Thanks you for your comments! I do my best to keep up with them for the first few days after a video comes out, but due to the volume of comments on all of my videos, and to the general hustle and bustle of life, I must give up the fight after a while. If you are leaving a question four or more days after a video comes out I can't guarantee I'll see it, but perhaps one of my other viewers knows the answer and can help out. Thanks in advance to those who contribute and share their knowledge. Cheers and stay safe everyone!

If Erik Buell had stayed on as Harley Davidson's chief engineer, this bike would have debuted in 1988.
LMFAO. NO!! Not in 1988, Harley ownership had no patience or interest in throwing big money down the drain on radical designs that did not fit their demographic or image. Buell's problem was, and still is, that he always wanted to push the envelope instead of making gradual innovations to improve the design in a cost-effective and mass-producible way.
Even Victory and Indian wanted nothing to do with him when they were designing their products.
Erik Buell is the black hole of motorcycle investment money. He is always 3 steps behind the Japanese, Italians, and Germans, and never has an affordable product for the main market that buys the sport-bikes he is competing against. He also has no dealer network that wants to carry his product.
Get off the Erik Buell cult of failure bandwagon already!
@@repealthepatriotact Wow, a whole letter. Too bad you didn't understand the first word 'If' and all it's implications.
@@yesicanu Nope, I'm good. Apparently YOU are the one struggling with the definition of a 2-letter word. Good luck on your recovery....
This is a fantastic FXR homage with proper modern Buell components. I can't wait to buy one. Roland Sands hit this one out of the park.
Yep, I have to say, the guy turned a sport bike into a cool cruiser. Cudos to him.
Isn’t this a concept bike? Can you buy one?
@@DifferentSpokesTV I remember a guy in upstate Ny who was turning FXR’s into sport bikes back in the early 90’s. Running an inverted front fork with hi-performance brakes and the works. He was the brother or had some connection to Sumax if my memory is correct
@@Alexanderyhwong yes, delivery's starting 2025 hopefully, per their website. They have an online pre-order open.
$20K + in price for 175hp, weighs less than 500lbs, and looks wicked asf. Performance built with cruise-able ergonomics. I’m sold man I’d sell both my bikes for this. I’d never outgrow the 175hp. This would be my final bike!
Man If it’s any where near to 20k I’m selling my low riders 😂 for this
I can say I'm sold already too. This is exactly what I want for way cheaper then I could build a harley for
Phwarken Unit. Why pay a fortune for a new Harley Davidson Low Rider S Screaming Eagle 135 stage 4? Sold me man. Perfect power cruiser with limited need. For only minor cosmetic mods for personalisation. This will be my last bike. I may be one of the first to buy one in Orstraya.
same here. i only ride mx, and now i want one of these lol. thing is so damn awesome
I agree I just need to save up for it I'm comfortable on hd lowrider s but it's under powered im ready for the next step and I think this is it
and unlike the Harley-Davidson Revolution Max this new Buell motor looks good from both sides
Yes, it's a bit of a surprise Harley can't do a better job on the left side. How do Indian and Buell get it done but not Harley?
Sounds better too.
I am blown away. It is incredible what can be accomplished by men of vision with everyone staying out of the way. Bravo.
what vision, this looks exactly like the same cruisers everyone else build, just with a Superbike engine in it.
@norseman5041 Well, it's not a normal cruiser or superbike. Both those have been done a billion times already. They're boring. There are sporty cruisers out there like the Rocket 3 or the Diavel, but they feel more like a naked bike than a cruiser. They also look like crap.
@@johncarl5505 LMAO....you think the Rocket 3 and the Diavel look like crap compared to the Buell Super Cruiser? WTF are you smoking? It is an unfinished, poorly-styled bike that needs an Italian designer to fix.
Men of vision tend to bankrupt companies without adults in the room. Men of vision cannot comprehend budgets, financing, demographics, marketing, dealer networks, warranties, etc.
And that's exactly why the "man of vision" Erik Buell's ventures all went bankrupt and why he will also bankrupt the all new group of investors that were fooled into throwing their money away on a niche market bike that will sell few units, and never make a profit.
Their are several superbikes out there that will equal or beat the Hammerhead with a large dealer and service footprint, and for less or equal money. Yamaha, Kawasaki, Ducati, BMW, Aprilia are all companies with deep pockets that Buell will have to face.
If none of the big names wanted to team with him, why would you buy a bike from him, unless you wanted a unicorn piece to show off with, or as a collector's item after the company fails?
If you are a millionaire, then YES, grab one and beat the hell out of it on the street and on the track.
