Oh, okay, I see. This and Party Girls were part of the Simple 2000 Series in Japan, which was a series of short, low-budget games that each cost 2,000 yen, which is like $20. Yeah, these games can get real interesting sometimes. There are also hundreds of them since they took so little time to make.

Having seen how Arin flies a plane in this, I am genuinely interested in watching him play something more involved for a flight sim like Ace Combat or thrown into the deep end of Microsoft Flight Sim.

I wonder what happened first:
- Some dude had an idea for a cool Ace Combat like game but had no budget for it, so he convinced the Digital Bros to produce it at the cost of adding a giant anime girl.
- Digital Bros wanted to make a game about a giant anime girl, but the dev team told them that they needed a "mechanic" of some sort for it to make sense.
Digital Bros only handled EU releases, D3 Publisher is the actual publisher in Japan. It's part of D3's Simple 2000 series (as in 2000 yen).
One guy wanted a plane combat game, the other guy wanted a giant girl in a bikini game. And then they kissed.

Also part of these Simple 2000 games was the first Earth Defense Force, a phenomenal franchise.
Also also, it's really interesting that even back then, devs seem reluctant to call things by their proper names, like they refer to the woman as "Creature" and never a giant woman. In the EDF series, they NEVER call the Ants "Ants" or the Pillbugs "Pillbugs". They are called "Monsters" or "Species-Gamma" or something, and they never once use the name of an insect. They also refer to these bipedal frogs as "Humanoids" despite having much MORE humanoid grey-style aliens later in the game. How strange.

I've never understood the market for this type of game, particularly for the time period. The only people who would get exited by a low poly female would also need a parent to buy the game for them. Those old enough to have the money to buy it and be able to go get it on their own would also know about actual porn and how to get it for free online. So who was this game developed for?
Bizarre how the scanning section at the start is so janky and yet the alien section in the fighter jet looks very well thought out and fun to control. Also bizarre that this is a game where you play as the millitary trying to protect the world from a giant bikini model.
