  • A superb train journey drops you off in the middle of the mountains! This route is 15 miles long and covers some beautiful and remote country in Scotland with rivers, streams, lochs, mountains, waterfalls and even 2 bothies if you want an overnight stay in a wild remote location. I took the 0744 train from Fort William to Glasgow and got off at Corrour station then walked back to Glen Nevis. I left a bike at the upper falls car park in Glen Nevis so I could cycle the remaining 6 miles back to the train station in Fort William. It's a stunning walk, reasonably flat, if not a little boggy in parts, but the views and the feeling of isolation are wonderful. Hope you enjoy the film. Thank you. I did the walk in October. There are no midges in October. The midge season is June to early September. It should be midge free when you do it.