I am done with Harley. This bike has my attention, Big Time. I love the seating position. It's more like a Naked.
It does look like it can handle. Roland Sands said he had to tweak the steering angle around to get it right, but apparently it turns well and the pegs and exhaust look like they have plenty of clearance.
Same. They try to sell me a bike every time I go in just for parts. Like bro do I really look like I want to pay 15k in interest alone on a bike they don’t give you an option to buy cash?
That is definitely one of the coolest-looking bikes I've seen in a LONG time!
Keep all the bells & whistles. Gimme that thing.
As a former Buell owner & currently ride a 91 FXR the super cruiser is just plain Badass !!!!!!
Nice topic. I owend a Buell late 90's early 20000, and know a lot of the people that were with Erik when he started building Buells.
He was misserably stabbed in the back buy HD. Erik is an awesome engineer and a visionair.
The bike looks great. I have spend a lot on an old 2002 Dyna with a stage IV kit to make it 80lbs lighter and look sort of like this 😁😁
Exactly. The Dyna crowd will love this bike out of the box with no compromises.
How’d you go about making your Dyna lighter?
@@dylancoric1194 lithium battery and bst carbon fiber wheels.. because of reducing unsprung weight those two things are the equivalent of dropping 100lbs of sprung weight.
Gave me a full rager the second I saw it. Love it. Take my money
HA! All those shots of the Red X1 limited edition being rode in the tunnel was my bike. You can tell by the painted red tail section that did not come from Buell. I also loaned it to those guys for the commercial shoot and was there for it. So cool to see that footage again.
I love it ! In my perception Roland Sands did a fantastic job with the frame and the overall design of the bike. The stance is bit like a lowered Supermoto.
175 hp is pretty insane, not sure about the breaks though.
As much as I appreciate the Super Cruiser I couldn't deny the Diavel V4.
It would be fun run both of them down a canyon road.
The brakes will stop you faster than most dual disc setups.
Just saying.
Diavel is garbage
I have the same brake on my 07 lightning and it's the best motorcycle front brake I've ever used.
I actually have a 1991 FXR, I'll sell my FXR and use that money to put a down payment for that new 2025 Buell Super Cruiser !!! Thanks for sharing this, I didn't know about this.
Something I can ride that won't get passed by an old 400 Yamaha
😂
" There's no hiding that radiator"
Paint it the same black with the rest of the bike, and it will nearly disappear.
It's pretty slim so you may be right. I have to say, I like the industrial brushed aluminum look.
@@DifferentSpokesTV Me Too! But I would give the customer an option to paint it black to match the bike.
😎 yessss, in the 90’s I test drive the Buell X1 white lighting and fell in love with it but could not afford it. I have never driven a bike with that cool looks. Beautiful sound and amazing handling again. It was perfect. 😍
I hate HD, but like you, so I'm watching.
This is not a Harley. It's a Buell, not affiliated with The Motor Co.
@@ronlheureux7623 it's a HD
A potato on wheels - agreed haha. Cool video! As a Fat Bob fan I'm sure this will take a fair portion of the owners who went for that bike mainly for the performance. However I do think the heritage styling of all the M8s is more refined and 'bad boy cool' in a way that H-D does best ;)
True. The m8 is sick. But man this checks so many boxes including some of that hooligan look haha
I bought a 2022 Ducati Diavel 1260S. It has 160hp. I'm sure that Buell will bring a smile to everyone's face when they twist the throttle. Personally, I like the styling of the Ducati much better. Though I think the Buell is much better looking than the Triumph Rocket 3. I'm guessing the Buell is definitely going to be more nimble. The Buell looks to me like they saw the success of the Diavel and decided to make it better by giving it more HP and shedding quite a few pounds of weight. If they go with an Ohlins suspension or something on par, it will be a great performer.
By the time any new Buell bikes ship, the excitement will be a vague memory.
I’m one of those naked bike dudes mixed equally as what one would call “Dyna Bro”. This thing is gonna change the entire game. People will start dropping v twin sports and V4’s into fxr frames now. Biggest thing, Harley blew it by letting this go to Buell. They’ve been known to sleep on shit when they’ve always had the silver platter but complacency is the root of all evil and they’re now gonna get hit hard cuz of this.
My first bike I ever bought was a brand new 2008 buell firebolt. Now I own a 2013 Roadglide. I'm definitely going back to Buell after watching this video! I gotta have this bike!
I couldn't have said it better myself. This is so cool to see!
That looks incredible. Love it! Most likely wont arrive to my country and wont have the money for it. But I am super happy it exists.
To each their own.. It looks just ok to me and I’m not ‘blown away’ !!
