Daemons momma passed when he was 3. That WAS his momma, but it was really just Alys and her Weirwood shenans. Momma had weirwood sap on her neck right before the sequence ends. Them trees makin Daemon a sad boy.
I watched this with my mom, and when I told her about the captions referencing the "pus squelching" from Aegon's armor removal, she about flipped out on me! 🤢🤢🤢
None of the women are respected by their council, but at least the guy on R's council is super loyal. Allicent is going through it though, because she is qualified to lead, and Aemond, though very clever, is way less experienced and is also unhinged and violent. At the end, she's not just upset for herself, she is the only one aware of the danger Aemond poses on a throne as his first act as regent is closing the gates. Very great piece of tv.
