MY GOD! I'M BACK TO THE BEST DECADE OF MUSIC ON THE PLANET!
I'm 59, I lived that time!
Same as my age! And the same feeling! Greetings from Brazil.
自分は37年前二十歳でした。彼らのサウンドに夢中になりました!
来日公演にも行きました。
彼らは若かった。
長い時を経ても今でも健在で、あの頃を思い出させてくれる彼らに感謝!
No way any music of today will be heard in 40 years as hits of the 80s are heard in every aspect of today, just as fresh as back then. Man I miss all that music!
God's Favorite Band.
Been saying it since 88 when I first discovered em.
True Faith, Temptation, and Ceremony got me and I've never loved another band more.
I had no idea these guys were still this good. Tremendous. I had all their albums in the 80s, just reconnecting now, its awesome. Feel like a young man again, kinda
This is a particularly good performance and recording. So much better than four years earlier, although I prefer the original versions of many of their songs, such as 586.
@@LutherAndIsla agree 100% must get this DVD
they sound great but would be better with Peter
@@novadhd There's only one Peter Hook. Often imitated but never duplicated.
Should have seen them at the O2 in 2021, they were incredible!
This band meant everything to me in my youth.
Tonight I started with some live Depeche Mode and then I listened to some live gems from The Cure which inevitably led me to New Order....Is it just me or do these bands sound just as fresh as the day they unleashed their magic onto the world? I for one am so grateful to have been a teenager when this happened. Decades later I am still marveling at their talent and power to influence generations.
+musicbetweenus 2 You're not alone, very true indeed
Totalmente de acuerdo con tu comentario. Muy acertado, lo hago mío con tu permiso. Un fan irreductible de Depeche Mode y New Order
Sorry Bernie. "Love" isn't the same song without Ian Curtis".
musicbetweenus 2 I was lucky to see Depeche and New Order on the same concert in Copenhagen back in 1986! That was quite an evening.
@@johanjohansson7717 how about seeing DM open w/ Electronic (featuring Bernard Sumner, Johnny Marr, and the Pet Shop Boys)?
Blue Monday is the border of rock, from punk to progressive. It'was revolutionary.
Probably the best rendition of "True Faith" I've ever heard.
Fair one 🔥👍👏
Is year 2056 and we're still listening New Order
😂😂😂😂
I miss Hooky but this is clearly New Order and i love the sound.
His voice sounds exactly the same as 30 years ago....dang superior voice!!!
I feel like crying when I hear Love Will Tear Us Apart by New Order, long live Joy Division forever.
Me too.
Same. I hear & see only Ian. I’d rather see video footage or they drop it.😓🌹X
.....and Bernard needs to stop screaming ‘come on’. I just miss Ian’s heartfelt vocals. 🌹X
@@ellalicor8510 and stop the whooping too.
Me too
Really awesome. I used to dance these songs at São Paulo in 1988. Great times!
One of my top three or four bands, New Order, DM, The Cure, Pet Shop Boys. I listened to them back when I was a teenager in my native island Dominican Republic, back then we used to have radio station playing hard core British music all day baby, to this day i still listens and follow their music thanks to social platforms is now easier to follow these bands, and paly their music. Thank you for the great memories!
It is the voice that defined the band..think depeche mode, psb, etc..Bernards voice is perfect for new order sound
Perfect kiss with headphones on in the 80s blew me away.
Best live New Order performance I can recall. Recording quality is exceptional
You can go a long way to find the uploaded audio files of this quality on CZcams. Helps that it's not a long performance/large file sometimes. It's a bit bright in places but the bass is there if you can give it a wee boost. Lovely!
one could argue their more recent live performances are more technically competent than their 80's shows simply because the equipment is better nowadays
Man I got fu**ing tears in my eyes when they playing love will tear us apart... Dave gahan has performed it very well too... Love it...

This version of 586 is fantastic!!!
Freaking Joy Division / New Order.... Grew up with this music and hold it close to my heart. Being a teenager in the 80's was just amazing, I remember jamming to all these music at the Purple Grotto!
586のライブバージョン始めて聴いた。
超〜かっこいい。
What an incredible band. From the beginning New Order has sounded better live than on vinyl.
THAT BASS THOUGH!!! KILLING IT!!!
I f*cling love Blue Monday.....!!!! 👍👍👍 Brings back memories to hear these songs 👏👏

One of the seminal connections between rock and electronic dance music. Still sounds relevant and great.
586 is amazing live!
It's a God tier song
2020 Covid19 - Still Listening to my all time favorite band NO. Anyone else?
Yes, now and forever...
@@sergiosozi q
Are you living under a rock ?
Good music though
My only commentary: How and why could they ever NOT do "Bizarre Love Triangle?" BLT is the GREATEST dance/club song EVER in the history of music. Period.