175hp is not something you look at.
@@mr.b3168 I was primarily referring to ‘not being blown away by its looks’..
Secondly, I belong to ‘why do cruisers need insane power ?’ Category, so I’m content with 61 horses on my $10K Kawasaki Vulcan S !
@@sathishrao7926 😂Then that's what you keep. You probably couldn't handle 175 hp anyway. Out of your league and price range.
Cool, hope the dyna bros like it. I will stick to my vintage cruisers.
It was in motorcycle news this week over here in the uk… Its brilliant- who can’t Admire Erik- hope it sells like mad ..
It looks virtually identical to my 2000 Victory Sport Cruiser mid pegs and all.
Yeah, Victory made some cool bikes back in the day.
Love my 07 Jacklot
With Mid Controls I am Interested. The Joy of blowing away 131 CI Harleys with ease will be a Pleasure..
It looks light too so it should handle.
@@DifferentSpokesTV 450# The Buell Factory had a Group ride from Grand Rapids to Muskegon for the Bi Annual Professional Hill Climb. A Buell took the National Championship last year. I didn't know about the event until two days after or I would have gone.
czcams.com/video/tM2Jr6E5nZY/video.html
@@DifferentSpokesTV Any idea what it weighs looks light ?
A properly built Evo Sportster will blow away a 131. This thing is going to be beyond nuts.
Mr. Sands is nothing short of a genius. 👍❤🙏🦅
Lots of talk about this bike already, my Harley friends are very excited as well as the cruiser people.
Not my cup of tea but that’s why there’s 100’s of flavours of ice cream.
If this bike comes to market as shown and specified I’m sure it will be a success.
As always, thanks for another great video.
Thanks for the comment!
I put 50 down, and I’ll ride back to Wisconsin
Dam I can't lie that bike looks SICK AF! I have a 2022 lowrider s and I would never ever even think of buying a Buell motorcycle till I just seen this one dam I LOVE IT!!! Amazing job on that bike I tip my hat! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯
Over 200 lbs lighter then the vmax, close enough in power and putting more of the power to the ground because of the chain drive. This might be the new quarter mile king of the cruisers.
I always wanted a Buell. This may be my first ever Buell. I dig it
Been a hardcore "buy a used Harley Guy" all of my 55 years. Grew up in the biker world and a few bikes got respect from bikers other than Harley. Triumph, old flat track Moto guzi and Buell. So I've owned a couple of Buells. On purpose. For different reasons than I ride Harley. Great bike. Well enginered for it's purpose. Now it looks good as well. Gonna check it out for sure.
I'm stoked for this! Hope they make a production flat track bike aswell
Looks amazing. With the exception of that radiator and rear fender. Could use some love but other than that, I love it!
Years ago I test rode and almost bought a xb12xt. It was an awesome bike. Unfortunately the seller was sketch and I walked away. I still think about that bike now in 2023. Simple, raw, exciting. I'll be watching Buell for sure.
My favourite bike to this day is still the 2009 Buell Ulysses that I had, great handling bike and comfortable for all day riding. I traded it in for my 2021 HD Pan America. I was very sad to see it go but some parts were starting to be hard to get so it was time.
I remember how cool those bikes were back in the day. A sport bike with a big, air cooled cruiser engine. They definitely got attention.
Best bike Buell built was the XB12STT. That bike could do bit of everything. Still wish I hadn’t sold mine.
Really nice looking bike. Thanks for a great video.:)
Thank for the comment!
I like it and hope they do well. Hopefully the production version will be maybe even better. 👍👍
Here in the UK Buells are not a common sight. I had a '96 S1 Lightning and loved it's style, raw edged power and quick handling.
Love the car and the look, sadly it belongs in a museum!
Great job on the video. I truly hope Buell does well.
His lawyers told him that his agreement with Harley-Davidson was the equivalent of indentured servitude. They made him sign a paper saying that he went through with it against their advice. I don't need 175 horsepower that belongs on a racetrack not on a street. How about a normal amount of horsepower and 175 miles to the gallon instead. I can imagine the maintenance cost for a motorcycle that makes 175 horsepower. My 77 horsepower BMW 100 / 7 runs 100 miles an hour at 5000 RPM smooth as silk. It's all day cruising speed of 6250 still 1500 RPM short of Redline. I like the old line of Buell sport bikes. I just rode a Buell Blast and thought it was a nice little motorcycle so a little overpriced. I test r o d e one of the Sportster based motorcycles and it was incredible the horsepower to breaking and the handling I could spend a fortune on my Sportster and not make it as good as Buell. The Buell was the Hulk and my Sportster was Bruce Banner. That's how big a difference there was.. the Buell Ulysses was a much better adventure bike than the Pan America. Harley cut their own throat when they canceled the line.
