- We traveled in our boat from Panama City Beach to Apalachicola down the intracoastal waterway for a weekend getaway to Florida's Forgotten Coast. In this video we show you how we got there, where we stayed and where we ate. We caught redfish on the OYSTER BARS that make this area famous and took a quick trip over to St. George Island.
This is a beautiful area of the Florida Panhandle and we highly recommend visiting by boat or vehicle to explore the town of Apalachicola and surrounding areas. The food, drinks and scenery are spectacular!

Love St. George Island
The channel is evolving nicely. I mainly came here for the 2400 TRS content but the destination footage is a great addition.
Thank you for the feedback! We’re getting new ideas as we head into the fall and winter season. We want to stay mostly within the 850 footprint but we will also be traveling outside of this creating new content. We appreciate you following us🙏
Thanks for sharing your adventure. That was awesome. 😊
Next time you make that run stop in to Port St Joe where the Florida State Constitution was written . It served as the state capitol until that was moved to Tallahassee . There is a restaurant at the marina and restaurants within the same distance that you covered in Apalachicola .
We plan on making that trip again in late August / September. We will be sure to check that out - thanks for the suggestion!
I truly enjoyed this video. We live in GB and have only traveled as far east as PCB by boat. I want to do a trip from here to Tarpon Springs. If you need a buddy boat we are ready. Swim suit calendar is a perfect idea.
Appreciate you watching! We keep getting these swimsuit requests…🤔 Thanks and hope to see you on the water!!
Cool Trip!
Another fantastic video The Reel 850!

Trip yang bagus, sangat menakjubkan
Nice trip I'm sure the night life on Fri. would be better but you are fortunate to travel during the week. No scalloping? Good video keep'em coming.
Wasn’t a lot of people there over the weekend but that was fine with us! Next weekend we are scalloping in Port St Joe- stay tuned!
Hello from Canada. I’m glad I stumbled onto your video. The last time I was in Carrabelle was 2020. I love the Apalachicola tour I definitely miss the oysters at up the Creek. Thanks for the memories. I’ll get back there soon
Glad you enjoyed our video! Hope you are able to come back down and enjoy the area soon!
You guys have got to go to Port St Joe to try the scalloping!
We are heading there next weekend! Stay tuned!
Love the videos. Maybe some background on you guys would be nice. Jobs, how you met, etc.
Love love love dog friendly places . St George was out last trip an caught fish all week off the beach with my wife an two sons with our 4 dogs . That's quality family time. Thanks y'all for sharing great content . God bless an safe travels .
It was a great trip and we love places we can take our dog. Thanks for watching!
I'm with you on dog friendly Florida Beach locations. The fewer the regulations, the better. Love St. George Island. A very friendly place. Love the people. Was there last year. Great family vacation. Anna Maria was a beautiful place. But way too many regulations and forbidden beach activities.😢
Just came across your channel and love it. We are a local sailing channel here in PCB. Great videos, I’m sure we’ll see you on the water one day
Thank you for watching and glad you found us! Be sure and say hi if you see us on the water!
Love Apalach!!! It's such a cool little sleepy town. Up the Creek is really good. So is the rest. in the Gibson and The Halfshell.
It was a great trip and we’re looking forward to going back and trying out some other places. Everything looked good!
Love y’all’s content and the fact we fish PCB also is awesome
great trip guys, is there a fuel dock near the hotel where ya stayed?
Yes there sure is - Scipio Creek Marina. Located a few hundred yards down from the hotel.
@@thereel850 perfect thank you
850 swimsuit fishing calendar can’t wait
👙🤘
Very cool video. We just watched this. My wife and I are gonna make this trip this coming weekend from PCB. Any further advice ? Thank you in advance.
Thanks for watching! We’re planning on doing it again in a few weeks too! My advice would be to watch for deadfall’s in the ICW - seems like when we made the trip there were a few just under the surface; also- only fuel is at Sippio Creek Marina; other fuel option is Mexico Beach Marina. If you’re running in St Vincent sound, be sure to use your chart - lots of oyster bars. Hope y’all have a great trip and appreciate you reaching out!
How many miles is that, I live in Lynn Haven might have to do that one weekend.
It was ~70-75 miles from Crooked Creek according to navionics. Took about 2 1/2 hours
So I normally go fishing off the old bridge at St. George Island. What fish will be running through there June, July and August?
I'm no expert in that area of FL (or any area) but my guess would be the usual - redfish, maybe black drum, mangrove snapper.
Those random sticks you encountered are FAD’s put out to attract tripletail. Fish those, not the oyster bars, next time you’re over.
Thank you for explaining that! I saw some buoys out there that we tried for triple tail but wasn’t sure what those random stakes were. Much appreciated and thanks for watching👊 Happy New Year
Ñ hello from Georgia do you go to Florida just to fosh
Never been thanks, also best 3 months to fish there?
That’s a tough question depending on species. I’d say you couldn’t go wrong in April, May and June but fall (October) would be great as well.
How’s the red tide been over there any yet this year?
Haven’t seen any in this area in several years now. If we get it, seems like it’s later in the summer months - Aug / September.
We haven’t had any red tide, if we do get it , it’s usually September/October.
