame throwers against mg42s, mp40s and tiger 2s, well done gaijin
Same I uninstalled after that first strange match of that update. They had a half decent game going and it was for the most part historical and now it's been gaijan'd into some infantry war thunder clone that's somehow worse, I mean it's one thing before the update were you had to use the weapon orders to even buy a new gun or grenade to give to one soldier that you then had to upgrade aswell an so they add a silver an gold currency system very similar to war thunder, like there wasn't enough grinding to do in the game originally.

I had the exact same experience and I started playing in late 2022, about a year before the merge. The only difference is that now there are Tiger II’s, but if you’re in a BR-III tank a Tiger I and II might as well be the same thing
Premium account doesn't help with Silver gain at all. I have everything unlocked except a single jp plane and yet i don't have silver to buy them, upgrading them after buying is just a pipe dream. We shouldn't be paying to unlock god damn vehicles and weapons. In past they were free after unlocking them it's sad that they warthunderified it.
@@Pandacorps Premium just let you get quicker to the point where you will finally notice that economy is completely broken and you can't afford anything. You will have millions of banked xp but not enough silver to buy those tanks/weapons and upgrade them even with mandatory -40% discount
I used to play War Thunder But With Infantry a few years ago and knowing Gaijin very well from 7 years of playing WT, nothing in this video suprises me. Because they are literally the same game. One with infantry, one without. They get the same treatment. I don't know how it is now, but Enlisted had much worse problem with premium buyers since you could bring extra vehicles and have literal P2W squads
enlisted was fun but the grind ruined it for many players . i used to play it a lot had 300 hours which felt way longer somehow. Matchs were fun trying to get an upperhand on the enemy even when you were outclassed unless you had stock rifles .
With the Silver currency part of the vid, the devs made an announcement literally as I was uploading the video onto youtube, that they are on course to fixing the economy, however it is unsertain what direction they will take the overhaul.
Removing the campaign based map grouping was a mistake but the balance issue has been a thing since then. I stopped playing because I got bored and work got busy. I tried coming back and it was pick a campaign match set where one side was just curb stomping the other, doesn't matter which its an all around issue now. It was stuff like half your team is wiped by one guy with a rocket payload and most of the guys he just got were the newer players who are stuggling to get out of spawn areas. Or you are just trying to vibe and have fun and getting people angry at you because you arent wiping the whole enemy team in a vehicle (I got best vehicle squad for the match but had two guys still being toxic because I was doing "nothing"). I uninstalled a while ago. I poke around videos to see if any thing has improved but this kinda lookes like it just keeps getting worse and more toxic.

The thing that I said would kill the game for me was how the merge actually worked once it released, and I was sadly right. I hate being blocked out of half the maps because of the br system. The br queue system is also something that’s been complained about since the test servers and the devs have ignored the complaints about it for the most part. I went from playing enlisted 4-8 hours daily to playing it once every 2-3 weeks to see if anything I dislike about it has been changed. Super unfortunate that a game I enjoyed so much fell so hard. The merge was suppose to save the game but I think all it did was make playing it more of a chore.
true I used to be able to get the event squads n after merge I couldn't ...gaijin said "people enjoy the game?!...we need to stop that right now!" lol.
That's why i love this game, most of the time the sherman is fine but sometime you face a real challenge like a panther and you must be smarter than him... Infantry is scarier anyway
Half the issues sound like stuff we either had dealt with or are still dealing with in war thunder. Poor balancing, up/down tiering making certain vehicles way too weak/strong, overly restfictive currency rewards. And the necessary bugs and glitches. At least the currency aspect has been fixed. Still too slow for some, but making consisten positive even when not going 8/0 is already a major step up from how it used to work. Premium being a boost and not a requirement to actually get anywhere also helped drastically. While still having premium be enough of a boost that if you get into the game enough it's genuinely worth considering.
Yeah, enlisted is no longer fun but theyre still are people saying it was a good update, yeah, it's better to mock veterant/old player than listent to them Now every game higher thant br3 is fill whit asault sqad, mg squad or paratrooper their is no longer any rifle squad or enginer and i will not tamk about camping tank and the spaming of plane (Ps i was a german main and was only playing in berlin cause that was the only campaigne where i found it fair when you werent figthing new russian player in berlin)
I don't like how they removed campaigns. It was very fun to play with early war tanks and plains They should add more vehicles per match. 3 tanks and 2 planes. And even more.
this might work, if they expanded the playable zone for both teams, as more tanks means more greyzone campers, which is pretty hard to avoid even if they expanded the playable area. this would also probably lead to players just leaving the game because of 3 tiger 2s camping 300 meters away, or HVAR spam. good Idea in theory but might not be the best in practice. Thats what heppened with BR 3. It was a good Idea on paper to have a BR that could access low and high matches but in practice its almost unplayable.
I can see that enlisted has problems but it's still one of my favorite online games, hell i play almost everyday. Luckly for me i have grinded most of german, Usa and Ussr trees before the merge and sit at minimum 500000 silver so i can do what i want in this game. One of my favorite things i got by playing are event squads, sure events can be annoying but having let's say 25 shot gewer is hilarious.

