This is where I met my husband back in 1985 at Cloud 9 and Studio K dance clubs in Knotts, still together till this day ❤️

I was about 7 years old. We used to go to Knotts alot. We lived in Lakewood. This was really the Golden Age of Knotts. It was so clean and not rowdy

I attended Saint Margaret Mary in Lomita,CA...and we went to Knott's every single year at the end of each school year. Damn, we had so much fun....never fully realizing how good we had it back then.😮 My friends and I would ALWAYS ride the Soapbox racers first. When that ride was taken away, I lost a bit of my childhood.

I grew up nearby, and went to Knott’s often in the late 1990s - 2000s. Boomerang and Montezooma’s Revenge (and later Excelerator) were my fave rides there.

No cell phone in sight, except for the one recording this awesome footage!

Well, not even that. This was recorded using a VHS video camera. Cell phones hardly existed back then.

thanks so much for posting this great video. I went there in 1990 so it was really fun seeing what it was like when I was there.

6:33 I remember riding boomerang, they changed the color of the ride many times. I was shocked when they closed it down but I'll never forget this ride

10:48 It saddens me that almost no one knows this train bridge used to be a functional drawbridge. When I used to work at Knott's I spoke with some of the mechanics, and one said the wiring was still there, so hypothetically it could still work!

The train robbers would always startle me as a kid too. Hahaaa

the sky cabin seems to have gone up way faster back then, it’s goes up slower now either due to wear and tear, or just for longer ride time

When I was a little kid we lived in Downey and Norwalk. Mom got us kids summer passes for Knott's in 1990 when this film is from. We must have went 10 times that summer. I was never tall enough to ride Montezuma's Revenge. Now I'm 6'5.😂🤣. Soap Box Racers and dinosaur Kingdom where the best

AGREED! After certain rides were taken away, it wasn't as fun for me anymore. Those two rides were soooo COOL! Nostalgia!!!

Right... 30 years has past so you would imagine things change quite a bit. Haven't been to Knott's in a very long time.
