Thank you so much for this wonderful video! I was having a very hard time envisioning how the glutes were abductors (from my text book) but this cleared it up immediately. Thank you!
The videos are good..by A SUGGESTION: It would be more clear to understand if sound is added and is verbally also explained. Have to pause the video to read Wats written and then again play the video to follow
I cant work out in my head how the medius muscle strands internally rotate the leg. Where exactly are the anterior fibers of the medius and minimus are they the ones you see when the model is facing directly forward and square on to you? Or do they start further back? How do they internally rotate the leg? The internal rotation shown here is internal but up as well how does it internally rotate alone without going up too?
Excellent. Thank you. What software do you use to create those animations? Did you create the 3D models manually or did you use motion capture technology?
what ive seen in my textbooks is that the glute med is like the deltoid of the thigh, the anterior fibers internally rotate and minimally flex the thigh, and the posterior fibers externally rotate and extend the thigh.
Been looking for this kind of animation of the gluteal muscles at work.

Thank you! Really helpful. It would be great to see also what movements make these muscles stretch.
Our program is limited to functional anatomy ;-(

Struggling to understand how the Gluteus medius internally rotate thigh??
Can you shed any more light?
Much appricated
Got it now!
@@alexmoore347 Could you help tell me where is it ? (internally rotate thigh)
what's that ball socket thing in the groin area?
?
How does the gluteus medius internally rotate thigh?!

Brillinat they missed out the medius internally rotating though. Only showed the minimus doing that.
Videos show only the main role of muscles
Anatomie 3D Lyon the main role of the medius is internal rotation too?
Have you got a video of piriformis?
