  • All right, the Joovv GO 2.0 Red Light Therapy Device is a wonderful product. This is our inboxing & quick look & first impression video. Stay tuned!
    Here are Alex's first impressions:
    ✅ Handheld & battery-powered device that you can use ANYWHERE, ANYTIME!
    ✅ Can be used without connection to the electric grid
    ✅ Manual with very extensive details on exactly how to use the product
    ✅ 12 LEDs of 660 and 850nm wavelengths. There's both red and near-infrared light in there!
    ✅ Smaller unit than the Joovv Go 1.0, so there's more power density
    ✅ BlueTooth powered, if you wish so.
    ✅ Case and eye protection glasses. Block 93% of red light, 43% of infrared.
    ✅ 5.5 hours charging time
    ✅ Pulsed red light & infrared light therapy option!
    ✅ Combination lights in BOTH LEDs
    ✅ Ambient lighting function
    ✅ Tracking some of your options through the app
    ❌ DOWNSIDE: you have to use the Joovv app to use some functions.
    ❌ DOWNSIDE: not 100% user-friendly!
    ❌ DOWNSIDE: OVERCOMPLICATED?
    But, overall, we're VERY impressed! The Joovv GO 2.0 is a VERY solid product that offers tons of options not seen in the previous smaller red light therapy niche!
    You might not know that red light therapy has the following science-backed benefits:

    ✅ Gain muscle mass
    ✅ Burn fat

    If led therapy device is ok to use with retinal (vitamin A skincare) products? for example using retinal skincare in the evening ans in the morning using LED lamp? Retinal is making skin light sensitive and this is why I ask, although LED light has different wave length

      Hi Kri, yes, you should be able to use retinol the normal way that it's prescribed by a doctor or dermatologist. I will say, however, and this is not medical advice, that it's really important to also get some high-quality vitamin A (hence: retinol for many people) through your diet. If you're not getting sufficient retinol in your diet, then putting it on your skin is probably not the best strategy to engage in. Hope that helps!
      And: retinol literally helps protect your body against sunburns and exessive sunlight expsoure, and is necessary to create vitamin D, among others, so I consider it not only benign but very beneficial. -- Bart from team Alexfergus

    Hi, I'm on my second broken Joovv Go, Anyone else have this problem, it will work for awhile and then it just dies (won't take a charge, can't power it back up) it just dies for no reason (I've tried everything). Never dropped it, never got it wet, don't use it more than two, 10 minute sessions a day. The only thing I can think of that I might do that might be out of the ordinary is that I keep it in my bedroom and when it chargers the light bothers me when I sleep, so I occasionally throw a T-shirt over it when it charges (but I can't imagine that would mess it up). It's getting frustrating, I do notice some improvement while using it, but I can't go through them breaking this often. They sent me a new one after I returned the old one, but now I'm guessing I'll need to go through that process all over again.

      Ahh bummer. I know this was a concern of many people when the Joovv Go 1.0 was released. Joovv had a shorter warranty period compared to their mains powered panels, and many believed this was because of the battery life.
      I personally haven't used my Joovv Go 1.0 or 2.0 enough to see issues with batteries.
      It's good that Joovv replaced it, did they give you an explanation as to what may have went wrong?
      Sorry I can't help though, maybe someone else watching/reading this can chip in with their experiences?

    With ambient can I use it as a full-time (few hours) red room light while docked? or is that limited to 10 minutes too.

    Do you know the lifespan of the LEDs on this device?

    • @LightTherapyInsiders
      @LightTherapyInsiders  Před 3 lety +1

      Normally, all LEDs, including these ones, have a lifespan of 25,000-50,000 hours. So, you can use this device for a lifetime, with normal use. -- Bart from team Alexfergus

    Do you know how to use it just for “general wellness”? It’s not in the manual... Just have it pointed at your face?

    • @LightTherapyInsiders
      @LightTherapyInsiders  Před 3 lety

      The smaller handheld units are more suitable for targeted treatment, the larger body panels (which I review on my channel) are better for a 'general body wellness' given their coverage area.
      But if you want to us the Go for general wellness, I would use it in various areas of my body - face sure, also throat (for thryoid), chest (due to the large surface area), any tight joints etc. And use it for 5-10minutes on each point.
