Interesting...the Nick Lane song they play at the very end - announced here as “Blasters” - was recorded by Maynard Ferguson under the title “Admiral’s Horn”.

Probably not, but my trumpet teacher in North Hollywood in the late 50s was Ollie Mitchell Jr. Great teacher and studio player. Any relation?

Ollie was not a Jr, his Dad was Harold "Pappy" Mitchell. Ollie and Pappy were both legendary studio trumpet players.
