Can you do 2 types. I have a semi detached with a hip roof i think. Could i do a conversion to a gable roof but also with a dormer?

Thanks a lot. What about a dormer (overlooking the back garden) conversion for a chalet bungalow ) ? Can the chalet bungalow at the back object by saying that their garden will lose privacy?

If it has pd rights intact would be fine. But could be planning if you don’t have permitted development rights and then could be an issue.

Can you apply for certificate of lawfulness after commencing the loft conversion or do you have to wait till after 6-8weeks of grating the certificate before construction can commence?

You should wait first as if not issues could be classed as an illegal build if no permission is granted
