  • We had the chance to take one of the new Ski-Doo 850 ETEC Turbo out into the backcountry of Wyoming. So why not give you a one on one review of what we think of the new sled and how this will be an amazing sled. Now we know that this will only bring back what us mountain riders have been missing from a stock platform. Also we all know that aftermarket kits will still be there, but for a stock sled this thing is truly amazing and will put smiles on a lot of faces.
Big special thanks to our local shop ADS Motorsports for allowing us to demo this Ski-Doo 850 EREC Turbo. These guys are truly the best dealer around. If you're local to the Utah, Wyoming or Idaho these guys can get you setup on a snow-check just parts and gear. Tell them the 801mtnriders sent you.

Heard some good reviews on this sled, good for Skidoo for stepping up into a market that will push the other brands to expand their technology.

Thanks for the comment, if you get a chance get with your local dealer and go demo one. They've hit this out of the park and I'm looking forward to see where they go from here.

801mtnriders buddies of mine have tried them and they really were impressed, I’m a cat guy but stock turbo sounds appealing. It’ll have to wait though, still recovering from back surgery.

I only spent a short time on the new 2020.5 Ski-Doo ETEC Turbo as a guest with the 801 crew in the Wyoming Backcountry. It was an amazing sled. I'll be at ADTripleS this spring Snow-Checking mine! Big thanks to the 801 guys for letting try the new Ski-Doo and hang with them all day.

Rhett, glad you had a good time and enjoyed the new Turbo. I'm sure next year we'll have some more of these in the group.

I ride a Ski-Doo 800 Rev 2010 is old but I like it, I used to ride a 2011 Polaris RMK 800 , but A pine tree got in my way and that was the and of that, it had a electrical start . I loved it, but is like they say "everything good comes to an and". You're ride looks good we are thinking next year we are getting newer sleds something not to heavy . I'm still thinking bout it maybe my husband will be the only one that gets a new snowmobile and I just keep this one. I will subscribe to your channel maybe I will learn something. Oh yeah I'm kinda stay on the trail I'm afraid to go of road .that's becouse I get stuck. 😉 I can't pull the cord to start my snowmobile, so I have to wait for my husbands to start it for me. Howdy from Wyoming 😘

Ideally I would love a 15"x165" summit expert turbo. They cold narrow the tunnel up and save a ton of weight there if they had a 15" wide.

      165

That's a 165 but at first glance it almost looks like 175. These new turbos are all based on the summit X expert platform, which has a shortened tunnel and come from the factory with a removable snow flap, making the track look long AF!