First impression, I love it. And to answer your question at the end, no I don’t trust Buell. They have horrible timing. Another market crash is on the horizon 😂
Fantastic bike, great video! 👍
thanks for a great video, really enjoyed it !!
I was so mad when harley nixed the dyna, ill never buy a bike new from a dealer, but this bike could make my change my mind.
Man this thing just has an awesome aggressive look! This thing will make your sticker peck out!
Nice video man. Erik Buell is one of my heros. I have a sportster with a s1 lightning motor in it. I have beat the living shit out of it for over 100k miles. Still running hard, although it has been on the lift getting a rebirth. It deserves it after what I've put it thru. It's basically this super cruiser without mono shock swing arm. And not quite the ponies. But still. I also have a s2 thunderbolt, and as of recent a 2010 Ulysses. Like I said...Erik Buell is a genius. Harley only now coming out with what he did 25 years ago. They are f_c$ing dumb. Short of king of bagger race bikes. Indian and now Buell once again are smokin them. That being said, I still love my Buellster.
P.S. side note.. Roland Sands is creative genius and epic bike builder. Mucho respect. What he and Ronan have done with Buells are epic. Much respect.
Totally agree with your assessment.
Wow! That’s what a performance cruiser is supposed to be! If that was a Harley, I would absolutely be buying one! Why if Harley? Parts and support. There’s two Harley dealerships in my city alone and at least one in every other town around here! Not to mention aftermarket choices galore. Being a Buell/Roland Sands, I probably won’t actually buy it, but just drool over pics and videos of it. Awesome looking bike! I love it!!
Yes, Harley should be taking note. That's how you build a cool bike.
My concern too.
That is one good looking motorcycle.
It looks light and very good handling 175 hp yes i would love one even at a older age.
as someone who owns a dyna now and has owned many harleys in the past and currently has a 2014 EBR 1190rx in my garage I can say buell builds amazing bikes I love the digital dash my EBR has similar to the one in this new super cruiser and I love that it doesn't have all the electronic aids to interfere with the riding experience just raw power and takes a experienced rider to ride it but I love my "dyna bro" dyna and probably will never part ways with it but this new buell has the best of both worlds and I believe it is gonna change the motorcycle industry as far as harley goes when it comes to performance handling power and price most of all harley will be taking notice and see hoe this changes stuff they produce as for me I already have put a deposit down and am looking forward to see this in production and I personally love that it is a 4-2-2-1 exhaust and am just curious where the water pump is when comparing it to the 1190 maybe it will even have a electronic water pump idk but this is gonna be a game changer
I will definitely check this one out.Thought my new Fat bob should be faster,so this could fit the bill.
I owned an XB9R and a P3 Blast. Both were fun as a barrel of monkeys.
Buell needs a hit bike like this to roll out before Indian and Harley get ideas.
The bikes design looks superb kinda reminds me of an Arch Motorcycle. I hope the after market parts for the Buell Super Cruiser are easier to access once the units are out for sale.
This bike is the one !!! New FXR
never wanted a particular bike so much in my life. 2017 Low Rider S was the last bike that came close
OK Sign Me Up!!!! Where can I put my deposit down man. Nice work Roland.
Awesome bike RSD done a great job, I just hope it makes it into production..
Yes, it's always a toss up with these start ups.
If buell gets enough pre-orders, this bike comes to market. If it's anything short of what they unveiled, it will be disappointing.
With that said, it's not just dyna bros that will flock to this bike. As a former Vmax owner, this bike is right up my alley and I know a lot of current Vmax owners would ride a bike like this.
If the price is 22k or under, it's a winner.
450lbs
175hp
The only thing this bike will need is options for people to customize.
I would buy one in a heart beat. Deep down I think I know we’ll never see these actually available though, sadly.
If I can recall Buell was taking Deposits for Delivery for bikes in 2022 now that has been pushed back to 2023 or even 2024 ..
So Roland Sand's Built one in 2023.. I guess Buell will make the Jigs and have them in Production for 2025. I live 60 Miles from the Factory. I will ride my 2008 Buell up there when I am sure the snow is gone and check them out!
Nice! You'll have the inside track.
You'll get the inside scoop!
they said 2025, so would that be mid 2024, since models always come out before its manufacture year????
This is exactly what I’m looking for
Love your videos, very informative. I guess the geography of the country effects the teast in motorcycles, as i cant understand you CA and US rider worship to these heavy simple suspensions bikes. Eric Buell designs were shining stars
totally agree. hope they do well with.
