To help your clay release from your butterfly cookie cutter instead of corn starch use plastic wrap on top of the clay. Press down on your cookie cutter on the plastic wrap which is on the clay and you will maintain your design and the clay won’t stick.

Hello. I just stumbled upon your CZcams channel.
I am a potter myself and also teach pottery courses.
These are really magical fairies. Well done.
I have a little tip for you if you cut out clay with cookie cutters.
What I use to achieve a clean cut and edge is a simple and efficient method so that the clay doesn't get stuck in the cookie cutter.
I always place some thin plastic wrap over the rolled out clay before using the cookie cutter.
You can use a thin shopping bag, for excample.
Unfortunately, this method doesn't work if you use a texture roller beforehand.
The pressure you put on the plastic film with the cutter will of course blur the stamped pattern.
You can always put a pattern on after anyway ;)
Maybe this could be an idea for you and you'll might give it a try.
    All the best to you.
    Keep up the great work!
A kindred spirit potter from Germany :)

I know people can buy your things but I'm in England so makes it difficult for pottery pieces. I wonder if you had this option and mentioned it on your videos that you are going to try this option rather than having adverts and see what the response is? I would love to contribute to you and nit have adverts spoil it. So glad you found me! I have relatives in Oxford and my family tree hails from Wales and Scotland. I'm not one to ask for donations, it's just not in me, and the only way to make all the work of editing/equipment/videoing worthwhile is to monetize the channel. Plus, there are so many people wanting to learn pottery but can't financially afford to take classes or purchase the expensive equipment to make doing pottery possible. Hopefully CZcams choses ads that you can skip through. CZcams controls what ads they put on the videos and I hope they don't go crazy. It's hard to make everyone happy, but I think if you subscribe to CZcams, like a cable channel, you don't have to see ads. I'm not totally sure about that, but it might be worth looking into. Thank you for reaching out and I hope you can get your hands dirty in the clay today.
