1:26:32 this part is so beautiful. A writer spending his time for his readers who love him and want to have a mistical moment with him. People who want to capture this in a photograph, people who want the ink of his pen on the copy of the book they have, some who want to cherish this moment by storing this memory in some special place in their heart, and then some who are seeing him from distance hoping that someday i will get to shake hands with this khoobsurat shaksiyat.
These two great writers are truly the pride of India.

I am from Pakistan. I don't know Exact status, however, Jadu word used by her mother in her letter to his father during 1935 and after. All letters are classical writing and published. I have read 2 volumes. Are available in India or not. I will read this book soon however JK himself gives opinion about book written after 80 years with the name of Jadu

Atika ji According to a report in India Today, at least 30 cases of Sati have been recorded in the country within the period of 1943 to 1987 in rajasthan only but when you said jab hamare desh mei sati chl ri thi u framed all hindus pls think before to speak. Coz numbers of cases in a particular state which has its history of johar and 40 crores was Hindus population in 1971.
I don't say it was practised by majority. But be mindful, number of "recorded" cases is 40, given the era and system it must be higher.

Problem with people like you is that you read less and you know very little, and intellect to bhul hi jao. Please correct yourself, in between 1947 and 1980 around 40 cases of Sati were "registered", nobody knows it could be higher. The last case of Sati was recorded in 1987 in Rajasthan, after that Sati prevention Act 1987 was enforced by govt of Rajasthan.
The last case of Sati was reported in 1987. So get your facts correct instead of blaming the whole world that the entire universe is after the sentiments of the majority population.
