- Discover the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland with us as we travel around the island on a three-week tour along the Ring Road. Our journey takes us to Landmannalaugar, a geothermal area, where we hike through untouched nature, and visit the Black Sand Beach, which offers a dramatic panorama of rugged rocks and abundant wildlife. We also visit Studlagil Canyon, Hafragilsfoss waterfall, and Goðafoss waterfall, which we are lucky enough to see at sunset. The Diamond Beach, where ice blocks from Jökulsárlón glacier wash ashore, and Hverarönd geothermal area are among the highlights of our trip. We hike up Kirkjufell, which offers a panoramic view of the stunning volcanic landscapes of Iceland. The landscapes of Iceland are unique, fascinating, and simply indescribable.

Steven nicely put together video. Lots of drone shots. Could you please tell me what drone you used to capture these? Also what month were you travelling?
The pictures were taken in September 2022. A great time for a trip to Iceland. September is a low season in Iceland. There are not too many tourists and still the weather is good. I can only recommend this time. The pictures were taken with a DJI Air 2S.

The pictures are taken with several cameras. The drone shots with a DJI Air 2S and the ground shots with the Nikon Z6ii and a bmpcc 6k. Plus the Z lenses belonging to Nikon 20mm, 50mm and 85mm.
Absolutely beautiful. May I ask, what side did you hike to Hafragilsfoss from? This looks like a 'must do' hike for our upcoming trip in August.
Hi Juliet! Wow, I envy you that your trip in August is still ahead of you. Iceland is just a wonderful and indescribably beautiful island. There is a large parking lot at Dettifoss waterfall that you can use. From there it's about a 1.5 hour walk to Hafragilsfoss. The hike is well marked. But if you want, I can send you the route we took. It is definitely a must see! We were completely alone on this trail, because many people don't even know that there is another beautiful and powerful waterfall. Don't miss out on this incredible experience!

Fantastic video sequences! Might I suggest - lowering the music level when you're speaking, along with raising the audio levels of your voice? It was difficult to hear what you were saying with the loud music background :)

Hi and thanks for the compliments. Iceland is pretty straightforward about drone flying. Basically it is allowed to fly a drone in Iceland even without a permit. However, there are restrictions such as the maximum flight altitude of 120m etc.. There are also often places (mostly national parks) that are marked with a ban. These prohibitions must be respected. I can't say if there are special permits to be obtained there because I have never flown at such spots. But here you can find all the rules to follow: uavcoach.com/drone-laws-in-iceland/

wonderful pictures, music, and post-prod.Just one advice : you should remove the voice-off, it's useless ("we had the chance to see a waterfall at sunset"...well we can see that) and it breaks the magic. Compare without the voice-off, you'll see I'm right and you get a true cinematic film, which is excellent once again
Wow, thanks so much for your tip. You're absolutely right. Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees ;) . But I agree, that part of VoiceOver is superfluous. Unfortunately, I can't re-upload the movie, so this will have to stay that way with the voiceover for now. But thank you very much for the hint and try to pay better attention to it in the next film. Yes, the airplane wreck is highly recommended if you are ever in Iceland. It's a little bit haunted but beautiful. It is best to start early in the morning, otherwise you will have a lot of tourists.
