You wouldn't think a man that mostly sings in falsetto has such a low voice. Then again, if you listen to Richard Manuel sing and then talk in the last waltz, it makes sense.

That's what makes for a his really good falsetto. He keeps the body of the low end which gives it the masculine tone.
