cringe is dead. usually whenever someone calls something cringe, that someone is in their 30s and the thing they're calling cringe is a literal child.
I feel like it's major projection whenever you focus so much on how "cringe" someone else is rather than hoping they're happy
It fell off a while ago where you’d just see anything and everyone is like “where’s the cringe? This dude is a Chad”
And lo, r/chadtopia was born
What else do you want them to comment?
Cringetopia fell off
I was on the subreddit a couple days before it was deleted. Yeah, a lot of homophobia, anti furry shit that it in itself was cringe on there. Just, I don't even know how to describe it besides half the posts that people posted weren't cringe and pretty much everyone on there was actually cringe.
Yeah, the comments saying "He's a giga Chad not cringe!! So based!" were more cringe than anything posted on there.
I know a dude that's pretty happy about this, somone took his pretty obvious joke posts in discord and posted on there then we had ppl from cringetopia raid thd server to harass him
A massive chunk of the stuff posted to cringe subreddits are blatant jokes that the moronic redditors always take completely seriously. Like every time i went on a cringe sub the whole front page was obvious satire and when you point it out they go "WeLl yOu NeVeR kNoW tHeSe DaYs" or some other lame cope like that like bruh stfu you're just a dumbass who can't tell obvious sarcasm unless they put a "/s" on the end

I think these days we are too stupid to recognise anything
@XxCoochieDestroyer69xX oh yeah, that sub too
It's not about the "bait" it's the fact they they ruined the entire subreddit just to gather people to their shitty website
@@crumbo9539 I didn't say it was about the bait, I was just pointing out that everyone on that sub actually didn't know the difference between bait and genuine posts.
Maybe if the subreddit actually posted cringe it wouldn't of turned into dogshit. One of the top rules was don't mention that something isn't cringe
How that can be a rule if "cringe" is subjective?
Being told to not mention that something isn't cringe as a rule is akin to cartoonishly sticking band-aids on a dam that is about to burst and ignoring the actual problem. It's still not cringe. Just because you don't come out and say it doesn't mean the quality of the subreddit wasn't somehow going to completely collapse in on itself. The content was low-effort bait, therefore the subreddit failed to deliver on the singular thing it was created for.
They had a way to vote if something was satire but wouldn't remove the posts 😭 that and very clear trolling and bait
The sub itself was cringe lmao. It was embarrassing to watch them at work
I've seen enough diaper wearing furries and obscene obesity in there to know that there was a good amount of actual cringe that was posted there.
r/cringetopia used to be a subreddit for just sharing things that made people cringe
But Nowerdays the entire subreddit is just people targeting/organizing harassment towards communities for just existing but masking it as being ironic ecs.

Powermods are actually a problem on reddit. Some people are mods of hundreds of subreddits and often mod with their own adgenda. Reddit admins just force one of these mods on the subreddit regardless the will of the subreddit.
The fact that someone can mod hundreds of subreddits with unchecked power is really good sign of how shit reddit is.
@@war_hawkan1727 exactly. Anything that goes against the hive mind is downvoted and banned

@@gabsnandes7818 Exactly. They moderate subreddits for free, so they aren't making any sort of living off of it. It just seems like they waste their life, sitting in a room all day doing nothing but moderating. Maybe they just enjoy the power it gives them or something lol

@@gabsnandes7818 pretty sure they don't moderate all of them. However, if you look at one of them funny or criticize them, they'll ban you from all of the subreddits they moderate
Cringe culture has always been the real cringe, ever since photos could be uploaded online it's just been projecting insecurity anonymously. It quickly turns sad to see people viewing it in person
Cringe subreddits have had this weird issue for a while now, that with time they just get weirldy politicized by their communities. Most of these subs start off as relatively lighthearted, borderline shitpost communities, but after growing above a certain size, they turn into places dedicated to bullying groups of people. The problem with this is one can never tell where the satire and shitposting end and where the actual harmful radical brigading begins. I noticed this with CringeAnarchy back in the day, when the mediocore sub for posting cringey content changed into 4chan lite with genuinely mean spirited bullying and full blown neo nazi propaganda.
Reddit itself is weirdly politicized in many ways and there are a lot of subreddits that have and still function by brigading and harassing users. Some are just less overt.

The thing I hate so much about reddit is that as long as the subreddit name reads "cringe" (or any other subreddit), people think anything goes.. literally all of em dump basic manners and justify everything just because the subreddit reads "cringetopia" (not every subreddit but certain some)
And the best and worst being the protected identity.. some ppl abuse it to be the most asshole version of themselves
And all the others that spread good, pls continue its well appreciated 😌
hi, person somewhat involved in the shitstorm that is cringetopia. the subreddit has been collapsing in on itself for a while, and rather than handling it and trying to make it better, the mods decided to pretend to be the stereotypical "furries" (i.e. being as cringy as possible while pretending to be that) to shift the blame for the subreddit's falling apart to completely uninvolved groups.