After the merge update i stoped enlisted the silver gain is so bad that i can no longer get anything the grind is worse and they keep locking content on pay walls (like Apcs) and its 20$ on steam there is nothing good on this game
I stopped playing Enlisted after the Br system and the HUD update , you can't choose the campaign anymore + it's ugly , The Nation tree system is just bullshit.
My biggest problem post merge is that late war weapons became untouchable to me. Yes, it's very much a skill issue, but as a casual, I just can't have fun past BR III. Pre-merge I mained germany, because I really like the Hugo Boss drip and their weapons but now it feels like hell. If I go into a BR III+ match I either get assblasted by sweaty russians with timetraveling AK or an american paratrooper makes swiss cheese out of me with 100 round thompson.
BR 5 is a nightmare, BR is a toss of the coin, either you Yeet or get Yeeted on. Whoever thought this BR system would work should be fired immediately. Game was fun when we could pick campaigns.
You say enlisted is not like cod but that is actually what my first impression was from the game. "It's like cod but with vehicles and bots that follow you around as back-up lives" is what I would tell others if they asked what enlisted was like. I played Moscow campaign as the Germans until I unlocked my first MG team and then I got bored and moved on. Haven't touched the game since.
What annoys me most about the BR system as it stands that it really restricts how effective somewhat historical squads are. Like take german infantry squads for example. How id like to run it the most would be a couple of K98s, one MP40 and one MG42. The result is a BR5 squad where most of my squad is way less effective than it should be, opposed to what they should do and average out the BR among the squad members (so the one i described would probadly be BR3) Also the maps annoy me.. I used to basically only play tunisia as i dont like urban maps. Last i played it felt like i was only being send to urban maps
The "free to play" concept is broken. It's just not free at all. I suffered Warthunder and WoW's for too long and they're the same basic model. You might be actually play the game for free, but to do any good, not die from the interminable grind, or even manage to enjoy the game, reduce the frustration, you have to spend money. And that in itself is OK, they have a right to make some money, and to pay the staff, it's the obscene amounts they rip you off that's the problem. In WT, one single digital representation of a vehicle, a bunch of pixels often copied from an already existing model can cost twice as much (in real money) as two complete "AAA" games. BR is also an issue in WT, both in "power creep" and their practice of deliberately adding new vehicles at obviously too low a BR, in order to feed the "FoMo" (Fear of missing out) of the player base, encouraging players to avoid the extra grind and just pay money. As soon as I saw that Gaijin was the publisher of Enlisted, I said "no thanks" and never even tried it. Your comments on BR, Balance and Maps are just like somebody talking about WT.. so my decision seems valid.
I liked the merge because it meant I wouldn't need to grind 3 different campaigns all over again, but the rest of the game still has the same issues of getting seal clubbed, planes that are basically impossible to kill, and Tiger IIs(and now Ho-Ris) that can lolpen basically everything the americans might have until the T26E1-1 arrives
Lo digo en español por que puedo hacerlo, juego también enlisted, tengo mi economía resuelta, mis plantillas hechas, a mis soldados con minas AP, paracaidistas, vehículos AA de Alemania y Rusia, y br 4 en la mayoría de naciones, opino. Opino que el progreso es horrible y cuando quise invitar a amigos, estos tenían traumas con el progreso de war thunder y no quisieron tocarlo ni de broma, tier 3 debería enfrentar a tier 2 y 4 solamente o funcionar a parte, por que en tier 5 no sirven ni de distracción, Alemania tiene demasiados panzer 3 y 4, el mejor stug es premiun, y por lo general este juego tiene un modelo de negocio pensado para niños con tiempo libre infinito y padres rico, pero lo juegan adultos con trabajo y poco tiempo para sí mismos, después de todo es un simulador bélico con especial énfasis en las armas, la balística y la contextualización histórica, pero más que nada en las armas, este juego hace las mejores armas, según yo, este juego tiene las escopetas más realistas de los videojuegos. Y los tanques y aviones son ciertamente la mejor parte, en este sentido enlisted no tiene competencia. those are the real big problems as i thought as an 4 years player,it is really a good game but only old players like me can sometimes have fun ,but sadly i played USA for a very long time and most of time are suffered before. So now i only play BR3 to have fun .But i think this will change so i have to play BR2 to have fun and have retire feeling. BR4,5 just let me feel tired .
As someone who has played this game for a year and a half the issue with the game is very simple, actually 5 problems that if fixed would save the game: 1-Fix the BR system or find a way to bring campaigns back 2-fix Bugs (weapons dont mount properly, cant fire projectiles out of windows in doors, 3-Focus HEAVILY on A.I because the bots are garbage 4-Let players pick game modes 5-Fix the wonky pricing of equipment If they did this, the game would easily be much more fun, because right now it feels like the player base fell off a cliff and the grind is unbearable.
The low rewards, unbalanced BRs and uptiers, losing streaks, inability to pick maps, are all DELIBERATE design decisions to monetise frustration. They won’t be fixed because they’re not flaws. They want you to pay money to skip the grind. And like gambling, loosing streaks only result in addicted players trying ‘one more match’ to get a win. I had a 27 game loss streak in WT once. It’s by design. If you value your sanity, don’t play anything associated with Gaijin.
I don't even care progressing through the tech tree, I'm having enough fun on the ranks I'm in.. but I was lucky enough to play before most of this stuff was added so i have a few late tier items like the panzer 4 which is good enough for me.
Most points seem pretty good here. One thing I disagree with is germans being able to choose eastern vs western front. I am pretty sure it would make matchmaking even worse, as atm the matchmaker can balance the german teams around the american and soviet teams, which wouldn't work as well if people can limit that. If for example german teams would prever the eastern front then american teams might end up with a lot of bot matches again, as I don't think there's a lot of people playing the japanese compared to the other factions and playing on a map you don't prefer is way better than playing against mindless bots imo. The differences in which side is winning is often probably more based on which faction is currently played by a lot of people, rather than equipment I think, regarding the balance between factions point. Yes they are somewhat connected, but I think fun new toys are more relevant than pure power of a faction here. Interestingly I have a very different BR III experience than you atm. Even when uptiered I tend to do really well. Not as well as when down tiered, but atm my biggest problem there is not knowing the maps that well yet (Only been playing up to BR III since the update for now and used to play only moscow), rather than the eqiupment. Tho I find you don't face BR V to often. I haven't seen a single BR V tank in my pz 4 yet for example. I think I still prefer the BR +-1 idea, where the server chooses a BR for a match and tries to fill with people from that BR and can use at most 1 higher or lower in BR to fill the remaining slots. Tho your idea sounds very reasonable too and would prolly work well.

