My friend and I have been theory crafting a bit recently about trying out some plant synchros. So far, we've opted to put in Marjoram as targeting protection. In the side we have Queen of Thorns. To account for the awkward levels, we've decided to run the main deck Marjoram. We're currently working on combos for the new build in hopes of getting out the synchro while also ending on Cactus Bouncer or Rosewhip.
Additionally, for XYZ, we've decided to go with Orea instead of Alsei. The ability to rearrange the top of your deck, setting up the bounce effect for a guaranteed "bounce 3" is too good going second.
The 2 Lonefire Blossoms are definitely unnecessary, 1 at most is okay (if you feel you reeeeeally need it, but again its still unnecessary). The addition of lonefire blossom was for 2 reasons: 1) a specific combo (which now no longer exists) that required Lonefire to tribute Lily to setup the summon of Regulus before Petal's effect (iykyk) and 2) a Small World bridge. 2 Lonefire Blossoms are just taking up potential non-engine space and normal-summon slots. I'd also cut the Loci's down to 2 and Sowing to 1, the "e-tele" of the 2nd Sowing doesn't come up as much as you'd think unfortunately, nice in theory though. The deck already struggles with non-engine space, so by cutting the 2nd Sowing, 3rd Loci, and Lonefires that opens up some non-engine space.

My biggest thing with the deck now, is that with no dryas resiliency, there is little to no room in the profile now for non-engine.
Loci at 3 is nice because it is still a 1-card combo. 1 sowing I feel isn’t enough still. Having the 2nd sowing has actually saved me in a lot of interactions. If dryas gets ashed or imperm’ed, having the sowing in hand is really nice, and is also an extra extender for the tribute mechanic in the Rikka engine for the grind game.
I do agree with Lonefire being at 1; however, I can’t see this deck being ran without small world. It’s way too consistent and unbricks hands way too much while providing some fresh resilience. So with that, I still run the 2 Lonefire for the bridge and additional loci.
In a 43-45 card profile, only having 7 normal summons isn’t horrible; this deck is high to mid-tier rogue now for a reason.
3 Borea and 3 Konkon is a little wild to me personally. That is way too bricky and does nothing for a lot of starting hands to play through hand traps.
When you have awkward hands, being able to go into jasmine - lonefire - tribute the jasmine for loci, is probably the main reason why you still need to play lonefire.
Love the deck man, I personally am trying it with aromage as well not just lupin to see what I can do, and there are some great boards where you can also put cactus on the board which is nice.

I like the list! The laurel seems like a nice tech plus it could always be sided out game 2/3 if needed. I also like the Alsei/Kanzashi. 3x Lilly seems kinda bricky but I will have to test it
Clean list, I haven't been playing the sunavalon package after the banlist, but yeah laurel doesn't change that much but plays another brick which isn't ideal. But I do like having a little bit of lenience in the ed

Technically, Laurel is not really a brick, you can still get 2 searches by summoning Healer instead of Thrasher and summoning Laurel as an extender if you have more LP than your opponent, then link it off with any plant monster. If you're able to summon it from deck instead, Healer can be done if you make double Melias and use Twin's effect to summon back the Jasmine (by banishing one of your Melias) to get the 3rd search and 900 additional LP 😊
@@Dygenguar I disagree, I consider a brick a card that’s less ideal to draw ie Laurel, Colloseum, Regulus, Primula, etc. You can still play sure, but it’s going to be worse into specific boards especially when this deck can search multiple times for these bricks. And at some point there’s just nothing meaningful to search.
I'll wait for the test hand combo, but i think its gonna be hard for you with 1 melias in the ED, try 2 at least to combo better, and with 3 its even better, i let you find out how, for instance DBG made à Quick combo vid for it
Besides i dont love to add more copy of jamsine and strenna when i dont think you need them, and i think its questionnable to still play 2 sowing as you will realisticly résolve one or zéro during à game

I've never ever needed or wanted a 2nd let alone 3rd melias. Appreciate the feedback though. Always interesting to hear new lines and techs
