The one I’ve wanted for years. You said it, there are long stretches where they are unavailable and the budget gets used elsewhere. Like the P10c or P07. Why didn’t CZ design those with the same grip as the 75 series? That elongated grip shape just puts the trigger a touch out of comfortable and solid reach for me. Argh! But, if you’re big enough they do shoot very well.
“You guys know there are days when you connect better or worse” (paraphrased) and that is so true. And one of the reasons I enjoy your reviews so much. A regular guy telling us about a gun without oozing perfection. I suspect editing helps keep that facade up with some reviewers. Anyway, great review!
Well said on the grips Jake! As for the shooting, you have to bae able to be honest when it's a bad day. I have many, lol. It just makes the good days that much more sweet! Editing perhaps does do a little trickery but thankfully I don't deal with speeding up frame rates or anything... I think it actually looks worse to do that and people catch on pretty quick. Better to just call it what it is and have a laugh about it. Thank you as always and cheers brother!
I have an Omega and like the feel of the straighter trigger. Changed grips to LOK thin checkered and helped with trigger reach, as well as overall fit & feel.

This video inspired me to get a CZ P-01 and make it my EDC. KSGunGuy I miss your gun reviews so much! You were the best gun reviewer on CZcams.
Easy trick for the takedown: Use the corner of the magazine baseplate to get the takedown pin popped out.
Of course you can always use a tool, but if you don't have one handy, or like me you just want to keep it simple, using the magazine definitely works.

I believe that recommendation is strait out of the owners manual. My P09 manual recommends it.
Additional tip: Those takedown lines line up perfectly with the hammer at half cock.
As it goes, this is an older video, but it pops up when I want to watch CZ videos. I have the P01 with the U.N. numbers and have had it for about 8 years. Absolutely love this gun and it pretty much is my EDC, appendix carry in a Vedder holster. Early on I had the P06 which was in 40 S&W, equally a great pistol, but when I cut back on all the calibers, I got rid of it. I don’t think they make it anymore.

My CZ PO1 is my favorite shooter. Accurate and smooth at the range. I installed the Cajun spring and trigger kits. Also replaced the rubber grips with similar thinner grips like yours. Definitely a keeper.
I love reading positive comments about this gun. I just ordered the P01 Convertible Omega.
Love it. I own one and sent it to CGW to have my Dawson sight installed and their 3 Piece Spring Kit. Made all the difference and it's one of my nicest shooting pieces, next to my Dan Wesson 1911 Eco, and that's saying something! Nice video!!

I was soo happy to find that this gun doesn't have jamming issues, it's one of the reasons I got over my 92fs.

I am amazed how long CZ stayed off my attention list. I intend to rectify this in the future. I sure love the 9mm Phantom for sure. This one looks a little more compact.
Great review! I'm absolutely a CZ fan. I own a SP 01 Tactical, 75 B Omega, P-07, and a 75 D PCR (ECD). Absolutely no issues with any of them. Looking to purchase the P-01 soon, can't wait.

Hey KS, I bought my first p-01 Omega and was really happy with the trigger. But I had already ordered the full Cajun kit lol. And it made a nice trigger even better. I am amazed at how good the trigger is cajunized. and honestly enjoy the omega more than my old p-01

I love my P01's, I think they really did knock it out of the park developing this pistol it seems to fit everyone's hand,everyone loves the feel of it it's easy to carry and does not print much at all, and you can do whatever you want to have them with aftermarket parts

The easiest way to improve the SA trigger on a CZ Omega-action is to swap out the decocker for the manual safety. I did this with my P-07, and the SA trigger pull dropped to 3.75 lb.

I just rented one of these after seeing the video last night. I swear it was reading my mind, meshed real well with me. Shot it as good as my full sized 75B Ω. This wasn't on my radar and now I want one.

Love CZ handguns, I sold my Glock 19 to buy a CZ PCR! Loved the PCR so much I bought a CZ SP01 Phantom in polymer!

My first CZ was the 10s followed by the p07 then the pcr and most recently the Rami 2075. Now I want the p01. All bought since July 2020.

I carried my P-09 as a duty gun for a while, and I thought it was one of the smoothest shooters in 9mm that I’d ever owned. So that’s why I’m picking up a P-07 as well, but I just *love* the P01 for its aesthetics and steel frame. Awesome grips by the way.....almost forgot to mention that! You could call it the “Saint Paddy’s Edition” 😁 My wife’s Irish and she saw the shamrock, so the name is her idea LOL

11 years ago I was a road supervisor for a company that responded to bank alarms, and did armed security for some of the low-income Projects in and around Boston, and I wanted a higher hi-capacity gun than the normal 17+1 most gun manufacturers make their magazines. My two choices at the time were the Springfield XDM (19+1) and the P09 (also 19+1).....CZ for the win! Yeah she’s got a weird sense of humor 😅

Give me a p01 over a p10c any day of the week and twice on Sunday. I just like the hammer fired cz’s more than their new striker fired guns. I’ve yet to see a P01 omega in the wild. I love my standard P01. P01 for the win!

There is no "notch" on the spring, the "dimple" is on the end of the Guide Rod.
Nice review. Love my regular P-01, I liked the trigger pull better than on the Omega version. Funny thing I have the P-09 Urban with the Omega Trigger, I changed it to the safety and the trigger pull seemed a "little better". Love the green trim on the LOK grips.