Would be nice if you can choose between historically accurate battles or not, i sometimes feel bored facing the same faction again and again, like war thunder simulator battles. But, if they did that, there will be a lesser reason to grind other factions and they may lose their uniqueness of facing a certain faction on certain maps.
I played for like two months and stopped completely thereafter. I didn’t like the gun and run system of this. I neither like the realistic milsims like HLL or PS. I want something that’s like both. You get to have fun but you also need to involve yourself into the game in tactics and strategy.
Honestly this game is nowhere near a mil sims nor requires anything special tactic wise, basically if you push the objective you win, if your team stays back sniping you lose xD
@@InTVS and the most stupidest part is about the BOTS. Well if you had to play BOTS then BIA-Hell’s Highway was way better than this. They could have integrated that kind of squad control into Enlisted but no they had to go the most stupidest way ever😂😂
Has anyone even heard of easy red 2 it's a solo Dev project to me it looks like an older 360 version of enlisted or something point is that game imo has better ai bots functions when it's set to realistic anyway. I never played hell's highway but I do remember a fair while ago now an online game called heros an generals I played a really early version though on a slow laptop but it was cool open maps not sure if it's still around now anymore
it is a very common and understandable thought, but the thing is that it would have limited the game from growing much further, as the immense amount of queues meant that many matches where full of bots, which dissatisfies many people, the post merge enlisted makes it so that you wil still get bots in your team, but noware near to before the merge and thus create more action packed and "enjoyable" games, though a side effect of this is that matches can become very sweaty.
pre merge all the cheaters would be on Normandy n you could play any of the other campaigns without seeing many cheaters but now since we don't have campaigns we cant escape the cheaters as they are in EVERY lobby now xD gaijin made a post saying "we heard your complaints" and basically said that we the players asked for campaigns to be removed via a pole and I was like "uhhhhh....I wasn't informed of a pole?" so I assume the cheaters got tired of facing each other and got a win by getting gaijin to remove campaigns....just a theory but it makes sense I mean NO ONE wanted campaigns removed so where did gaijin get the idea we did?....just saying the merge has only benefited the cheaters as now we cant escape them.
To me the br system should group 2 adjacent br according the number of players. And yes the br 3 is non sense. I do believe that there is still a lot of work ahead in terms balancing weapons to the right BR.
I play enlisted because i already grimded all the factions i wanted American, Japan and Germany. one of the worst things you didn't talk about was planes, ther is a lot of AT and high explosive weapons but almost no AA and the AA in game is compleet dogshit the with slow fire rate and low ammo capacity and quick heat building making it almost impossible to take out planes that make 170+ kills boring the teams to dead
also I think germans should be able to go on the D-Day map in Br I and II becuse with the bunker machinguns its fun to grind and they are the best aoutomatics in for Br I players when you have bolt actions and other not great stuff

Well, I get why you would like to have all maps for all BRs, but it is where devs try to keep historical accuracy. Ofc, they did not make it to 100%, like IS-2 in Stalingrad is nonsense. But that is not what I am going to say. I wanted to talk about bugs. I did noét experienced so many bugs, but there are few what really pissed me off. Like for example TNT charge not detonating. Or when trying to repair tank I was holding tools and mine as well. Not mentioning grenade launchers and their weird hit box. I mean, I tried to shoot through open door and open window so many times and killed myself. These 3 bugs sometimes killed me and I lost the game because of it. And yeah, economy is shit. I mostly use premium squads and account and getting 4k silver in 45min 10k match is not enough.
For the BR system why dont they use War Thunder's system where a BR can only face 1 up or 1 down. So 1 can go up against 2 2 can go up against 1 or 3 3 can go up against 2 or 4 And 4 can go up against 4 or 5
Overall enlisted is a great game at its core when everything works its like night and day at times. Though the only thing that I would disagree with is your statement on brs tier 2 can handle tier 3 heck if you look at the German tree it even outperforms it in some areas. I sound like a broken record at this point but the tiers should match make as follows 1-2, 4-5 and tier 3 should only match with 2 and 4. Those two tiers can handle tier 3 and still be fun. If you also want to separate them even further add the number system ex: 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. Maps need to be added too, I don’t mind the whole system of certain maps being played at certain brs because it was proven not to work the best in the testing with late war vehicles and weapons so thats ok.
i think that for germany you might be correct, however is it really fair for a starter player with a springfield rifle to come against a MG 34. i dont think so, because this cenario is exactly what the devs sought to avoid when making the BR system. Thats why kar98ks dont come up against federovs. I think that your proposal to make it so that br 3 can access br 2 and 4 mathces is also plausable, but then you have panther Gs against cruesader tanks. thx for the feedback tho
@@PandacorpsNp I want this game to succeed and have high hopes that’ll happen but there are things that need to be done first to ensure it. Also because I messed up on my wording to be clear tier 2 will only still fight 1 and 3 while tier 3 will only fight 2 and 4 tier 2 will never see tier 4 it’s just what ever has the higher player count will take priority first. So for example if tier 2 has more players than tier 4 it’ll prioritize a down tier first and vice versa. I’m not the best at being clear at times so I try to make sure I correct it when needed.

