Needless to say, the game is so much more fun now. The number one takeaway from this video: DO NOT BUTTON MASH - That was my main problem.

This technique is good bit its one of the slowest ones. I find the most important thing is what gadgets you use. I will sometimes get into a combo and start knocking down thugs with one hit then I will get four thugs on the ground and do a multi ground takedown. Or build up freeflow the use an electric charge or freeze blast. A freeze blast will immobilise half of the thugs if done well and the charge will make thugs drop some weapons. By the way this only works with the freeflow gadgets upgrade and the multi ground takedown upgrade.
I'm posing this in January 2024 and still addicted to freeflow on Joker's Funhouse. I still had no idea what variations were, only that they sometimes break the freeflow.
Still kinda valid for Arkham Knight, one thing that I wanted to add is that the reason the batclaw is quite literally useless in combat is because of the amount of active frames it takes up as batman fires the claw, the ai selecting an npc to latch on to, and then pulling them forward, this gives other npcs ample time to hit you. All you did was in the end pull a person forward with you, you could do the batclaw slam but the time to fire the claw and latch on to the target is way too much time, allowing npcs to attack you first and cancelling out the animation.
BY FAR THE CLOSEST THING TO AN ACTUAL "TIP" VIDEO FOR ARKHAM SERIES GAMES. Show of hands....how many ppl cracked their T.V. screen with a PS4 controller (out of PURE frustration) because of the stupid MotherF===ing combat style in Arkham Knight???!! just me huh? Damn.
Once u enable "critical strike", there's no turning back. The tutorial will appear mid-combat even after u disable it & that's too annoying. I'm not trying to perform a critical strike in every single battle, but the game keep saying "too soon", "too slow". So I started the campaign completely over & this time I will skip the critical strike ability.

You obviously havent played it. You are Wayne, Todd is the Arkham Knight and Red Hood but you play as The Batman.

I never could get the hang of fighting in the series but this helps, i hope the new WB game is the same because im going to kick ass with R*