I held on to the grating on the steps of the Starck Club and thrashed myself into an EXXXXXXSTATIC frenzy every time it came on.
Totally been on those steps , fun times
The spirit of my teenage years!
The only band that went through a time machine and brought future to the past. Their music is way ahead of their time. NEW ORDER FOREVER!
You should listen to Kraftwerk ,their music is so futurestic too :)
@@charmlessman229 amen 🙏
@@charmlessman229 spot on my friend!
Can't mention Kraftwerk without OMD
@@LutherAndIsla very true ..love OMD too 👍🎵
Still sounds so good all these years later...i miss music
Good describe about music honour please ...
Temptation sounds really nice in this live performance which is a rare thing when listening to out of studio context.
This brings back so many memories. Good ones! I could dance all night to this!🤭😍🫶🏻👩🏻🎤🙋🏼♀️
A trip down memory lane! Joy 😊
Absolute best of the 80s....better than all others....PSB...DEPECHE...ERASURE CURE...ETC ETC
Pretty darn Awesome for 30 years later. Vunderbar!
Stephen Morris' drumming is amazing, and on Transmission in particular it's out of this world.
Saw them in Jones Beach Circa 90 N there still killin it today!
I got married a couple days before this concert. Was there, too and had a blast myself.
+Durval M. Campos best wedding party ever!
seven years later, and this is still amazing. new order are insanely good.
you got that spot on matey
I caught the last tour thru Dallas back in 1993, their live shows sound better than the records
Yes, outstanding, tight and beautifully filmed!
we miss u Ian.
New Order = 3 of 4, from Joy Division R.I.P Ian Curtis
Love NO and JD
Sound quality is Absolute Fabulous
When I watched them live I was blown away...They are damn good, even after almost fourty years in world of music.
***** Oui, Curtis etait un grand artist aussi, dans le postpunk era, mais je pense que New Order mouvement vers electropop et La Nouvelle Vague etait tres important pour le band.
Ye should have seen 'em in the SFX in Dublin in January 26 '1986 pal.
Friendchip.
I should.Really love them.My favourite band since I was introduced to New Wave and Post Punk. But I wasn't on this world that long ago.
I saw them live in 86 at the festival of the 10th Summer in Manchester The Smiths were there as well the two greatest bands on this planet at the same festival for £13 bargain
Barra Raider i was there too - you forgot to say that the Fall were there too, so at the time the 3 greatest bands in the world!!!
blue Monday is my favorite new order song.i was so into New Wave. I love all that music.
Blue Monday was my introduction to New Order when it was first released. I have a very distinct memory of it listening to it on a car sound system at max volume parked in the middle of an airfield where I worked in Cheshire, UK. 😊
Great concert! I was there that time. :)
blast from the past my era, i feel so young listening to this, they haven`t lost their touch have they
I just love the way Bernard laughs at himself after realizing he screwed up the lyrics.
5:08 True Faith ? LOL
@@juliev4522 yes
Haha the world...
That's because he is a twat - lost without Peter Hook - his best friend of many years that he stabbed in the back.
I love the bass in Blue Monday
me too
I concur
I saw New Order on the Technique tour 1989 at Blossom Music Center in northeast Ohio. Seeing them perform The Perfect Kiss live was one of the best live show memories of my lifetime.
I saw this band live @ Six Flags in Atlanta, GA., in1989- they were awesome. 😎
Love how Barney makes a mistake in the lyrics at 5:09 and laughs a little. He will always be my favorite voice. Absolutely amazing. ❤️
I noticed that too. Funny... Barney has a sense of humor
Stephen Paul David Morris = Human drum machine.
Truth!
But way, way better than a machine could ever do! :)
Better than one. Impeccable feel only a quality human musician could produce.
Of course. When Marin left him at the roof he had all the time in the world to perfect the groove :))))
fredintheshed1 for a second I thought you wrote Human League instead of Human Machine haha
This is real music.
I remember the video to ‘True Faith’, it had a Bauhaus art feel to it.
Why would anyone ever give this a thumbs down?!?!?!
One of the best bands ever put together I was hoping to see them perform Crystal.! I love that song!!!
Fabulosos ! Hace 35 años eran súper famosos! Me encanta su música, y verlos de nuevo y escucharlos me llena de emoción 💕
Love Joy Division and of course New Order. Watch “Control” if you haven’t yet.
His voice has aged well. Still sounds like he's my age. Would kill to see NO live one day,
honestly.. there is a lot of auto-tune on his mic
Oh you can totally hear the tone adjustment, but he also had that back in the day. lol It still sounds great save for a place here and there.
I agree.. I love new order
You're in luck. If you are in North America, they'll be touring with Pet Shop Boys this in Fall 2020.