I quit playing the game after they added the BR system and the campaign mergers. I had no clue what was happening once they mashed all the weapons together and had all the factions and their skins mixed to the wrong campaigns. I personally wished they kept the skins separated by campaign as well as the period correct weapons through the war. There was so little explanation and too much to deal with after that update. As much of a painful grind it was I preferred the old style. Honestly I only wanted cross campaign upgrades where allied upgrades would be applied to all allied factions.
I love the game but the AI need an overhaul to be like the bots from the recent modern warfare games. Also ngl with how big the maps are this game could easily have a foxhole style open world massive scales warfare style instead of the current banzai charge gameplay

Oh you missed out on some stuff, enlisted was brought to steam like 5 or so days ago. the thing is it was taken down within like 12 hours of its launch due to the immence backlash the devs recieved once players found out they could have gotten the game for free if they had just gone to the gaijn store
BR4 MGs for the allies are BARs but the Axis get actual MGs? I’ll argue that that’s a pretty big power jump. Also in my opinion, we should have some balance in the game. While the game should still maintain its historical base, fun should take precedence over that. There’s nothing fun about being clobbered by OP stuff in the game and the equivalents are worse. Like why do the Americans get a bazooka at BR 3 that can barely pen medium tanks but the Germans at the same BR get a 200 pen rocket launcher? Why do the allies get only BARs until BR 5 but the Axis get better MGs at BR3. Why do the allies get a weak APC for the event while the axis get an APC that acts like a casemate Sherman and is just as hard to destroy? There was a balance before, and id argue especially for tanks in which the Germans had a Panther and that was still powerful but not broken like the Tiger and especially the Tiger 2. Like what was the logic of putting in the tiger 2 and not having a counter ready before the merge?
I see your point, which is a valid one, but the thing is if that the devs make everything balanced, yes at first it will be fun and there will be much more even games, but the point I was trying to make is that the factions will start playing the same, there will be no need to grind the German tanks if you already have the Pershing, because there will be no difference, there will be no need to grind the Soviet faction because the allies will have the same power, all being said I do think the devs should at least try and even things out a bit, so that nations are less dominant as it is quit frustrating to get stompt, also the BAR to German MG is a good point
@@Sorinoirmate they are used mostly correct about bar as it is goddamn MG of both world wars, m2 carbine is just treated as what it is: a carbine that's why it's FG42 counterpart (also notice that without Allies wouldn't have any full auto "semi" rifles). FG42 on the other hand should also theoretically be MG as that's what it was initialy designed but later on it was supposed to be main rifle (Hitler planned to do it after the war)
@@Pandacorps I’m all for asymmetric balancing, but I don’t think German mains would like semi-autos to be pushed to BR4 or the the Panther pushed to BR5. Hell Let Loose nails this but we play enlisted for a different experience.
AS some War Thunder fellas alluded to, it sounds stupid, sure, but would Gaijin be doing it if it didn't work? Fact of the matter is, the game is just easy enough, both in gameplay and progression early on, that people get hooked, at which point Gaijin jacks up the prices by a ludicrous amount and hold you by the balls - either you toil away and spend all your free time for fucking crumbs or spend stupid amounts of your real life money on fucking ones and zeroes. In fact, that's why I stopped playing Enlisted - I ALREADY play War Thunder, I have well over 1,600 hours in the damn thing and I'm pretty proud of not having spent a penny on it, but I haven't gotten past Rank 4 - and there's 8 shitting ranks, all of which get more and more expensive both in terms of Silver Lions AND Research Points. Now, granted, this includes the fact that I've got ALL of my nations (USA, USSR, Ger, GRB, China, Japan, Italy, Sweden, Israel) at at least Rank 3 Ground and Rank 2 Air, I probably could have gotten one country to rank 6 in both air and ground by now if all I did was maximize the grind but honestly that would just kill all the joy of the game for me anyway. The more you focus on the grind instead of the fun the less of a point there even is in playing. Still, I recall some REAL veterans sharing stories of only taking, like, MONTHS to research whole tech trees, while I've been playing for YEARS. Now, sure, back then there was less shit TO research, but the point stands. Now, Gaijin have been making changes for War Thunder, but only after people legit rioted and bombed reviews on like every single website that people bother checking reviews on. I'm talking Mostly Negative on Steam, I'm talking a torrent of 1 star reviews on IGN, literally everywhere you could think of there was a tide of angry fans absolutely spitting on the game's reputation, and only THEN, after YEARS of begging, did Gaijin actually try and not be scummy about the game mechanics. What I'm trying to say is your solution to the problems is simple; run the fucking reviews into the DIRT until Gaijin fixes their damn fucking game.
Another problem not mentioned: Players not playing how the game is meant to be, I'm talking about the ones who sit in a plane all match, camp in the rear not playing the objective, geryzone campers, or the player who spams rifle grenades, impact grenades, and flamethrowers