Impressive HP,I like it & I have a busa & 14r
ITS A BEAUTY LOVE IT! DONT KNOW WHY IT NEEDS TO TAKE 2 YEARS TO COME INTO THE MARKET!
I’ll take one. Awesome looking bike.
Great video! Back in 2013 Big Bear had an FXR based super cruiser that had some awesome suspension components to enhance the bike's geometry, along with brakes and driveline. But, they were pretty pricey. This latest rendering based on the FXR is better and affordable.
"Nobody will care if it doesn't sound like a Harley, because it isn't a Harley." And yet, it's trying its hardest to look like a Harley. I like it, it's a great looking bike, if I had that kind of money, I'd be tempted. But imho it looks too much like an FXR. It has no soul of its own, it just looks like any other custom FXR made to show off at SEMA to display some new custom aftermarket suspension. And I think the better question isn't, will they ship in 2025, but rather even if they do ship, will Buell still exist in five years to supply spare parts for them.
Cool video man . I like the bike , then I remembered the RSD tax.
He's got a name and will charge for it :)
This looks serious bad ass!
This is now my dream bike
As a former 2005 Buell owner, I would welcome this one on the European market
Nice looking bike and as for not getting the dealership experience, well that has to be a good thing when you think about H-D's 'stealerships' ! greetings from England and I totally agree with the 'aircraft carrier' comment about Rocket 3's - they ain't like the ones from the late '60s are they ?
I pray Buell can pull this off.. its proper for him to get the torch from harley now. I'd buy one rt this moment.
Awesome video and love to Spike👍 with somebody 6 foot four be comfortable on his bike🤔
Amazing looking bike and the rotax engine sounds legit.
Doubt we’d get it in NZ tho. No mention of abs etc which is a requirement now.
Got that very popular tv show club bro styling for sure
F**k yes. The only improvement I could think of would be DUAL perimeter brakes.
Had six Buell’s over the years…still have a works race bike…can’t wait 👍
Calling the xDiavel a potato with wheels is gold. Glad someone else thinks that thing is absolutely fugly.
Rocket 3 better looking, but it's a boat. Same with the VMAX. I never liked the M109R. There really hasn't been anything in the power cruiser segment that's gotten my juices flowing since the Night Rod.
Like Motus, I think its an uphill battle.
20k is not unreasonable. The Low Rider is that, but with that, you do have dealer network support. That to me is the achilles heel. Buell just doesn't have the network.
Motus was very interesting. They had a shop contact them, and they would send very specific details on how to repair if needed. Warranty was honored through them for work carried out by a qualified repair person.
They were pretty pricey bikes at 30k.
Hopefully those that put a deposit down actually get their dream bike! (Squints in Norton ;) )
Pretty cool bike, I don't like the handlebars, to high imo. I'd NEVER give a deposit to an invisible company that doesn't have a front door I can walk thru but I do hope they make a successful comeback.
That’s the risk. Yes good point.
Kinda wondered what happened to Buell. Great review.
Thanks. Erik Buell is now working on Fuell bikes.
Purely from looks standpoint, it would look better with 19" front wheel and with a bit smaller rear fender. To me it looks very ass-heavy. Rear swingarm sticks out like a sore thumb too. And whole engine situation looks unfinished. Radiator thing is super nice though.
In Florida it is mandatory by law a chain drive by must have a chain guard. I don't know what it is for other states.
I like it but I also got a 22 fxlrs last year, love the looks of the new buell but know nothing about it’s reliability or where you’d even take a buell to get serviced
Very nice looking bike
As an 1190RX owner that hopes this company stays in business... Not the bike for me, but I hope it sells like hotcakes!!
Amazing how many bikes they've build out of that one engine. Your bike will still leave it on a twisty road though.
Hooray! Too expensive for me though
Yes, same here. The channel would have to 10x for me to afford that toy :)
This shit looks so hard with the slim tube chassis it’s like a Harley and Ducati had a baby
Damn, I’m in love. I just got a serious case of the I wants.
They won't be able to keep up with production. EVERYONE will want one... Would have loved to have seen it come to fruition by Harley and Eric as the evolution of the FXR with the M8
Fair call. But the M8 is in desperate need of re-engineering. Water cooling and camless cases with freevalve Koenigsegg heads. One could reduce the length of the cylinders while increasing the stroke. For a bigger say 153 cubic inch capacity. With ultimate computerised value control.
if they really end up being around 20k, they will sell the shit of these. soo badass
See harley, It can be done! No more excuses
