This song, much like most of the album, was based off of the Stephen King novel series "The Dark Tower." "The Crimson King" was the bad guy in that series, and also tied into, like, thirty or forty other novels that he wrote. Other songs on the album included "The Gunslinger," which had specific lyrics from a song in one of the books, and "Terror Train," which was a direct reference to, I think, either the end of the third novel or the start of the fourth. It's been a while since I read the whole lot, but I was pretty hyped that they did a metal album based on them. Most of the other songs were tangentially referenced in the books as well. And mind you, there were, like, fifty books or something that tied into the series in the end...
Side project for Hansi and Jon. They've released three albums and have disbanded as of 2021. Pretty decent stuff.
D&W Rules!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
So this song and a few others from this album are based on Stephen King's Dark Tower series
Not a Power Metalhead myself. I give them props on the creativity and riffs though. Im neutral on power metal for the most part, I can jam it or miss it. Thumbs up for the metal though
I don't often find folks who have this degree of candor and humor in their channel. Strong kudos, good sir. Subscribed and proudly so.
Unless you know it already, knowing your appreciation for Coroner, I strongly recommend Die By My Hand from Coroner's No More Color album. I think you'll really like it, given your appreciation for their use of unusual syncopation, not to mention that it kicks a significant amount of gluteus maximus.
I think you got most of your answers in the bio, but yes - that is a Led Zep remake. And if you want to hear Hansi in full-on Blackie Lawless mode, check out the D&W song "Midas Disease".
I got to see these guys in concert a few years ago. I have been going to concerts since 1981, and this was one of the BEST concerts I have ever seen.
This album - including this song - is mostly about the Dark Tower series (Stephen King).
Check out the Waken version of "Fiddler on the Green"
I would have loved if D&W had awesome solos to complement these great compositions

Awesome stuff. Diabolic worth a listen.
Definitely not Christian
Definitely not for me. The drums almost sounded like a drum machine, no soul. Lol oh & I hated the vocals.