Ehhh, I literally quit the game over the faction issue you so casually dismissed. Why is it acceptable for one faction to win every game for a few months, then have things swap? Instead of having the highest rank players swapping teams all the time to stomp depending on events, they should actually work on the match making. I'd rather wait longer for a match that's more equal in skill and rank than keep getting trash lobbies that are one sided. Probably can't be done because there aren't enough players. Snail greed wins again.

i think you forget about the intelligence of the bots. The bots are obnoxiously stupid, and this is more or less a bot based game.
they have an decent aim and full auto mashineguns they are really good with also maybe your bots arent set om aggresive
The bots just felt like glorified respawns.
My bots usually do a great job, it’s all about perks and weapon upgrades.

They had a half decent game going and it was for the most part historical and now it's been gaijan'd into some infantry war thunder clone that's somehow worse, I mean it's one thing before the update were you had to use the weapon orders to even buy a new gun or grenade to give to one soldier that you then had to upgrade aswell an so they add a silver an gold currency system very similar to war thunder, like there wasn't enough grinding to do in the game originally.

The only difference is that now there are Tiger II’s, but if you’re in a BR-III tank a Tiger I and II might as well be the same thing

Premium account doesn't help with Silver gain at all. I have everything unlocked except a single jp plane and yet i don't have silver to buy them, upgrading them after buying is just a pipe dream. We shouldn't be paying to unlock god damn vehicles and weapons. In past they were free after unlocking them it's sad that they warthunderified it.

I really prefered older Enlisted, because it was a bit darker and grittier/gorier, which just gave Enlisted a more hardcore vibe.

I used to play War Thunder But With Infantry a few years ago and knowing Gaijin very well from 7 years of playing WT, nothing in this video suprises me. Because they are literally the same game. One with infantry, one without. They get the same treatment. I don't know how it is now, but Enlisted had much worse problem with premium buyers since you could bring extra vehicles and have literal P2W squads
enlisted was fun but the grind ruined it for many players . i used to play it a lot had 300 hours which felt way longer somehow. Matchs were fun trying to get an upperhand on the enemy even when you were outclassed unless you had stock rifles .
With the Silver currency part of the vid, the devs made an announcement literally as I was uploading the video onto youtube, that they are on course to fixing the economy, however it is unsertain what direction they will take the overhaul.
As a War Thunder Player i can say: They will make it worse, until you Review Bomb there game into oblivion.

Removing the campaign based map grouping was a mistake but the balance issue has been a thing since then. I stopped playing because I got bored and work got busy. I tried coming back and it was pick a campaign match set where one side was just curb stomping the other, doesn't matter which its an all around issue now. It was stuff like half your team is wiped by one guy with a rocket payload and most of the guys he just got were the newer players who are stuggling to get out of spawn areas. Or you are just trying to vibe and have fun and getting people angry at you because you arent wiping the whole enemy team in a vehicle (I got best vehicle squad for the match but had two guys still being toxic because I was doing "nothing"). I uninstalled a while ago. I poke around videos to see if any thing has improved but this kinda lookes like it just keeps getting worse and more toxic.

The thing that I said would kill the game for me was how the merge actually worked once it released, and I was sadly right. I hate being blocked out of half the maps because of the br system. The br queue system is also something that’s been complained about since the test servers and the devs have ignored the complaints about it for the most part. I went from playing enlisted 4-8 hours daily to playing it once every 2-3 weeks to see if anything I dislike about it has been changed. Super unfortunate that a game I enjoyed so much fell so hard. The merge was suppose to save the game but I think all it did was make playing it more of a chore.

Half the issues sound like stuff we either had dealt with or are still dealing with in war thunder. Poor balancing, up/down tiering making certain vehicles way too weak/strong, overly restfictive currency rewards. And the necessary bugs and glitches. At least the currency aspect has been fixed. Still too slow for some, but making consisten positive even when not going 8/0 is already a major step up from how it used to work. Premium being a boost and not a requirement to actually get anywhere also helped drastically. While still having premium be enough of a boost that if you get into the game enough it's genuinely worth considering.
The old enlisted was nice until *"that"* update that changed the whole research tree thing. They pretty much killed the game there.

this might work, if they expanded the playable zone for both teams, as more tanks means more greyzone campers, which is pretty hard to avoid even if they expanded the playable area. this would also probably lead to players just leaving the game because of 3 tiger 2s camping 300 meters away, or HVAR spam. good Idea in theory but might not be the best in practice. Thats what heppened with BR 3. It was a good Idea on paper to have a BR that could access low and high matches but in practice its almost unplayable.

I can see that enlisted has problems but it's still one of my favorite online games, hell i play almost everyday.
Luckly for me i have grinded most of german, Usa and Ussr trees before the merge and sit at minimum 500000 silver so i can do what i want in this game.
One of my favorite things i got by playing are event squads, sure events can be annoying but having let's say 25 shot gewer is hilarious.