Great looking pistola KS. I have the original P01 and I love it. I put a tiny scratch around the takedown pin while taking the gun apart using the magazine base plate. It's bugged the heck out of me ever since so good on you for being careful!

Great review of a great gun. I had one a few years ago and foolishly sold it. At the time they were almost impossible to find. I got a lot more than I paid for it. I’ve been eyeing a high polish stainless one lately.

It really feels good in the hand and it shoot just as well as a glock, sometime better. I am a believer its the indian not the arrow. But, 1st time in my hand some really nice groups at 10 yards. Just picked one of these up. Traded in a Hellcat OSP, also a reliable quality pistol , that I’ve been carrying daily for a year now. I want to switch to appendix carry and do not feel comfortable carrying a striker fired pistol in that manner. Also I like that you can change the grips on it like a 1911. I ordered a set of the Lok Matrix thin grips in blood red with ivory accents that I think is going to look amazing can’t wait to get them. The only other thing I’ve done is change the guide rod out fo a stainless one.

I feel the same able CZs. I still have my 75B. Tactical OD green frame. Don't care for the trigger and the sights could be better but it's accurate. Not as good as the sp01 Phantom I traded away. (Idiot).
I went from owning just the P10C, to the P01 Omega, to the P10F in .45 and the CZ EVO Scorpion micro

I just found that out a few weeks ago when I picked up a used P07. Now I’m getting a P01! These guns have the best ergonomics and I love the DA/SA system. I carry appendix and the decocker is the absolute best way to avoid decocking yourself.

Great vid KS I have the O1 and O7 and the rami. And I have a few of the tri- star knock off. All shoot well and I feel that confidence if you have to pull the trigger it goes bang and not click. Glad u made this vid with great subject matter.

To me, the P01 is the better of the two, but of course it’s one guys opinion. For whatever reason, the reset and break distance on P07s/09s seems to be longer which I’m not a fan of. That said, the P07 is uber popular and many swear by them. Thank you and cheers!
@@KSGunGuy01 that is definitely one draw back of the P-07. When i used it for competition i'd get hung up on the reset of the trigger.
the p01 double action pull really makes me appreciate the kimber k6s trigger pull.

I've found the easiest way to push the slid catch out is with a magazine, never marred my gun doing so.
Nice video KS! I have a plain black P-01 and its .40 S&W bigger brother, the P-06. These are fantastic pistols. The first time I took my P-01 to the range, I hit the steel cowboy at 93 feet all 28 times. So easy to shoot and shoot well.

I believe the lower recoil of the CZ's is more so due to the slide being made of less material and thus has less reciprocating mass than other firearms, rather than it sitting "lower" in the frame. I believe the lower slide mass is actually the greater factor although I have not looked into this so I'm not exactly sure.

Found a urban grey tactical about a month ago in Kentucky and had to have it. I never shot one prior to owning one and I was very impressed. Best shooting gun I have to date. I’d like to have a black one to carry. So I’m on the hunt 😉

Seems like few are aware of it's slightly older, lesser known brother -- the P-02. The P-02 only comes with the safety (no decocker) to cocked/locked it the way to go. I find it more compact "in hand" than my 19 probably due to the better ergonomics vs Glock "brick". It "costs" one round down (14 vs 15), willing to do that for the great CZ trigger and internal slide rails.
The P02 sounds pretty awesome! Although I really like the G19, the P01 is definitely something special. Thank you and cheers!

Great gun. I just picked one up yesterday.
11/2020 i couldnt wait out the pandemic craze and paid $699. i dont mind paying a little more going through local shops, our gun shops near me are family owned and i am proud to support them. shout out MN and the other still “free” states!
I have had a CZ-75 for years. Love it . Traded the P320RX for a S&W MP Sport 2. 556. Didn't like the red dot.

So I got one too now, and the gunsmith scratched the slide while installing the sights. I'm still pissed and it's been two months.
Good review KS. I had a P-01 and I liked everything about the gun except the curved trigger. I ended up trading it and always missed it. I kept looking for the P-01 Omega with the flatter trigger, but at that time i could not find one anywhere. I did buy another P-01 and I put the flatter CZ 85 trigger in it and now I really like the gun. I might be a little bit of a trigger snob.
Thank you Randy! I agree about the curved trigger. I think the Phantom was the only one I found to be fine. I changed the SP01 tactical out for an 85 combat which really helped like you did with yours. As for finding an Omega, they’re out there but I agree that they can be a bit elusive. No shame in being a trigger snob! Cheers brother!

The P-01 is one of the sexiest pistols ever made... Being a lefty, I'm definitely getting an Omega for the "ambi" features. I never knew they bevelled the magwell from the factory, that is sweet! Nice review 👍.

CDon02 not ambi mag release though and saw that turning the mag release around could give problems putting the mag in. I am looking at the rex zero 1 compact as it has ambi mag release

Very informative KSGunGuy! Enjoy your CZ! (I'm sure you are already aware, after you decock the hammer with the decocker models, the slide will then stop perfectly aligned with the "take down" markers... then remove the slide stop pin. (OCD allowed... :) )
