If your chocolate clumps up by using the food color put some vegetable crisco in it...it makes it creamy again

Yo_shazz yup that too but if you put too much in, your chocolate won't harden all the way.

I did this and it made my almond bark taste awful like the candy melts taste. I couldn't believe it cuz I only used a few red candy melts to white almond bark to make pastel pink. Maybe my candy melts were especially old, but it tasted like inedible

I tried the Wilton's red candy melts mixed with the white almond bark and dipped my strawberries in it and it left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. So is the red candy melts the only ones that taste bitter?

People often forget that white is a color. It's not transparent. So adding some black will often darken the color.

Or you could just use the gel food color made especially for candy and chocolate. There’s Wilton brand and a few other brands I found on Amazon. There’s also a liquid one that does not seize your chocolate or melts.