After the merge update i stoped enlisted the silver gain is so bad that i can no longer get anything the grind is worse and they keep locking content on pay walls (like Apcs) and its 20$ on steam there is nothing good on this game

I stopped playing Enlisted after the Br system and the HUD update , you can't choose the campaign anymore + it's ugly , The Nation tree system is just bullshit.
My biggest problem post merge is that late war weapons became untouchable to me. Yes, it's very much a skill issue, but as a casual, I just can't have fun past BR III. Pre-merge I mained germany, because I really like the Hugo Boss drip and their weapons but now it feels like hell. If I go into a BR III+ match I either get assblasted by sweaty russians with timetraveling AK or an american paratrooper makes swiss cheese out of me with 100 round thompson.
BR 5 is a nightmare, BR is a toss of the coin, either you Yeet or get Yeeted on. Whoever thought this BR system would work should be fired immediately. Game was fun when we could pick campaigns.
You say enlisted is not like cod but that is actually what my first impression was from the game.
"It's like cod but with vehicles and bots that follow you around as back-up lives" is what I would tell others if they asked what enlisted was like.
I played Moscow campaign as the Germans until I unlocked my first MG team and then I got bored and moved on. Haven't touched the game since.
What annoys me most about the BR system as it stands that it really restricts how effective somewhat historical squads are.
Like take german infantry squads for example. How id like to run it the most would be a couple of K98s, one MP40 and one MG42.
The result is a BR5 squad where most of my squad is way less effective than it should be, opposed to what they should do and average out the BR among the squad members (so the one i described would probadly be BR3)
Also the maps annoy me.. I used to basically only play tunisia as i dont like urban maps. Last i played it felt like i was only being send to urban maps

The "free to play" concept is broken. It's just not free at all. I suffered Warthunder and WoW's for too long and they're the same basic model. You might be actually play the game for free, but to do any good, not die from the interminable grind, or even manage to enjoy the game, reduce the frustration, you have to spend money.
And that in itself is OK, they have a right to make some money, and to pay the staff, it's the obscene amounts they rip you off that's the problem.
In WT, one single digital representation of a vehicle, a bunch of pixels often copied from an already existing model can cost twice as much (in real money) as two complete "AAA" games.
BR is also an issue in WT, both in "power creep" and their practice of deliberately adding new vehicles at obviously too low a BR, in order to feed the "FoMo" (Fear of missing out) of the player base, encouraging players to avoid the extra grind and just pay money.
As soon as I saw that Gaijin was the publisher of Enlisted, I said "no thanks" and never even tried it.
Your comments on BR, Balance and Maps are just like somebody talking about WT.. so my decision seems valid.

Opino que el progreso es horrible y cuando quise invitar a amigos, estos tenían traumas con el progreso de war thunder y no quisieron tocarlo ni de broma, tier 3 debería enfrentar a tier 2 y 4 solamente o funcionar a parte, por que en tier 5 no sirven ni de distracción, Alemania tiene demasiados panzer 3 y 4, el mejor stug es premiun, y por lo general este juego tiene un modelo de negocio pensado para niños con tiempo libre infinito y padres rico, pero lo juegan adultos con trabajo y poco tiempo para sí mismos, después de todo es un simulador bélico con especial énfasis en las armas, la balística y la contextualización histórica, pero más que nada en las armas, este juego hace las mejores armas, según yo, este juego tiene las escopetas más realistas de los videojuegos. those are the real big problems as i thought as an 4 years player,it is really a good game but only old players like me can sometimes have fun ,but sadly i played USA for a very long time and most of time are suffered before. So now i only play BR3 to have fun .But i think this will change so i have to play BR2 to have fun and have retire feeling. BR4,5 just let me feel tired .

As someone who has played this game for a year and a half the issue with the game is very simple, actually 5 problems that if fixed would save the game:
1-Fix the BR system or find a way to bring campaigns back
2-fix Bugs (weapons dont mount properly, cant fire projectiles out of windows in doors,
3-Focus HEAVILY on A.I because the bots are garbage
4-Let players pick game modes
5-Fix the wonky pricing of equipment
If they did this, the game would easily be much more fun, because right now it feels like the player base fell off a cliff and the grind is unbearable.
The low rewards, unbalanced BRs and uptiers, losing streaks, inability to pick maps, are all DELIBERATE design decisions to monetise frustration.
They won’t be fixed because they’re not flaws.
They want you to pay money to skip the grind. And like gambling, loosing streaks only result in addicted players trying ‘one more match’ to get a win.
I had a 27 game loss streak in WT once. It’s by design.
If you value your sanity, don’t play anything associated with Gaijin.

