    This is a great series
    Got the trades initially and thoroughly enjoyed the series and it’s twists and turns
    I’ve also got the three ‘absolute’ issues but this looks minting I liked the artwork as felt it fit the story perfectly
    Vaughn is a tremendous writer
    The omnibus edition looks awesome

      One of the all-time best comics IMO. Vaughan is a mastermind in the art of storytelling. Glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for watching!

      It’s definitely a classic comic story. Absolutely worth owning, especially in an oversized format. Glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for watching!

    How is the binding on this book? Is it too big to hold together? Do you think it’ll hold up over time?

    • @comicsandstuff616
      @comicsandstuff616  Před 4 lety +1

      It’s about how you’d imagine a 1400+ page book would hold up. It’s sewn binding, and there’s a bit of an eye hole, but it’s still very massive and hard to wield. It should hold up over time tho. DC may not have the best binding at times in terms of functionality, but they sure make them sturdy as hell

  • @superdragonz1
    @superdragonz1 Před 4 lety +1

    Idk I’m still not convinced with that binding looks really tight and I don’t want to put even more pressure when trying to read it.

    • @comicsandstuff616
      @comicsandstuff616  Před 4 lety +2

      I mean, it is kinda tight. That’s quite obvious. At nearly 1500 pages, a book is going to be like that. But it is still very well constructed. Very sturdy. If this seems too big to wield properly for you, then there are other options to read this series. Three Absolutes, 5 OHCs, and 5 TPBs are also available if you are worried about this book. I can tell you from personal experience, I’ve re-read the series in this omnibus format, and I had no problem with wielding it or with stress on the book itself. It’s really up to you on how you want to collect this amazing series. Thanks for watching and commenting

      Comics And Stuff So I bit the bullet and bought the Omni I’ve never had a problem with how big Omnis can get so I’m so excited to read it!

    Does anyone know the difference between the Omnibus and the Compendium version 🤔??

    • @comicsandstuff616
      @comicsandstuff616  Před 3 lety +2

      Any compendium will be a huge chunk of a series collected in one book. Really thick book, like an omnibus. But it’ll be like a standard size trade paperback, just extra thick. An omnibus is oversized, bigger than the standard floppy or trade. And it’s a hardcover. They make trade “omnibi” that are also thicker than a regular trade, but not as thick as a compendium. But usually when people talk about omnis, they’re talking about the hardcover, oversized format

      I own the series as the individual hard covers

    I’m thinking about buying this but I’m worried it will be uncomfortable to read due to the weight and size. Should I just bite the bullet?

    • @comicsandstuff616
      @comicsandstuff616  Před 3 lety +1

      If you want this amazing series in OHC format, I’m thinking yes. The absolutes are really nice, but they are $125 a pop. The deluxe editions are sweet as well, but they are becoming harder to find. The omnibus is still available on certain sites for a discounted price. It’s really up to you.

      @@comicsandstuff616 alright I’ll probably get this then although is there a lot of gutter loss in this? If it’s not that bad then I’m good.
