I grew up in Europe. I love it. We were stationed in Germany from 72 to 96. Best years of my life. We traveled everywhere. When my dad was doing his genealogy research we spent a lot of time in cemeteries playing on the playgrounds while they met people we were related to. I got to go to East Berlin before and after the wall came down. My brother lived in East Germany after the wall came down and he lived in the guards quarters of an old castle that was made into apartments. Roman forts, medieval castles and tons of other things. School field trips to other countries etc. It was an amazing place and time to grow up.đ
Hi Laura, did you know that Sweden is vintage heaven? There are many second hand stores here, many are called 'loppis". I live in Sweden for 2 years and love thrifting here! Love your videos!

Your new travel venture is one of the things you were born to do and no doubt you will do it in your own inimitable way! I celebrate Hanukkah and I believe the significance of the two stars is for the two Shabbat candles that are lit during the first evening of Hanukkah. The two stars represent the star of King David from the Bible. I'll be celebrating Hanukkah again this year with my Mother. đđșđžđźđ±
We (Jewish people) light two candles on Shabbat, which falls on Friday of every week at sun down. It's not specific to Shabbat during Chanukah. That candle holder is for Shabbat specifically đ It is Judaica. Very beautiful.
The plate for the escargot looks like the ones I bought in Soufflenheim France in Alsace. The town is full of potters and beautiful pieces. The style is common type of pottery from there.

Hi:) as a Jewish person, I'm not aware of any specific meaning to two Stars of David. We light two candles for Shabbat every Friday evening, so you will find many pairs of candle holders in Jewish artifects, and I guess in this case the artist decided to attach them together and put this Jewish symbol on each one.

Landmarks and flea markets ! I would love to travel but alone is scary. A group sounds fun!!
Weâre going on our first group travel next month to Morocco and weâre so excited to share the experience with others đ„° I had always wanted to go there but when the group trip (hosted by a friend of mine) came up, Jesse and I jumped on it. Since booking that weâve watched so many group travel vlogs on CZcams and it really seems like an incredible experience sharing and bonding over the adventures! â€ïž Hope you can join us one of of our group trips next year!

I have the optical crystal cubes also. I call them reservable. One side taper and the other for a fatter candle.

HI! Don't know if you'll get this, but I hope your hip replacement went well and you are having an easy recovery!! I fell right outside my doctor's office in February and broke my hip and had a replacement done then.
@@bethbenditt9489 yes, thank you for asking. Went in one day and out the next day. Since I already had the other hip done a few years ago I knew what to expect. This time was a lot easier and I am recovering fine.đ„°

We were in Europe from April to September this year with Zagreb, Croatia as our base. It was hot, beautiful but very long in Europe. The best flea market, to me, was in Zagreb. I wished then, as I wish now, that I had an eye for the good stuff. Unfortunately we were already overweight with our luggage, even with buying extra luggage. I bought just a few bangles for my personal use. They had so many many vintage things, many were brass and copper. And the prices were quite reasonable.

I too wish I could do the trip with you and Jesse. You will make fabulous tour guides. If I could travel I would ike to include theatre into the mix for the evening entertainment. Hi! The floral pottery you found is from Alsace France. It comes in different colors. While stationed in Germany my mission was to search for as much vintage pieces as I could! Theyâre wonderful! Youâll have to go on your next trip and find some. They go as back as the 1800âsâ€ïž My crack head has so many pieces! đ

Ah that's dope. You'll have a bomb time. This is something I would LOVE. I think adding in historical tours and something to do with food would be beautiful additions to thrifting.
Be sure to include an age range. I did this before and they host didn't specify and two small children were brought along. Poor things were miserable.

We have an antique mall in my town (Omaha, NE) called Brass Armadillo!!
Seeing the Brass Armadillo reminded me of a shop that I go to near Kansas City Missouri. It is called the Brass Armadillo and itâs a wonderful large flea market.

I'm saving money to go back to College but I it would be so awesome to travel with you & your hubby. I think doing a bike tour of the Street Art would be great. If you go to Paris in Spring you can check out the Cherry Blossoms in bloom. I really enjoyed seeing the Aquarium, Museum of Vampires, & Paris Sewer Museum. I loved the Dark City Secrets Walking Tour & watching the sunset from the steps at Sacre-Coeur Basilica. I apologize if I misspelled any of those places. Lol.

Even though I live in Europe myself, I would even join on this trip. Unfortunately I still have a small child and she doesn't like thrifting much, (at home okay, for 2 hours thens its done) let alone all day lol :D . Your double candle holder is whatâs called a Shabbat candle holder. Sabbath candle holder for a Jewish ceremony that is done on Fridays to welcome the sabbath. Religious article.
