    I upgraded from an Evolve Bamboo S1 GTR to the Bamboo Hurricane. Worth the upgrade, although one thing I've seen so many people say about the bushings is that they are terrible, and after riding with the stock bushings, I can see what everybody meant. Bought some Independant 90A bushings so hopefully the carves should feel better.

    I’ve ridden a DKP Meepo Hurricane Carbon for almost 2 years now and I absolutely love it. I’m currently on 200mm pneumatics running a 66T pulley and 360 belts and it absolutely eats hills and rips. I’ll never go back to polys or hybrids. I do a lot of off-road riding and live in an area with a lot of steep hills. This is definitely the setup for me.

    The Ninja is a beautiful board but you can get the Propel GT right now for 999.00 through Black Friday. That's a heck of a deal and 200.00 cheaper than the Ninja.

      you can get the ninja only $100 more ( they have a black friday sell going still) new i went refurbished and got the bamboo hurricane for 899 free 4-5 day estimate of shipping just waiting on them to send it out for shipping as i ordered yesterday on Saturday

    distance would have been more without carving ive tested this with my board (a teemo board ive bought the hurricane yesterday waiting on it ofc) i got 5 extra miles without carving in galvaston vs carving 90% the way i still carve tho i love it but that does impact more then you think

    The ESC on the Hurrican can draw 55A from the pack. At nominal voltage of 44.4V you're looking at 2444W peak power before battery sag and resistive losses. Isn't there anything more interesting about the board but the max potential power spec on the motors?

    • @ASeSkater
      @ASeSkater  Před 9 měsíci

      Power + comfort + modularity + doesn’t break the bank

    • @RudeWolfy
      @RudeWolfy Před 9 měsíci +1

      Why not lead with that instead? Otherwise you're propagating a misleading myth that motor power spec has anything to do with actual power. Teach your community to know what's right so they know what to demand from the manufacturers. In the end we all get a better product that way!@@ASeSkater

    • @ASeSkater
      @ASeSkater  Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@RudeWolfy thanks for your input. It’s appreciated. Technically speaking the motors are dual 3500w. Though the output the esc will facilitate will be below that, in real terms the board is still very powerful under the feet and that is all that the average consumer will be fussed about I feel. It might be a point however to raise directly with manufacturers, to lead their motor specs on what can be generated from the esc and pack

    • @ajplant96
      @ajplant96 Před 9 měsíci

      @@ASeSkaterTbf when you have Meepo marketing 7000w motors and Hoyt marketing similar with Meepo’s esc running 55a and Hoyt’s albeit VESC based 190a that 7000w number is worth addressing more technically because that Hurricane isn’t performing anywhere near where a Tabor is.

      It’s a good board. I own one and it’s great for the money. It’s built like a tank, feels great and is fast. However. I do think 55amp is very disappointing. It should be 70amp minimum, but ideally 100amp on a board this size and weight. I feel like meepo are being a bit sneaky. Make more use of those huge motors and give you a more aggressive ride. After riding my Dads Hadean, it feels quite soft when it comes to acceleration.

    Please Ammar, we have to get the motor effect down more clearly. The wattage of the motors tells us what the motor COULD give and even more so take. They could give this power but will be limited by the battery, BMS and motor controller. Saying is a board is powerful based on the wattage of the motors is something the companies want you to do since it is easy to supply. Not saying this boards is not powerful.

  • @ESKATEUK
    @ESKATEUK Před 9 měsíci

    Love my hurricane ninja. Just a bit disappointed it now uses a 50amp ESC. That’s way underpowered for the kind of board it is. Don’t get me wrong it’s fast and certainly powerful enough. But it just does not have the monstrous kick my dad’s Evolve Hadean has. The hurricane should come with a 70amp ESC MINIMUM.

    • @ryank2780
      @ryank2780 Před 5 měsíci

      Is there a way you can swap the esc for a more powerful one and bring out its full potential?

    • @ESKATEUK
      @ESKATEUK Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@ryank2780 yeah I think you can, you’d need a custom ESC. Not sure how to do it myself, but might look into it one day. It would make the board twice as powerful, the motors aren’t getting anywhere near the power they could get.

    How is a 7kw skateboard street legal here in blighty? Aren't we perpetually lame with not letting people have fun? Did something change?

    • @ajplant96
      @ajplant96 Před 9 měsíci

      Idk about local laws there but suppose it could be argued that the motors being rated for 7kw doesn’t mean the for the most part 2kw board is hitting crazy numbers like that anyway. In Queensland, Australia where I’m from our local laws were anything over 250w was illegal a few years ago, now it’s a speed based system instead so 25kph on bike paths, 12kph on footpaths/share paths unless signed otherwise (I know 12kph is less than ideal but in heavy foot traffic zones fair enough.)

    • @cho4d
      @cho4d Před 9 měsíci

      @@ajplant96 the law here, as far as i know, is 250 watts, ebikes only. literally everything else is illegal. onewheels. skateboards. scooters. 500watt ebikes. you name it. it's only because our local police here don't give a fuck and accept that the law is stupid that i can ride my onewheel.