I don't even care progressing through the tech tree, I'm having enough fun on the ranks I'm in.. but I was lucky enough to play before most of this stuff was added so i have a few late tier items like the panzer 4 which is good enough for me.
Most points seem pretty good here.
One thing I disagree with is germans being able to choose eastern vs western front. I am pretty sure it would make matchmaking even worse, as atm the matchmaker can balance the german teams around the american and soviet teams, which wouldn't work as well if people can limit that. If for example german teams would prever the eastern front then american teams might end up with a lot of bot matches again, as I don't think there's a lot of people playing the japanese compared to the other factions and playing on a map you don't prefer is way better than playing against mindless bots imo.
The differences in which side is winning is often probably more based on which faction is currently played by a lot of people, rather than equipment I think, regarding the balance between factions point. Yes they are somewhat connected, but I think fun new toys are more relevant than pure power of a faction here.
Interestingly I have a very different BR III experience than you atm. Even when uptiered I tend to do really well. Not as well as when down tiered, but atm my biggest problem there is not knowing the maps that well yet (Only been playing up to BR III since the update for now and used to play only moscow), rather than the eqiupment. Tho I find you don't face BR V to often. I haven't seen a single BR V tank in my pz 4 yet for example. I think I still prefer the BR +-1 idea, where the server chooses a BR for a match and tries to fill with people from that BR and can use at most 1 higher or lower in BR to fill the remaining slots. Tho your idea sounds very reasonable too and would prolly work well.

Would be nice if you can choose between historically accurate battles or not, i sometimes feel bored facing the same faction again and again, like war thunder simulator battles. But, if they did that, there will be a lesser reason to grind other factions and they may lose their uniqueness of facing a certain faction on certain maps.
rn the best for that is low BR, cuz it has most of the most common weapons in ww2 like the kar98k etc.
I played for like two months and stopped completely thereafter. I didn’t like the gun and run system of this. I neither like the realistic milsims like HLL or PS. I want something that’s like both. You get to have fun but you also need to involve yourself into the game in tactics and strategy.
Honestly this game is nowhere near a mil sims nor requires anything special tactic wise, basically if you push the objective you win, if your team stays back sniping you lose xD

I never played hell's highway but I do remember a fair while ago now an online game called heros an generals I played a really early version though on a slow laptop but it was cool open maps not sure if it's still around now anymore

I think but it is my own opinion that old enlisted was better, but that is just me,btw good luck on your channel.
it is a very common and understandable thought, but the thing is that it would have limited the game from growing much further, as the immense amount of queues meant that many matches where full of bots, which dissatisfies many people, the post merge enlisted makes it so that you wil still get bots in your team, but noware near to before the merge and thus create more action packed and "enjoyable" games, though a side effect of this is that matches can become very sweaty.

What i disliked about the game = Massive amount of cheaters. And the tech tree change.
pre merge all the cheaters would be on Normandy n you could play any of the other campaigns without seeing many cheaters but now since we don't have campaigns we cant escape the cheaters as they are in EVERY lobby now xD gaijin made a post saying "we heard your complaints" and basically said that we the players asked for campaigns to be removed via a pole and I was like "uhhhhh....I wasn't informed of a pole?" so I assume the cheaters got tired of facing each other and got a win by getting gaijin to remove campaigns....just a theory but it makes sense I mean NO ONE wanted campaigns removed so where did gaijin get the idea we did?....just saying the merge has only benefited the cheaters as now we cant escape them.
To me the br system should group 2 adjacent br according the number of players. And yes the br 3 is non sense. I do believe that there is still a lot of work ahead in terms balancing weapons to the right BR.
I play enlisted because i already grimded all the factions i wanted American, Japan and Germany. one of the worst things you didn't talk about was planes, ther is a lot of AT and high explosive weapons but almost no AA and the AA in game is compleet dogshit the with slow fire rate and low ammo capacity and quick heat building making it almost impossible to take out planes that make 170+ kills boring the teams to dead
i dislike this game yet i play it for hours every day and ima play tomorrow too and the next day as well

Well, I get why you would like to have all maps for all BRs, but it is where devs try to keep historical accuracy. Ofc, they did not make it to 100%, like IS-2 in Stalingrad is nonsense. But that is not what I am going to say. I wanted to talk about bugs. I did noét experienced so many bugs, but there are few what really pissed me off. Like for example TNT charge not detonating. Or when trying to repair tank I was holding tools and mine as well. Not mentioning grenade launchers and their weird hit box. I mean, I tried to shoot through open door and open window so many times and killed myself. These 3 bugs sometimes killed me and I lost the game because of it. And yeah, economy is shit. I mostly use premium squads and account and getting 4k silver in 45min 10k match is not enough.
For the BR system why dont they use War Thunder's system where a BR can only face 1 up or 1 down. So 1 can go up against 2
2 can go up against 1 or 3
3 can go up against 2 or 4
And 4 can go up against 4 or 5
money, bread, bag, cash, bling, dollars or peso. However you wanna say money the answer is money.

Overall enlisted is a great game at its core when everything works its like night and day at times. Though the only thing that I would disagree with is your statement on brs tier 2 can handle tier 3 heck if you look at the German tree it even outperforms it in some areas. I sound like a broken record at this point but the tiers should match make as follows 1-2, 4-5 and tier 3 should only match with 2 and 4. Those two tiers can handle tier 3 and still be fun. If you also want to separate them even further add the number system ex: 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. Maps need to be added too, I don’t mind the whole system of certain maps being played at certain brs because it was proven not to work the best in the testing with late war vehicles and weapons so thats ok.
i think that for germany you might be correct, however is it really fair for a starter player with a springfield rifle to come against a MG 34. i dont think so, because this cenario is exactly what the devs sought to avoid when making the BR system. Thats why kar98ks dont come up against federovs. I think that your proposal to make it so that br 3 can access br 2 and 4 mathces is also plausable, but then you have panther Gs against cruesader tanks. thx for the feedback tho
@@PandacorpsNp I want this game to succeed and have high hopes that’ll happen but there are things that need to be done first to ensure it. Also because I messed up on my wording to be clear tier 2 will only still fight 1 and 3 while tier 3 will only fight 2 and 4 tier 2 will never see tier 4 it’s just what ever has the higher player count will take priority first. So for example if tier 2 has more players than tier 4 it’ll prioritize a down tier first and vice versa. I’m not the best at being clear at times so I try to make sure I correct it when needed.

