LOVE Ramrod! Spent a week there last April and had a blast! Love that old Florida feel! Loved being on a canal and loved a local swimming hole we found. Perfect sunset spot.

What a nice home.
9:18 A friend of mine who owned a house on Spanish Main got into an _"Is he gonna live?"_ motorcycle accident on the Overseas Hwy. His health insurance paid to have one of those stairlifts installed on his stilt-house & later removed when he was done with rehab. He truly deserved it as he'd carried his 100lb Golden Retriever up & down those same steps for the last 18-months of her life *SEVERAL TIMES A DAY!!!*
Wow, I'm glad he was okay in the long run!
@@GablesOnTheGo A week after that dog died he went to the animal shelter and the dog he came home with would bound up those stairs like a rocket, *then sit at the top of them looking down at him like, **_"Well what are you waiting for, come feed me!"_*

Hello Mark and Laurie! I’ve seen many pool properties without a fence or barrier around the pool. I thought there was a FL law that required that. Is there an exception to keys properties? Thank you!
They are supposed to have fences around them. Sometimes the entire property is fenced in so you may not notice a fence in some videos.

*In the Summer,* look for a series of at least 3 houses with their hurricane shutters up. Park your RV in the middle of these unoccupied abodes as if it were your brother's place. Search online Monroe County public records (love that Florida _'Sunshine Law'!)_ to see who the property owner(s) are, in case of the off chance an actual neighbor asks you questions. I.E., _"Tim & Mary told us 'Save yourselves some money and park your RV at our place.'"_
The only problem with my plan is that I don't own an RV!!!
Yeah and the neighbors will investigate, people watch out for other people's property here 😀