What a good samaritan, I wish I had someone to put corndogs at my buffet table.

I'm tempted to do this but spraying every corn dog with lsd... Imagine the possible shitfest!
@@arandomcommenter412 it's not. I have a food handlers license... plus, the hard exoskeleton of the corndog keeps bacteria at bay
I'm a furry, and want nothing to do with this. I lurked on it for 3 days watching it devolve into a flaming dumpster. We're not like this, please don't let bunghole mods troll you.
Had experience with this subreddit back a long while ago, at the time I didnt think much about all the posts they had on it, it gave me a good laugh. But after a while I started to realise how almost all of the posts are just mostly circle jerk and the overused trope of "anything furry bad" and stuff like that.
Glad I left reddit as a whole
I mean, a lot of furry stuff is pretty embarrassing to look at. That’s just a fact. But over saturation will make anything annoying.
Anything furry is bad

@@Im.A1ex Just because something is embarrasing to look at doesn't make it bad. If something makes someone happy I do not see the problem when it isn't harming anyone else. If making other people feel 'weird' is the extent of the harm maybe you should look at yourself and just be more understanding
How excited do you get over seeing the word cringe? So excited, that i clicked a video on my recommended, and before the page even started to
redirect, i glanced for a brief millisecond at your video sitting right next to it, and made sure to load your video before the page had a chance to even refresh.

honestly im glad cringetopia is gone
it was a very toxic community
That's usually what happens when you create a forum dedicated to laughing at people

All I took from this was basically:
an entire subreddit died because people can't say "I'm not a fan of your hobby, but you do you"
also, the infinite bot loop has hilarious.
Cringe culture is finally self destructing lol
I bet something like this was gonna happen like 2 years ago, my friend owes me 10 bucks now 😈😈
Reddit is just as bad as Twitter. There is far too much toxicity on that site.
Something that always made me mad about reddit is it's just as bad as every other social media but so many 'redditors' have a superiority complex about using reddit lol.
Discord is becoming as bad as the both of them too, which is very sad.
I mean, lgbtq servers are pretty good imo. Subs like r/me_irlgbt are pretty good because they're safe havens, and they're relatable (if you're lgbtq obv lol).
@@tuxtitan780 you mean a circlejerk like the rest of plebbit
True
The fact that this subreddit ever existed is cringe in itself
Muta, i just wanted to say thank you for all the videos! It means alot!
Growing up as i did, your creepy gaming videos helped me.
Keep up the great work!
Ironic, the sub had a dog’s death after the furry mod takeover
Wow I hate that metaphor

I hope so
@@Jebsucks well, for me it's good for computer science help and school stuff, other than that, I'm not going back in there.
@@Jebsucks it's literally traumatic.
I was on that subreddit for a long time and experienced this event for myself, and let me tell you it was hilarious how upset this made some people. The amount of overreaction from angry redditors was astounding and it was funny because it only served to make the mods more adamant in destroying that subreddit completely
I can't wait for my grand kids to listen to a recording of Muta recouting various internet culture wars
Hey Muta I haven't commented in a long time... Just thought I'd say hi and I'm happy to still be following you. It's been like 4 maybe 5 years. Great video as always 😎👊 thanks for being awesome. You've honestly got me through some times as I suffer from insomnia. Luv ya 💝
Me, a man who lives an infinitely better lifestyle simply because I do not own reddit: *interesting*
Idk man, you use youtube which isn't good for your lifestyle either
The irony. The community around that subreddit are themselves actually a source of cringe.
I was a friend of one of the moderators and there outlook on the whole situation was sort of sad. they told me that they didnt really care for the subreddit and neither did most of the mods and if it went to chaos they would jump ship and leave.
I'm not surprised cringetopia is fucking dying. 99.9% of what made Reddit absolute garbage was that single subreddit!
99.9% of 1000%

Hello! I live in his floors
I have so many memes saved from watching this actually go down. I still can’t believe it took more than a day for the Reddit admins to shut down the sub.
The whole thing took over a day and you had to say I love furries to post the first day when Elne was on their rein of terror and then after they were “supposedly” overthrown, they changed the automod to force you to say I hate furries
ironic how this mod running a server literally making fun of cringe could make a funnier post of himself than most shit posted on the reddit page
I remember the great Cringetopia wars. It was the nam of our day.
