    Love being a kiwi, flying Air New Zealand always feels so fancy! The lounge, seats, smooth take off and landings. But most importantly the food, my family always seems to eat up the whole plate! Ka pai Air New Zealand!

    As a comercial passenger airline, why purchase an experimental aircraft which can only carry 5 passengers.... something tells me this was bought with govt subsidies because it makes no financial sense for shareholders

    • @darrenmillar2201
      @darrenmillar2201 Před 4 měsíci +1

      As an ex aircraft engineer and current lithium battery specialist I can tell you per passenger these aircraft are likely a fraction of the cost to run and maintain. They suit short distance flights between small airports where often demand is lacking or planes struggle to be filled. Scaling the numbers up can adapt easily to shifting demands of passengers and cargo, which is good for you guys as that demands more pilots. The reality is jetA1 will become unaffordable, that is fact and we live in a country of mostly renewable energy so it keeps our energy independence.
      All the issues currently with lithium batteries are being addressed.

      @darrenmillar2201 this proves taxpayers didn't fund this private corporation how? And I love all these advertised benefits however I have a good memory of these projects notoriously turning from our saviors to another huge rort of money, of which I guarantee the shareholders would not have used their own

      @@kiwihunter3476 Yes they did a long time ago, and then Airnz paid back the money saving my job and countless others post 911. I agree a lot of money is lost during transition phases, but when jetA1 becomes insanely expensive, it will be the paying customers who shout the loudest.

      For what? Too less demand

    • @rp7784
      @rp7784 Před 3 měsíci

      Why? Air NZ meets all it's demand with the aircrafts they have.
      A380s are also not very fuel efficient and are extremely expensive to run, which is why Airbus stopped manufacturing them.

    Please please please don’t use this airline
    I advise everyone not to use Air New Zealand when traveling to New Zealand.
    I have personally experienced that a flight can be rescheduled by two days and then canceled the day before the flight. I booked the hotel and the tour and were completely messed up by them. It was the worst ticket I have ever had in my life.

I apologize for any inconvenience. Your hotel and management are truly remarkable! Please understand that joining your team would be a great honor for me. Thank you in advance, and I hope you have a fantastic day!
