This is not cruise related but we wanted to share this with all of you in hopes we can get the word out. This was literally the scariest few hours of our life!

45 years ago I was working and I answered the work phone and the man said: "I have your daughter." and then hung up. I was frantic as my ex-husband had threatened to take the daughter we shared. After a 5 minute debate with my boss (she said that I would be fired if I used the work phone for personal use); I was able to call the daycare and she was there safe & sound. I was a mess for hours. It was a random prank happening at the time around Columbus, Ohio. I am so sorrowful that in your case that scammers did that to you & your family.

It happened to my mother-in-law. They called and said it was my son and said he was in jail in another country. She's a smart cookie. She said hold on a minute. She got the house phone and called my husband and said where's your son. He's in his bed asleep so you did the right thing by calling 911

This happened to my Elderly Parents in Pennsylvania. They said they had my Daughter and wanted $5000 to return her ( We live in another State) And our Daughter was at our home at the time visiting she lives 5 miles away from us 😉. So be wary , it can happen to anyone. And it is Frightening.