No Hooky, no thanks
Am glad I lived the 80’s and I must say that, new order is a great band 🥁🎸🎤🔈🎶🎶🎶🎶
Love Stephen Morris giving it socks on the drums while Gillian is as calm as a cucumber on keyboards, they are like ying and yang, but it must work between them!
Не
Love Will Tear Us Apart.i have something in my eye.
THIS SOOOO FUCKING AMAZING! I WISH I WAS THEREEEE
Progress is progress… when one member leaves due to artistic differences it will never be the same, but what you do get is both Bernard and Peter playing old New Order tracks in each other’s own interpretation. I saw Peter Hook at the Holmfirth Picturedrome he played some classic New Order, and I have seen Bernard, both offer different perspectives and to be honest I liked both, so the group is no longer the founding members, but we have two who offer alternatives... I think it is a double bonus for all new order fans… long live Bernard and Peter I say, RIP Ian, gone but never forgotten.
Seen Hooky at the Picturedrome - brilliant.
Don't tell anybody but the Picturedrome is THE GREATEST VENUE.
love how Bernard is so obviously always having fun when performing. this is a great live show by them. one of the better ones i've seen.
Definitely looks like he’s having more fun than in the early days where he looked terrified. Or drunk and terrified.
Thank you to everyone that made this possible. Possibly the best New Order performance... Masters....
WTF?! Are you for real? What an absurd idiocy
If you could see my goosebumps!!! Well. You probably don't want to. Not really the sort of thing you want to see is it? Well. Anyway. I've got them. Your fault. Great music! As always! Ta!
Blue Monday is not the same without Peter Hooks iconic haunting bass. That sound just cannot be reproduced.
Well it can, he needs to use the same Yamaha bass and then the same amps and settings etc.
New Order is not the same without Hooky.
Bernard makes new order
Hooky was great, but clearly New Order is more than Hooky
@@LutherAndIsla what you mean he provided their signature sound
I HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF WATCHIN NEW ORDER LIVE IN CONCERT, TOURING TECHNIQUE. . !!
There will never, ever be another decade for music like the 80’s! Sooo many truly talented artists created absolutely timeless music. New Order, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Thompson Twins, etc, etc. ALL artists in their own right. We also had some incredible Aussie artists too, which I also got to see live. I am so thankful I was a teenager and part of it all! 💙 from Australia! 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Sooooo many, it's true, we were positively spoiled musically in the 80s!
Goosebumbs all over and New order playing Joy divison as only the can !
TEMPTATION JUST ABOUT PERFECT .
I liked how they played a bit of Street Hastle
1989. Yes. Madison Square Garden in NYC. Still have my tkt stub. Many years later (30) my Then 16 year old daughter took all my tkt stubs and made a scrapbook for me and gave it to me for Christmas. I can’t tell you what I got for all those Christmas’s, but this was the most precious.
Fantastic drummer 👍
Brilliant, so many memories, dancing with 14 years old.
Starting from the Sound of the 8ties. New Order is Great.
One the best bands of world at Eighties...I miss Them!!! It's part of my life and is part of my life soundtrack...
This is too good to be true. Greatest band ever.
I grew up with this bands luky for thte people that lives in Europe and Usa who could listen to this great bands today I envy then in the good sense salute from Uruguay latin america !!!
This show was 'BLOODY BRILLIANT' !!!
nice to see the Korg microsampler being used by one of my favourite bands
One of the greatest "new wave" electronic bands of all time! I've been fortunate enough to see them twice in concert ..... an incredible experience! Still love all their music to this day ..... brings back great memories, thank you New Order!!
Please ensure love will tear us apart features in all of your concerts - it’s in your DNA
I don't comment often on YT, and I've always kept my thoughts to myself about New Order. I am just so tired of all the "Barney bashers." Did you even watch this show or just come to complain about the fact that a Joy Division member killed himself and another took his ball and his grumpy ass and went home? Bernard and Stephen are so totally in their element in this performance. i which it went on for twice as long as it did.
Agreed. And tbh, I think the bass sounds great ( with no disrespect to Hook). I enjoyed thus show and all the complainers need to chill the fuck out.
Best live concert I’ve seen since whenever when!
When some bands improvise or morph their trusted catalogue it can be a little cringy. These guys do it with such a light touch it's a wonderful addition. Heavens. Great stuff.
Remembering my college parties with my friends strawberries hehehe...
this is the best rendition of Tempation I've ever heard
This is my jam!❤️❤️❤️ I find myself being 18 again. Still dancing to the beat. I am 55 now. 😀
Right on! I’m 60 lol
I try not to think about what my life would have been like without Joy Division and New Order. Lesser, I imagine.
JOY DIVISION STILL LIVES IN FORM OF NEW ORDER, SIMPLY CLASSIC!!!!!
Couldn't get any better!
NEW ORDER one of the great bands born in 80´s.