I quit playing the game after they added the BR system and the campaign mergers. I had no clue what was happening once they mashed all the weapons together and had all the factions and their skins mixed to the wrong campaigns. I personally wished they kept the skins separated by campaign as well as the period correct weapons through the war. There was so little explanation and too much to deal with after that update. As much of a painful grind it was I preferred the old style. Honestly I only wanted cross campaign upgrades where allied upgrades would be applied to all allied factions.

Nah 3 diluted what made it great. Its not the worst but its very far from the peak which is 2.
BR4 MGs for the allies are BARs but the Axis get actual MGs? I’ll argue that that’s a pretty big power jump. Also in my opinion, we should have some balance in the game. While the game should still maintain its historical base, fun should take precedence over that. There’s nothing fun about being clobbered by OP stuff in the game and the equivalents are worse. Like why do the Americans get a bazooka at BR 3 that can barely pen medium tanks but the Germans at the same BR get a 200 pen rocket launcher? Why do the allies get only BARs until BR 5 but the Axis get better MGs at BR3. Why do the allies get a weak APC for the event while the axis get an APC that acts like a casemate Sherman and is just as hard to destroy? There was a balance before, and id argue especially for tanks in which the Germans had a Panther and that was still powerful but not broken like the Tiger and especially the Tiger 2. I see your point, which is a valid one, but the thing is if that the devs make everything balanced, yes at first it will be fun and there will be much more even games, but the point I was trying to make is that the factions will start playing the same, there will be no need to grind the German tanks if you already have the Pershing, because there will be no difference, there will be no need to grind the Soviet faction because the allies will have the same power, all being said I do think the devs should at least try and even things out a bit, so that nations are less dominant as it is quit frustrating to get stompt, also the BAR to German MG is a good point

BAR should be an fg42 equivalent not an MG! and m2 carabine should be stg44 equivalent not FG42 equivalent.
@@Sorinoirmate they are used mostly correct about bar as it is goddamn MG of both world wars, m2 carbine is just treated as what it is: a carbine that's why it's FG42 counterpart (also notice that without Allies wouldn't have any full auto "semi" rifles).
FG42 on the other hand should also theoretically be MG as that's what it was initialy designed but later on it was supposed to be main rifle (Hitler planned to do it after the war)
@@Pandacorps I’m all for asymmetric balancing, but I don’t think German mains would like semi-autos to be pushed to BR4 or the the Panther pushed to BR5. Hell Let Loose nails this but we play enlisted for a different experience.
AS some War Thunder fellas alluded to, it sounds stupid, sure, but would Gaijin be doing it if it didn't work? Fact of the matter is, the game is just easy enough, both in gameplay and progression early on, that people get hooked, at which point Gaijin jacks up the prices by a ludicrous amount and hold you by the balls - either you toil away and spend all your free time for fucking crumbs or spend stupid amounts of your real life money on fucking ones and zeroes. In fact, that's why I stopped playing Enlisted - I ALREADY play War Thunder, I have well over 1,600 hours in the damn thing and I'm pretty proud of not having spent a penny on it, but I haven't gotten past Rank 4 - and there's 8 shitting ranks, all of which get more and more expensive both in terms of Silver Lions AND Research Points. Now, granted, this includes the fact that I've got ALL of my nations (USA, USSR, Ger, GRB, China, Japan, Italy, Sweden, Israel) at at least Rank 3 Ground and Rank 2 Air, I probably could have gotten one country to rank 6 in both air and ground by now if all I did was maximize the grind but honestly that would just kill all the joy of the game for me anyway. The more you focus on the grind instead of the fun the less of a point there even is in playing. Still, I recall some REAL veterans sharing stories of only taking, like, MONTHS to research whole tech trees, while I've been playing for YEARS. Now, sure, back then there was less shit TO research, but the point stands. Now, Gaijin have been making changes for War Thunder, but only after people legit rioted and bombed reviews on like every single website that people bother checking reviews on. I'm talking Mostly Negative on Steam, I'm talking a torrent of 1 star reviews on IGN, literally everywhere you could think of there was a tide of angry fans absolutely spitting on the game's reputation, and only THEN, after YEARS of begging, did Gaijin actually try and not be scummy about the game mechanics.
What I'm trying to say is your solution to the problems is simple; run the fucking reviews into the DIRT until Gaijin fixes their damn fucking game.

Another problem not mentioned: Players not playing how the game is meant to be, I'm talking about the ones who sit in a plane all match, camp in the rear not playing the objective, geryzone campers, or the player who spams rifle grenades, impact grenades, and flamethrowers

Ehhh, I literally quit the game over the faction issue you so casually dismissed. Why is it acceptable for one faction to win every game for a few months, then have things swap? Instead of having the highest rank players swapping teams all the time to stomp depending on events, they should actually work on the match making. I'd rather wait longer for a match that's more equal in skill and rank than keep getting trash lobbies that are one sided. Probably can't be done because there aren't enough players. Snail greed wins again.
